Being a professional educator brings with it many rewards. It also brings with it a
multitude of responsibilities. Professionalism demands being
knowledgeable about the key areas of a discipline, and keeping
current on the research, trends, and developments within them. While this whole website is in and of itself a
statement of my professional knowledge and beliefs, below I have
highlighted three areas of education, the command of which I feel are
particularly crucial for all teachers to be successful as professionals.
