PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE: SPECIAL NEEDS

| Home: | The
multi-cultural reality and general move towards inclusion in society have created, or rather highlighted the variety and challenges
present in today's classrooms. Such a reality necessitates that
educators be cognizant of the needs of such students, and the various
methods that have been developed to best reach and support them in their
learning. While a firm believer that, "its just good teaching",
an awareness of the accommodations specific to a special need is a
necessary element of a good educational program. Below I have presented
some of the work I have done in the area of special needs.
