Maybe, Yeah just maybe, God never gave anyone a child. Maybe He just sent them here, To stay with us awhile. If they stay until they are grown, Or die before one year old, Every minute of every day, Should be treated as precious as gold. Some parents go to a graduation And point to their child with pride, Others stand beside a grave And ask why their child died. A child will sometimes make us laugh, And they sure can make us weep. So we need to always remember, They were never ours to keep. So maybe, Yeah just maybe, God never gave anyone a child, Maybe He just sent them here, To stay with us a while.
