Zy
(Dave)
< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
City Gangrel. Born into the Industrial Revolution, Zy (aka Zeitgeist) worked as a miner alongside his father, in a small town that would, some two centuries later, become the Maiden Newton of today. After the deaths of both his mother and father, Zy was left to wander alone. Falling in with a bad crowd in London, he soon found ways to survive on the street. However, his friends were attacked by a Sabbat Pack, whose Ductus took Zy (the only survivor) as his childe. Inducted into the Pack, Zy learned of his newfound companions' crusade against their ememies, the Camarilla, and wholeheartedly joined it. However, the Camarilla struck a mighty blow against the Sabbat, destroying the entire Pack, apart from Zy, who was (once again) the only survivor. Zy was alone again.

But Zy's Camarilla foes hunted him, angry that one of their enemy had survived the attack. Using their influence over mortals, the Camarilla coterie had the Police pursue, arrest and lock up Zy. However, his street experiences proved useful, and he was able to escape incarceration, and fled to Europe for many years afterward.

Returning to Britain towards the end of the twentieth century, Zy joined two Cainites, a lasombra named Switch and an Assamite
antitribu, Wei. After a year of training, and two months or successful paid hits, the trio of assassins suddenly found themselves a target themselves, arranged by their own employers. Zy, Switch and Wei split company, and went their seperate ways.

Learning that the Camarilla vampire who had led his bretheren against Zy's pack was now somewhere near the city of Maiden Newton, Zy returned to his birthplace, learning too of
the Armageddon Prophecy. While his primary agenda is hunting down and killing his enemy, Zy saw it of great importance (and advantage) to join the Sabbat of the city, and assist in the protection of the baby, Hope, who is referred to in the prophecy as the final portent before the demonic Lord Arrakon is granted passage into this world.

Zy has since proven himself on several occasions, but in particular in the slaying of
Jim Turner, which allowed for the recovery of Hope. He has also been the subject of many of the enigmatic (or possibly just insane) ravings of Cardinal Luis, who made some rather vague references to Zy's future. Still, with the loyalty of his childe Athena, Zy did not seem to be to be worried about his own personal safety, instead concerning himself more with matters of the bigger picture.

After
Livingstone rearranged the Temple as directed by the Regent herself, Bishop Tomsk chose to return to Russia on personal business. Zy saw this as being both disloyal and weak in leadership, and thus petitioned to replace him as Bishop. Livingstone agreed, on the condition that should Tomsk return, the position be

decided between the two by way of a Monamacy to the Final Death. However, Tomsks return coincided with the destruction of Livingstone at the hands of the Abomination London, leaving the Monamacy and the question of who should be Bishop up in the air.

In the wake of these events, it was resolved that there be no Archbishop of the city, and that Zy rule equally alongside fellow Bishops
Paige, Tomsk and Jemma, as a joint Council. However, his reputation and status are in danger of being damaged somewhat by the actions of his treacherous childe, Athena, who betrayed the Sabbat to London, and whose true allegiance was discovered by Bishop Tomsk.

Since the formation of the Alliance against Lord Arrakon, the Sabbat Packs were dissolved, and new groups, called cells, were set up according to the strengths and weaknesses of the members of the Alliance. Zy is Commander of the Warriors Cell.

Zy was not seen for several weeks, after visiting the cathedral with
Quentin Lewis; however, following the apocalyptic act of killing Hope aka The Beast, Zy returned, clad all in white, with news on how to destroy lord Arrakon for good, offering the Alliance one slim chance to succeed in negating the end of Humanity and therefore their own existenc.  For Zy had apparently been transformed into some sort of higher being - perhaps even an angel - and as such had the power and intent of assisting the Alliance in the annihilation of Lord Arrakon. Initially, Zy travelled far into the Deep Umbra with Guile and Jake Bullet to confront the threat there, but ended up being drawn back into the Ki'nae realm, where he faced Lord Arrakon alongside Rakh, Paige, Jemma and Faye the Fairy. With time running out, Zy was forced to expel all of his powers against the dark force, apparently sacrificing himself in the process, but also severely injuring his nemesis. It was not enough, though, and Rakh was the one to defeat Lord Arrakon in the end; however, the task would have been impossible had it not been for Zy's actions.
