Tomsk
(Tom)
< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
Lasombra. Tomsk is a recent addition to the city and vampire society as a whole, his sire died within days of Embracing him, and he learnt nothing about vampire society from him. For many years he believed that he was alone in the world, but now he desires to fit in. To his fellow Temple members he seems perfectly normal, but deep down something is wrong with him, it may only be a matter of time before it is clear to all. Recently he has moved swiftly up and down the ranks of the Temple, and his Pack; he was at one stage Ductus of The Pack of The Sane, as well as Temple Paladin. However recent events have turned against him as due to a Temple mission, the Police began investigating him. His savage instincts took over and he broke into the Police Station with the intention of brutally murdering the Chief of Police, Armin Velderra; however Velderra was not to be found and Tomsk in his rage cruelly beat a police officer, nailing him to a wall, cutting off a finger and using it to scrawl a taunt on the wall, leaving the severed digit in the in-tray of Velderra's office. Swiftly afterwards, recently acquired nightclub exploded, with high casualties, and although his body was not found, he has been placed on the 10 Most Wanted list and Police nationwide are searching for him as a cop-killer. In addition to this, in the Cainite world, the Camarilla have now placed Tomsk on their Red List, for uncertain reasons; Tomsk has not directly committed any crimes against that sect - at least, certainly not enough to warrant such a highly prestigious (in the eyes of the Sabbat) declaration. Tomsk has since returned to the Temple, and relclaimed the positions of both Paladin and Ductus.

Since his ordeal, Tomsk has been training under fellow clansman,
Mr Hunt, in the ways of the Lasombra Path of Lightless Night. After succeeding in his Trials and transferring to the Path, Tomsk learned - all too late - that Hunt was his sire, Lesteran, whom he believed destroyed, but Hunt was taken by his enemies in Tomsk's haven, and has not been seen since.

Tomsk, having been a pawn under the scheming
Mr Pin - masquerading as Shane Orton - for many months, was recently, at last, able to break away from his domitor's grip, and betray him to the Sabbat leaders of Maiden Newton, revealing Pin's true identity, which was later confirmed. Pin is now in the hands of Priscus Fortesque, while Tomsk is at last a free man again, and better still, won the Monamacy to replace Orton as Bishop.

However, his rage at the vile deeds of his sire soon resurfaced, and he decided to take it upon himself to leave Maiden Newton and his Bishopric there, perhaps for good, to hunt down those in Russia whom he believed his sire also created, desiring to destroy them all.

In this brief sojourn to the Russian city of Tomsk to hunt down the rest of his sires childer, he found it to be a Camarilla city, with none other than a Lasombra
antitribu in command as Prince. With the assistance of Samael (to the Salubri antitribus ultimate detriment), Tomsk mounted an offence against the Cainites of the city, but was unsuccessful, and so returned to the city of Maiden Newton, along with his childe Bungo, to find that Anthony Livingstone had been destroyed by  London, and Tomsk's Bishopric had been given to Zy.

In the wake of these events, it was resolved that there be no Archbishop of the city, and that Tomsk rule equally alongside fellow Bishops
Paige, Zy and Jemma, as a joint Council.
Tomsk could never understand why the Police kept referring to him as being 'suspicious'

Despite questions asked by many on his decision to briefly leave behind his Temple in Maiden Newton to go to Russia, Tomsk's loyalty to the Sabbat was proven with his lack of mercy to the traitors
Points, Athena and B. Tomsk was chiefly behind both the capture and punishment of all three.

Since the formation of the Alliance against Lord Arrakon, the Sabbat Packs were dissolved, and new groups, called cells, were set up according to the strengths and weaknesses of the members of the Alliance. Tomsk is the Warriors' representative in the Strategists Cell.

When the time for the final showdown against London came about, it happened in Tomsks own haven, and although it took almost the entire Alliance to take him down, it was Tomsk and Jemma who ultimately destroyed the Abomination infernalist.
During the effort to destroy London, Tomsk found a new weapon Lupine blood. Although unstable, the effects greatly improved his combative prowess, and so therefore the Lasombra began speaking to others of his intentions to find and store more, for use in combat (or other) situations. It therefore naturally was easy for everyone to point the finger at Tomsk when
Bella-in-Pax, of the Alliance, was abducted and found in a sea cave in Weymouth, hooked up to some medical equipment that was draining his blood. Although the evidence against Tomsk is great he hated Bella as it was nothing has been proved. Bella is, however, dead from this effort, whosever it might be.
Tomsk did not return to the Keep the following week, but instead or so it seems sent a mortal, who died just moments before several canisters of nerve gas were set off inside the Alliances meeting place. Thus, again, Tomsk is being blamed, even though there was no proof other than the Mage,
Jonas, claiming to have overheard a conversation in which the mortal said he had been sent by Tomsk.

Still, there have been much more important things to consider. With the death of The Beast, and therefore Hope, the Alliamce had to desperately mount an effort to destroy Lord Arrakon, and Tomsk, seeing the importance of this, led the part of the mission which involved going into Quicksilver and facing the Shadows - which he had created. Tomsk was almost lost in the effort to destroy Lord Arrakon, and witnessed first-hand the Final Death of Fortesque at the hands of the Shadows, but he himself survived.

Inside Information: Tomsk is named after the Wombles character of the same name, a tradition which has continued with the name of Tomsk's childe, Bungo.
