| All the best matches in SSB are here! February 14, 2001- Luigi vs Jigglypuff- The match had to restart and everything! This was almost the longest match EVER in SSB! May 28, 2001- Donkey Kong vs Fox McCloud- This is the greatest match of 2001. After a long rivalry in Spring, it ends in one match. At the granddaddy of all Pay Per Views, Memorial Civil War! It was also the main event! It was a 3-stock match. The first 2 stocks, you must throw your opponent out of the ring. And the 3rd stock, you must win by pinfall. Who can survive a match like this? July 4, 2001- Link vs Donkey Kong- The SSB Championship is on the line! Can Donkey Kong beat Link to become SSB Champion? August 8, 2001- Donkey Kong vs Yoshi- In July just before DK suffered a concussion, he faced Captain Falcon and remained SSB Champion. At the end of the week, Yoshi and Link went 1 on 1 to see who the No. 1 contender is to face the SSB Champion at the next Pay Per View, Beach Battle! It was a close match, but Yoshi defeated Link! So it was DK and Yoshi at Beach Battle; the main event. What can you expect in this kind of match? September 3, 2001- Donkey Kong vs Pikachu- It was 8 days before September 11th. The SSB Championship was on the line. Pikachu had done such a great performence at Beach Battle, (went through 3 matches in a row without losing or taking a break!) that Mario gave Pikachu this match! But how can Pikachu stand a chance against someone 5 feet taller than him? September 22, 2001- Super Smash Bros vs The Mob- A gang of 5 teenagers interrupted Mario when Mario was talking about the upcoming SSB Melee. They were the Mob. They wanted SSB to go out of business! They even helped Afghanistan bomb the World Trade Center! They challenged Mario to a 5 on 5 match! Mario accepted and said he was going to put the Mob out of business! Who are the 5 men Mario chose to take down these low-life punks? October 28, 2001- Jigglypuff vs Link- SSB Championship on the line. Jigglypuff was the SSB Champion! Link wanted his belt back so badly! Link wanted to destroy Jigglypuff just to get that belt! November 22, 2001- Mario & Yoshi vs Fox McCloud & Samus Aran- This was probably the greatest Tag Team match in SSB History! The Tag Team Champions, Mario and Yoshi go against 2 members of the NWO! Will they lose or will they remain Tag Team champions? December 23, 2001- Link vs Donkey Kong vs Yoshi- A Triple Threat for the SSB Championship! Since Halloween, Yoshi and Donkey Kong have tried the get the belt from Link at different times. But Link has been just too successful to lose! So Mario settled it all. He scheduled the 3 to all face each other in a Triple Threat match for the main event at Christmas! There is a 33.3% Link could remain champion. but if he'll lose, who will win the SSB Championship? May 27, 2002- Link vs Ganondorf- SSB Melee Championship on the line. A rematch from The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time! Can Link save the day again over Ganondorf? May 27, 2002- Donkey Kong vs Bowser- A Match Of The Ages! A No. 1 Contenders Match for the SSB Melee Championship as well. 2 Giants brawl in the ring. Who is the best? October 27, 2002- Ganondorf vs Bowser- 2 Giants Brawl for the SSB Melee World Championship! Both of these men have never lost a match in their whole career so far!
