Unbelievably Undefeated

(Week 14) The Kalamazoo Vikings went into the record book after this week as the first and only undefeated team in the regular season when they defeated the Wisconsin Wannabes 130-97. The Vikings came to play and the whole team contributed to completing one of the most dominating regular seasons in the history of the league. The combo of Culpepper to Moss just destroyed the Wannabe's spirit as they hooked up for a combined 6 touchdowns. The rookie A. Boldin even contributed late in the game with 19 points sealing away any hope for a comeback victory for the Wannabes.

The Wannabes needed to come out of the game with a victory to clinch a playoff spot. Wisconsin MVP Holmes was up to the task putting up 22 points and D. Hall tore it up for 24, but the rest of the crew didn't come up with enough firepower to stop the Viking's dreams of completing the undefeated season. The Wannabes are looking to regroup next year after failing to make the playoffs for the first time since 1999.

Kalamazoo's next game in the playoffs will see them face the upstart England Teasers, the first ever playoff appearance by the 2002 expansion team.

England 88, W. Palm Beach 86
Speaking of the Teasers, They were paired up with W. Palm Beach in one of the most exciting games in recent PWFFL History. After the apparent Wisconsin loss to Kalamazoo, this game had the 4th playoff spot going to the winner of this game. The game was tied going into the Sunday Night game, thanks to Clinton Portis's 43 point record day. Muhammad and TJ Duckett were left to play their hearts out for their respective teams. Duckett scored the TD, England took the lead and held onto it. WPB's Muhammad tried a late comeback in overtime, but the tieing and maybe game-winning catch was intercepted and returned for the game ending TD. The Chad's great season came to an end.

Rhode Island 104, Rocko 45
The former champs faced off in their last game of the season and was able to pull their team up to a respectable 7-7 record after their win against the playoff bound Rocko Bengals. T. Owens finally decided to have a huge game for the Ridicule as did their kicker and defense. The Bengals on the other hand self distructed. Some may think it was a ploy to try and avoid playing Seattle in the playoffs and others are said to have rumored that the young owner didn't want to show all her cards to her playoff opponant. Either way, Vegas is not going give them good odds against the powerful Slug team they will face in the first round. Rocko needs to get back on track or they will not make it to their second straight Puck Bowl.

N. Michigan 69, Green Bay 61
The true battle for the #1 seed in the 2004 draft. The Yoopers guarenteed a victory earlier in the week and backed up their words. The Fudgepackers were trying to avoid finishing in last place for the 2nd straight year, but the late push by J. White wasn't enough to get past the Yoopers. N. Michigan finished the year very strong and after having the 2nd longest losing streak in league history they are now riding a three game winning streak. With a full offseason and a roster to work with, the Yoopers now have some firepower to improve their team for playoff contention in 2004.

Seattle 112, Detroit 91
This game was all about bragging rights. Seattle avoided being swept by Detroit this year. The Drive didn't make it easy on the Slugs with a huge game out of the Rams Defense. The return of Michael Vick gave the Detroit fans something to cheer about, but the Drive have a lot of questions to answer during the offseason, mainly at runningback a perceived strength this time last year. Seattle is now all warmed up for the playoffs and the 2-time Bribin Cup champion is looking to add his name for the third time.

Timbuktu 64, Benton Harbor 64
The second matchup between the newlyweds ended in a tie which keeps Timbuktu in the second division, but gives them their first losing record in 2 years. Benton Harbor with the tie now will face a much easier schedule than they were forced to deal with in 2003. They had a good season sending their quarterback to the All-Star Game in week 17. Their Ravens defense, just barely missed the game. Instead the only Timbuktu Player, the Buccaneers Defense, will be making their 4th start in the All-Star Game.
