| Professions are how one spends most of his time and is an important part of character building. Plus, it's how we get stuff and how we make money. There is a variety of professions, from carpenters to smiths to genius inventors to Toad House-keepers. All jobs are important, and it's best if all different positions are filled by multiple players. All players start out with 3 profession points to be used solely on learning new jobs skills. Profession Points may be used on skills or weapons, but not vice versa. After 15 days 1 new profession point is given to everyone, allowing even more skills to be learned. It is recommend that you focus on one job. Of course, knowing two trades is helpful as well. Being a jack could have its advantages. Must jobs require materials to make their wares. For info on how to collect and where to find resources, go to Gathering Materials. Job levels are simple. A level 1 profession requires 1 profession point, and so on. In order to reach level 4, you must spend 20 days at level 3, and in order to reach level 5, spend an additional 10 days at level 4. |
