| After Paper Mario, and when the threat of Merlow had been vanquished, peace reigned in the Mushroom Kingdom. For an entire year, life continued as normal, including the wedding of Mario and Princess Peach Toadstool. Then Princess Daisy showed up, and demanded the right to rule the kingdom. Of course, most wouldn't agree, but most of the Toads in South Toad Town sided with her. After 3 months, there were still tensions, but people moved on. Except that Bowser and Tatanga had other plans. Bowser kidnapped Peach, and Tatanga abducted Daisy. Mario went after his wife, and Luigi chased his girlfriend. (Haven't you seen the movie?) 3 more months passed, and it seemed as if the two monarchs would never return. That's when the other races of the Mario World decided to make a grab for control. The Shy Guys, the Boos, the Koopas, the Dryites, the Penguins and the Toads all wanted supremecy. And so a great war began... | |||||||
| That was what happened before. | |||||||
| An alliance of the Boos and Dryites had seemed to be successful, for they were slowly winning the war, defeating the Toads and Shy Guys in the process. But it was all interrupted by the return of terror, the Council of Darkness. The rogue group of evil wizards brought havoc unto the land, but they were defeated by the famous band of heroes that had faced them twice before. However, once the threat on the kingdom vanished, the tensions grew immensely. No longer would the races work together against a common goal, and the dominant race still hadn't been chosen. No sign of either princess was to be seen. During the time of cooperation the six races prepared themselves for the war they knew was inevitable. The Dryites, the Boos, the Yoshis, the Koopas, the Bob-ombs, and the Penguins all gathered their strength. Soon, these tensions would lead back into the war that was paused before its finale... | |||||||
