Daily Journal of 1997
When someone write something on a calendar. That might be an appointment or a special date. Well I dd it too, but I did it on my computer because I want to keep a "daily journal" of 1997. As you can see the data that I made on "Total of days where Joslyn stayed per month" in Chapter 5.
January:
She is comparing with other fathers. She knew that when she meets me. I was so hurt that physical I could not do anything. So I wrote a letter to the Immigration & Naturalization Service in San Francisco. Then after a month or so, I got a call from them. They say that they cannot do anything because is a Permanent Resident with her green card. Do you think she had this plan? Yes, she did.
February:
She did not come home from work to cousin's house. Her cousin even called my mom a 6:00 in the morning to check if we have Joslyn, which we did. Then she talked to Emelyn. She wants Emelyn out of her house soon because she does not agree what Emelyn is doing. Then by the 7th, Emelyn moved in with a co-worker. She is also divorced and has little boy.
March:
My dad called Emelyn where she staying and at her work but couldn't reach her. Emelyn return my dad called that night. I called her too right after to see if she is ok. She did not feel good. Kind of got mad at me because she sleeping. Was not alone, the baby of your roommate? There are two questions in my mind; (1) Why didn't she call us here to let someone know she did not work and she could have got Joslyn. (2) If she were asleep and did not feel good. Then who is watching the baby? When Emelyn was here and did not feel good and Joslyn wants her. Sometimes Emelyn complains of no rest. Then one day Emelyn called to brought Joslyn because in-services meeting at work. Dad was not home yet, but he knows Joslyn is coming. I answered the phone. Since dad knows that Joslyn is coming within an hour or so. I asked her, "want you brought her now." Say it pleasant way. Yes again, she put my self-esteem down on the phone by saying, "No!" in a hash voice. "Just call me back when dad comes in."
April:
I called Emelyn at 10:00 a.m. to ask how Joslyn is doing, because yesterday morning when Joslyn went to her mom's house, Joslyn came back with a fever. At first l was not sure if l wanted to call because we might fight on the phone again like last week. (No, I did not write it down) As we were talking about Joslyn, she asked me about money and gives some to Joslyn because she has no money. In my mind l said to myself, "You have two jobs and you can support our own daughter. Also a few times, Emelyn wanted to brought Joslyn over so she cans her do laundry before she goes to work. POINT OUT: Emelyn has Joslyn twice a week and she should spend every moment with Joslyn. Why, she cannot take Joslyn with her to do laundry? We take Joslyn wherever we go.
Get this, I called someone to get some information. I asked her my question, she said, "Hey Joe, did you know you were in the Friday newspaper." The paper was dated April 24, 1998. I replied, "No, what did I do?" She said she saw an article under the divorce section. I shouted, "WHAT!" For a couple of seconds I could not talk. I was really in shock because I did not know that this would go this far. Then I called another friend of mine to ask if my name were in the newspaper. Surely enough, it was.
May:
When I to Superior Court in Martinez with my sister to get a copy of what kind of "Divorce Petition." That was May 5. When I read her "Divorce Petition," she did not tell the truth on her paper. This was mention in chapter 5.
June:
June 19 when Joslyn got picked up, dad asked Emelyn to brought Joslyn here at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, June 21, her schedule to work. The reason that we need Joslyn at the time is that our friend's kid first birthday in Fremont. By 9:30 a.m., mom pages her since we do not her telephone number. Then my sister answered the phone. First it was Joslyn who was on the phone to say to her auntie, then my sister say, "Where is mommy?" When she talked to Emelyn. She said, "Did you know your support to brought Joslyn here by 9:00 a.m." "Yes, but I just woke up." She got mad at Emelyn and said, "Emelyn, you do not have any alarm clock?" "No, I will bring Joslyn now." Then on June 26, she is having her three weeks vacation and leaving Joslyn with us for two weeks. She is going to Las Vegas. Also a few weeks ago she asked if she could get a copy of my CA ID to change her last name because her last name, "Almes" was on her passport and wanted to change it to "Navera." She wants a copy of our marriage certificate. No, I did not give it to her, and I am not that dumb. After her two weeks in Las Vegas, which is July 9, she will take another week to have Joslyn. Three weeks of vacation, and she do not want to enjoy her daughter?
