The
Greek King of Gods, Zeus was well-known for his
philandering ways. Very often he would change
himself into an animal so as to get close to the
maidens as well
as escape the watchful eyes of his wife Hera.
Zeus once
fell in love with beautiful Europa and transformed
himself into a white bull in order to get close
to her.
Awed by the beauty and gentleness of the animal,
Europa climbed on the bull's back and Zeus took
this chance to carry the maiden away to the island
of Crete. There, Europa became Zeus' lover and
the King of God placed the bull in the sky as
a symbol of love, beauty and strength.
Indeed, these are the qualities much sought after
by Taurus. A warm hearted and homely individual,
Taurus constantly craves for love and security.
A
faithful and loving companion, Taurus is unlikely
to
stray.
Ruled by the beautiful planet Venus, Taurus is
also artistically inclined. She has great love
and respect for beauty and may sometimes overindulge
herself in her pursuit of art. In terms of strength,
Taurus' will power
and determination should not be underestimated.
Although not easily angered, Taurus may get resentful
at times. She can be frustratingly inflexible
and greedy
and she definitely does not welcome changes in
