in Egyptian times, two brothers, Anubis and Apu-at
stood guard at the two roads leading to the Underworld.
Anubis, having the head of a jackal, would weigh
the souls of the dead passing through these roads
using his scales. The worthiness of the soul was
based on the amount of good and bad deeds did
on Earth. The soul with a higher number of good
deeds had a higher value and souls like this were
allowed into the kingdom of Osiris which is known
as Heaven today. Thus, many see Anubis as upright
and just as all his judgements were based on the
impartiality of his scales.
Libra, similar to Anubis, seeks to achieve a balance
in life. Libra's symbol the scales represent justice
and harmony and this is the motto of The Twins.
Always looking at both sides of an argument, Libra
readily offers a solution which satisfies both
parties. Peaceful and gentle, Libra seldom displays
outbursts of anger unless he encounters instances
of injustice, unfair treatment and cruelty.
Libra may seem vulnerable on the outside but do
not be fooled as he is actually quite tough. He
is easy-going and cheerful so there's no doubt
he is well liked by his peers. His affectionate
and sweet manner never fails to charm people around
him. On the down side, Libra is sometimes stubborn
and restless. He may even get too talkative that
you have to remind him to shut up. He can be a
very good listener if he wants to however and
the greatest fault you'll ever find in him is
his indecisiveness.
