SCHOOL NO.191, Bucharest, Romania
Built in Bucharest, in 1965 our school is for both boys and girls aged 7 to 15.
It has about 580 pupils in 26 classrooms and 35 teachers (11 for primary school)
who are well-qualified and very committed to their job. Apart from our
classrooms that are beautifully decorated we also have well-equipped
laboratories where we can make experiments or watch educational videos and
listen to audio-cassettes related to our curriculum.
On 15th January 2003, thanks to our parents’ financial efforts and our teaching
staff’s involvement the new IT Lab was inaugurated. It has 20 computers, a
printer, a digital camera and modern furniture.
Every year both the students and the teachers in our school do their best in
order to get good results at the contests organized at different school
subjects. So far, thanks to our committed teachers we have won a lot of prizes
at Romanian, Maths, English, French, Physics, Biology, Geography, Art and Gym
contests. All these achievements have brought us a very good reputation among
the schools in Bucharest. Moreover, we regularly take part in charity activities
such as gathering clothes and toys for the poor children or visiting old and
sick people.

STIRLING PRIMARY SCHOOL,
East London, South Africa
50 years ago, 75 children enrolled into our
school in the year 1954. They were placed into 5 classes.
Since then Stirling has evolved incredibly. With
now 1303 children, we have 21 senior primary classes, 16 foundation phase and 6
grade R classes. We even provide care for 4 and 5 year olds. We also have a
Library and 2 Computer Labs. Not to mention Cultural Rooms and a Lecture
Theatre. To celebrate our 50th year, our headmaster, Mr. Hall, who
has been with us for the past 29 years, has decided to build an indoor pool
complex. We have all raised money for this structure, by selling bricks with the
buyers name on it. These bricks will be placed in the complex.
Once a term we give credit to children
who have achieved, whether it is an academic or merit award. The various
sporting events at Stirling provide excellent opportunity and facilities. We
have two sports fields and a number of netball courts. Many children go on tours
organized by the school, all around South Africa. The Rugby boys left recently
for Pietermaritz Berg. Ms. Marais and Ms. Muller organize a play each year. Mrs.
Venter is in charge of our award winning choir and music department.
We learn a lot about other countries, as we
welcomingly host pupils and teachers from around the world. Stirling is indeed a
wondrous school.

VALLEY FELLOWSHIP CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, Huntsville, Alabama, USA
VFCA was founded in the fall of 1987 offering students a
sheltered, caring environment that causes them to flourish in Christian
character, to know God, and to develop academically and socially. We have taken
missions trips to Russia and Jamaica, as well as numerous trips to Washington,
D.C. The school often participates in a national high school competition in
Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prayerfully consider the school environment that is best for
your child. We may be the school that is right for you. The faculty and staff of
VFCA are honored to be used by God in training the next generation. Come to be a
part of pursuing excellence at VFCA. An education is important. A Christian,
quality education is priceless.
VFCA offers outstanding curriculum that presents all subjects from the
perspective of God's Word. From pre-K through the 12th grade, students are
challenged with Christian curricula designed to develop their full academic
potential. From our foundational emphasis on phonics to our advanced math and
sciences, students are offered a well-rounded approach that prepares them for a
lifetime of learning.

INTERED KALLITHEAS, Athens, Greece
Located in Athens, Greece our school is
part of a big and well-known organization called Interlingua-Intered. For the
last 25 years it has been providing people (aged 7-77) with the opportunity to
take foreign language and Information Computer Technology courses.
Interlingua-Intered is also an academic and examination
centre for CIE (Cambridge International Examination). Besides, it also issues
International Diplomas in ICT.
We have students from 7 to 77 years old and basically help
them to develop their computer skills.
We would like very much to communicate (via the Internet) with children all over
the world and get to know one another better. We would also like to
practise and improve our English. For your information, we study it as a second
language.

The Duke
of York's Royal Military School, Dover, England, UK
The Duke of York's
Royal Military school is situated in the heart of Dover. But it hasn't always
been this way, in 1803 was when the school first opened. It was built in
Chelsea, but due to the World Wars we were evacuated and we settled in Dover in
1903. The school celebrated its 200th birthday just last year. The school used
to be an all boys school but only 11 years ago were girls introduced. Now there
are many girls.
In our school there
are many boarding houses for both girls and boys.
All the houses are named after famous war heroes. Here are some of them:
Marlborough, Wolfe, Clive, Wolsey, Wellington etc.
The school is only
for children whose mums or dads have been in the armed forces. This because it
is a military school and when you get into year nine then you start doing CCF
(Combined Cadet Force)
and you learn all about the army. In your year ten you get to go on CCF camp and
you take part in a series of different exercises.
CCF teaches you all
the things that the British Armed Forces learn in their training.
We have a chapel, a
dinning hall, a swimming pool, a sports field for running, sports fields for
hockey, netball, rugby, tennis, etc. We also have a range of different clubs
that pupils can do.
Participating pupils:
Ellen C., Nichole B., Catherine (Lizzie) K., Natasha G., Joseph W., Georgina P.,
Danielle F., Prerana G., April C., Siobhan C., Georgina B., Daniel K., Nikita
M., Hannah S., Eleanor C., Samantha M., Jennie W., Loiuse T, Natalie W.
