Enrolment is open to all who meet the following entry requirements.

• School leavers with Sixth Form Certificate in four or more subjects (or equivalent unit standards package)
• Students over the age of 20 can supply a detailed statement of educational background and work experience in place of the Sixth Form Certificate.
• Each application is considered on individual merits.

The New Zealand College of Early Childhood Education is a registered private training establishment and students are eligible for financial assistance in the form of Student Allowance and Student Loan.
