Formed in 2004 out of the ashes of Carbon Sun, Mouth Of Wilson features much more than a new rhythm section. They play acoustic rock and pop with a poetic flair, with influences that are as varied as the members themselves. They fit somewhere between U2 and BTO. Despite the fact that they feature acoustic guitars they are a powerful and potent group. With an electric and acoustic guitar paired on most songs and three main songwriters MOW is more than just the sum of its parts. This colaboration makes their bond strong and I see a bright future ahead for them.

It had been a long wait for their self-titled debut but it was well worth it. One listen and you'll know why. It is one of the most varied records I've ever come across, independent or major label. It was produced by Michael Kianka, who also worked on Dave Devlin's first album and is one of the best local producers.
