Future 86 gets to the heart of what rock 'n roll should be - fun and loud - and it shows in their music and performances. They honor the best hard rock, pop, punk and metal ever recorded. They have been featured in many New York/New Jersey area publications and music websites. With their second album, After Party, you can take their catchy tunes anywhere. You can sample their take on rock classics with a album of covers, Just For Kicks.
They mainly play in New York City and northern New Jersey but travel to New Hope every few months. They always have a great show but I will say that they often provide comedic banter between songs. That might not be your cup of tea but most of it is entertaining and I think that helps endear them to their fans. When they play a full night they spice up their show with Billy Idol, Pat Benatar, Poison, Cheap Trick, Judas Priest, Green Day, No Doubt and Ramones covers, among other rock classics from the 1970s to today. I try to see them each time they come to John and Peter's. While in town they stay at another local fan's house and I often hang out there after the show.
