John and Peter's - 9/1/07
When I arrived at John and Peter's for Mouth Of Wilson on this night I was surprised to find that the Fire Flies were the headliner, MOW was not even mentioned on the posted signs so I thought for a moment that I had made a mistake. But when I saw Joe's sister and her boyfriend walking up I knew everything was fine. In the end I had made a mistake because I came out later than I normally would and missed out on a really good band. Oh well. Highlights of the show included me being serenaded with a new song "Don't Be Shy, Catapilla" (they must have practiced it) after they gave me a shout-out halfway through the set. The third band cancelled so they took a short break and came out for a second set. After the show Chris asked me if I would like to come up on stage and sing with them sometime. It would be a dream come true but I wondered if he had talked to the rest of the band about it first. Maybe I'll just do one song but either way I need to start practicing...
