Burlap and Bean - 7/28/07
I decided to take a trip on the PA Turnpike and Blue Route to check out Laura Cheadle at Burlap and Bean in Newtown Square. I was happy to be seeing her at another venue other than World Cafe Live. The trip was pretty uneventful until I backed over a curb in a nearby parking lot after I stopped to check my directions. After experiencing some flashbacks from my accident I got someone to help push my car back over the curb and I was on my way. By the time I got there I had completely missed the opening act but was just in time to see Laura. Due to the extra time Laura and her band were able to play more songs, some of which I hadn't heard before. Now I think I will be picking up her album. I overheard that members of the band were not thrilled to be playing a coffee shop but I enjoyed the intimate setting.
