North Star Bar - 5/22/08

For the first time I had gone down to Olde City to see music in over a year I took in Blue Sinatra and a few other soul acts at the Khyber. It was my first time there and it seemed like of a meld of two other Philly venues that are no longer open, Abilene and the Pontiac Grille, which had small stages but an intimate atmosphere. It was a bit tight on the stage so Steve wandered through the crowd throughout the set. The band unveiled their secret weapon, the Devastator, a synthesizer that Steve played on for "Take Me Home" and a few other songs.
