North Star Bar - 3/27/08
Blues Sinatra played their first show in Phildelphia in 2008 opening for Ballyhoo for their release party at the North Star Bar. Valerie was not able to make the show but Corey filled in on vocals quite nicely. Steve moved around as usual, playing in front of the stage and on the steps. The band and myself encouraged the crowd to move closer to the stage throughout the set but to no avail. (The crowd really didn't get into it until Ballyhoo came up.) So Charlie and Corey, playing a tambourine and shaker respectively, joined Steve and interacted with the crowd during the instrumental break. They performed all three new songs they had preview on MySpace, including "Don't Take Me Home," "You Amplified" and "My Favorite Way." The band was given so extra time so they finished the set with a shortened version of "What Goes On."
