John and Peter's - 12/19/08
Future 86 finally returned to John and Peter's for the first time since March but brought along a new bass player and drummer, Paul and John. The show was still very solid but there was no way that Armand's controlled mayhem and between-song commentary could be replaced. John, however, did have a Bun E. Carlos-like vibe. With such a long time since we last saw them there were bound to be new covers. "Rehab" was a suprising choice but "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'," "Daytripper" and "You May Be Right" fit right in on the set list. In the final set, the band did a servicible cover of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". Finally, continuing the tradition of previous bassists Ron and Kevin, Paul took the mike for a few numbers.
