The Sons And Heirs @ John and Peter's

I was so happy to back at John and Peter's even with their exemption from the state-wide smoking ban. Josh, a friend who lives nearby, sent me an invite to see the Sons And Heirs, a New York-based Smiths/Morrissey tribute band. Since none of the bands I knew had played there since April, I'd check out any interesting group just to be back in the club. I had only heard "How Soon Is Now?", their best known single in the US, but I was familar with Morrissey's solo career. The band seem to sound just like Smiths even including the effects, accesible through a touch-pad synthesizer. Singer Ronnissey sang just like Morrissey and even talked to the audience using a British accent. There were flowers placed all over the club and the audience was encouraged to toss them onstage during the show.
