Registration of Malaysian Citizen abroad

Malaysian nationals residing overseas are required to register as soon as possible with the nearest Embassy, High Commission or Consulate General of Malaysia. Kindaly complete the form in full and attach a passport sized photograph. Please return it to the nearest Embassy, High Commission or Malaysian Consulate as soon as possible.

Registration of Marriage

The Registration of Marriage must be done at the Embassy, High Commission or Malaysian Consulate. Forms must be original and are available at each facility.

Items to bring:
- Two passport sized photograph for both bride and groom.
- Passports.
- Identification card.

Registration of Birth

All Malaysians born out of Malaysia must be registered at an Embassy, High Commission or Malaysian Consulate. Forms must be original and are available at each facility.

Items to bring:
- Original child birth certificate.
- Father and mother's passport.
- Father and mother's identification card.
- Marriage certificate.
- 2 copies of child's photograph.
- The child must be brought to the embassy.

Report of lost or stolen Passport and Renewal of Passport

Lost, stolen or renewals of a Malaysian Passport must be done personally at the Embassy of Malaysia. For lost and stolen passports, bring all necessary documents including return tickets and or vouchers.

Items to bring:
- Identification card.
= Photocopy of the lost or stolen passport (if applicable).
- >Any kind of document as a proof of Malaysian Citizenship.

Cost of a new passport:
- 32 pages - RM 300 - 64 pages - RM 600

Notary Services

Official Notary Services are available by the Consul Office at the Embassy of Malaysia. Bring a form of ID and documents to be Notarized to the Malaysian Embassy.

Notaries are done by the Third Secretary, Mr. Din Che Lah.
