  Mom Robertson's 50th Birthday

All of Dave's siblings flew home to Texas to surprise his mother for her 50th birthday. She didn't know what was going on until she walked in on a decorated kitchen and her 5 children.  Surprise!

And the biggest shock and present of all, Matthew, on a mission in Guam, got permission to call home.

The Robertson kids have ZERO problem teasing each other, so naturally, they picked out an appropriate cake. They also had a funniest card contest.

Here everyone poses. You'll note that Matthew, the missionary, is present in cardboard form.

Melanie also brought her 3rd child Jane for everyone to meet.

Everyone went to Museum of Natural History (?) one day. Not a coincident that Mom had 8 pictures of the moose; she loves moose. She's decorated her home with moose, bears, pine, and cabin plaid.

Look out! Here comes the Robertson silliness. All weekend it was silliness, with water fights, play, teasing, and fun. They dyed Easter eggs and the biggest goof-off of all...

The Matthew cardboard cutout was more than they could stand. First they tied him to their picnic table, which was funny because when Matthew was little, he liked being pretend tied to the same table.

Then his sisters took a turn. He looks shocked!

Then there was the hangin'. Danny gets the credit for the noose, but you could count on any boy in the scouting family to remember how to tie that knot!

Looks like he was too light to get the job done.

But here he looks like he's taking care of business, reading magazines and all. Reminds me of a movie...

Poor Matthew. Of course his fiancé will have have to see all of these pics.

Oh, how adorable! Melanie and Julie used to dress Matthew up like a girl when he was little. Looks like he still hasn't outgrown it!

And finally, a respectable picture of Matthew driving his Dad's new Miata, seatbelt and all. What a crazy crew! What a crazy weekend!
