My Picture Subjects
& Places
My home and immediate surroundings,
situated in a little town by the name of Elderton, Pa.
We are a rural community in between 2 modest size cities, Kittanning
and Indiana, PA. We have a nice little dam (Keystone Lake) a couple miles down the road and
some excellent trout streams close by. This is Southwestern Pa. and we are
engulfed by hills. No flat land around here!
We have a camp we love
to go to in Potter County
located on the extreme northern border, central
Pennsylvania..... Shinglehouse, Pa.
It is my husband's Grandmothers camp. Fishing and
hunting is awesome there and they are our year-round outdoor activities.
My brother has a cottage in the
Thousand Islands on the St. Lawrence Seaway near Cape Vincent, N.Y. Never hunted there but the fishing is
outstanding there, also.
My home town is on Lake
Ontario, Rochester, N.Y.
More great fishing, are you getting the picture, yet?
We are "Water People", we can't live anywhere without becoming
connected to aqua.
My favorite vacation spot of
all is anywhere in the Adirondack
Mountains, New York. Good fishing and lots
of water and scenery that just blows your mind.
My oldest son, Jeff, is a
wildlife biologist and he lives in Alaska. My youngest son, Toby, travels up
every summer for a vacation with Jeff. They hike, canoe, kayak, fish and
camp in Alaska, and the
Yukon
in Canada. Jeff is an
expert photographer. I
will dedicate one page to Alaska and Canada, photos from Jeff or Toby and
friends who have vacationed there. And in case you're wondering why I don't
have Alaska pictures of my own to share, I haven't made it up there yet. I
will, some day.
My husband, Frank, a
welder for a power plant. Frank also has a "thing" for computers,
he likes to read about the newest technology and figure out how it works. He
is my "technical advisor". :) And, of course, hunting and fishing
take up a lot of his spare time.
I am a cat lover. I have 5 cats living full time
with us. We also have
a Beagle.
I work in a
restaurant part time.
I love all things that
spring up from the ground and all wildlife so you'll see a lot of flowers, fur
and feathers.
