Gabby
and Boo |
| Here's a couple of my favorite cat pictures.
Gabby and Boo playing, this pipe directs a stream under the road by camp.
It's just a little run but the water was super low this year and it was
almost dried up. There hadn't been any rain for a month and there was a
ban on campfires and burning while we were up. Kinda stinks not being able
to have a fire out front at night. |

This is Ugly Bill. He and his mom, I think, figured out
our cat doors and would come to eat cat food almost every night. I let
them go for awhile, cuz it was neat to watch them and they didn't smell or
make a mess until Wilamena (mom) dropped one of her babies on the way out
in the middle of the night. The strange squealing woke me up and the baby
was even uglier than the adults. I picked it up and opened the cellar door
and there was Wilamena, sitting on the top step. I dropped the babe on her
back and she waddled down the stairs. That was the last straw for me and
shortly after that incident we got a
live trap and relocated them to a new neighborhood.

My neighbors got some chicks to raise for eggs. Of
course I couldn't resist taking a picture.

Fresh
Eggs |
And look what I got from them 4 months later! The eggs
were small but good eating. They now have a sign on their mailbox saying
Eggs For Sale.

| Annie is a cat that suddenly appeared on my back porch one
night when I came home from work. I planned on finding a home for her
but I fell in love with her and she stayed. I taken in a few strays over
the years and they seem to be more devoted and loving than the ones we
raise from kittens. I suppose that's because they are so grateful to
finally have a good home. I highly recommend adopting an adult cat if
you're looking for a great companion. |

TIP
Use A Different Point Of
View
I like to get close to my target when it comes
to flowers, children, & small animals. Of course I have the advantage over most of you since I'm only 5 feet tall. :) So get down on your knees, lay down, whatever you have to do to get on the same level as your subject.
Try shooting from a different angle, straight up or down, or shoot with your target off-center.
Imagine your image divided by lines ( 3 horizontal & 3 vertical ) then
position your target at a point where the lines will intersect.
