Alaska & Canada
|
Here are some Alaska / Canada photos, unfortunately
I can't give all the details cuz I wasn't there and I didn't take these
pictures. I got some good feedback from those of you that viewed my old
Alaska page so I thought I should share some more of them.

Jeff

This is my oldest son, Jeff, doing his wildlife biologist
thing. I guess he was taking a little rest. Not a bad spot for a break, eh?
This was one of
Jeff's slides I recaptured with the digital. Don't know who took the
picture.

Toby
- Pondering the Meaning of Life?
|
|
Jeff shot these on their annual trip last summer with
his Canon. He really puts Toby through some tough tasks when they get
together. Toby is not an active person and those of us that know
him well get a good chuckle out of this picture.

Jeff brought these slides home to give us a show this
Christmas. I captured these pictures with my digital camera from his
slides projected on a sheet. That's why they are a little fuzzy and
there is some distortion on the sides.

Reflections
|
|
Nighttime falling, it's probably midnight, one of those
long summer days they have in the far North. You can see Jeff &
Toby's reflection in the water but they are not visible on the dark
ground. Cool picture!

Jeff getting to the top the hard way. Most of the time
I would rather not know about him doing stuff like this! Makes me dizzy
just looking at the picture.

Foxgloves
|
|
Wildflower shot in the far Northwest, not sure if this is Yukon
or Alaska. Foxgloves were introduced from Europe and naturalized in
various parts of North America. They are a popular garden flower with
numerous flowers on a spike and conspicuous spots interlining the throat
of the tubular flowers. I imagine they became wildflowers the same way
all seed plants are regenerated; wind, birds, mammals, etc.

Mother Nature does everything in the extreme up there.
Wish I could have seen it in person.
