Do the Words of the Prophets Hold for Us Today?
One final and last recommendation on a course of action to take should go without saying:  Pray!  Many often say that the greatest burdens to accepting Christ are Christians.  Sometimes we are our own worse enemies and are the very stumbling block for others to enter into His holy presence.
Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm.  Nothing is too hard for you.  You show love to thousands but bring the punishment for the fathers' sins into the laps of their children after them.  O great and powerful God, whose name is the LORD Almighty, great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds.  Your eyes are open to all the ways of men; you reward everyone according to his conduct and as his deeds deserve.  You performed miraculous signs and wonders in Egypt and have continued them to this day, both in Israel and among all mankind, and have gained the renown that is still yours.  You brought your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror.  You gave them this land you had sworn to give their forefathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.  They came in and took possession of it, but they did not obey you or follow your law; they did not do what you commanded them to do.  So you brought all this disaster upon them (Jeremiah 32:17-23).

Could the Lord be telling us this in our time?  Has the majority of the world kept themselves from the presence of the Lord because of the actions, attitudes, and beliefs that so many of us Christians exhibit that those individuals may construe as being racist?  Is that one of the reasons why the liberals are so adamant about preaching on multiculturalism in a way that they define it to be?  Are we losing some of those that are close to us because we refuse to teach on issues concerning multiculturalism?  That one issue was presented as part of the research process.  One white male at a church in the area stated that the reason he is so against a Christian studying the issue of multiculturalism is that one of his relatives took a similar class at her university and left the faith because of her newfound tolerance towards other cultures.
