| Peter received his calling to minister the Gospel to the Gentiles in Acts 10:9-23. Later in Galatians 2:11-21 Paul opposes Peter because Peter was showing favoritism towards the Jews. Peter had no problem associating with the Gentiles and ministering to them until the Jews were present at the same time. When both the Gentiles and the Jews were present, Peter would retreat from the Gentiles and only associate with the Jews. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| By Peters actions, Peter had led Barnabas away from the truth of the Gospel. This gives us a racial definition of what could be taken from Romans 14:13-21: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brothers way. As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died. Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men. Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. It is better not to eat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| We can see here that if we do anything that causes our brother to sin that we are wrong. Sometimes the words we use or the actions we take can stir anger in our brothers heart which can trigger him to act in some way or commit murder in his own heart. This is clearly against what God teaches. From the examples shown above and from many more throughout the Bible we can see that: |

| Judging people simply on ht basis of their skin colour or national origin is just as sinful as fornication. The Christian would need to rethink his thinking and not become conformed to the world and its way of thinking, A renewed mind would allow the Christian to see people as people and not as a race or as a colour. Basically, the mindset of the Christian should be reflective of the things of God rather than procrastinating in such idiosyncrasies that God does not even consider. The key is a renewed mind. Therefore, in the matter of the colour of God it really does not matter what colour God might be. God is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23). Part of that truth is that God sees no colour in His people and expects His people to have like vision (Carter I, Christian Living, FaithWriters.com). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
