Brother Phil Martinez of Hispanic descent provided a testimony of how he benefited from a cultural diversity-training program (Appendix D).  I also know that I myself have benefited from the privilege of being offered a cultural diversity-training course.  I have used this information not just to start ministering to another individual in the ministry who was being oppressed by individuals of my own race in his workplace, but I also took this information with me on a bus ride once and had to confront someone about their actions (Appendix E).

Through this cultural diversity training that I have received over the course of the last semester and the research that I have done on my own I have taken a huge leap of courage that I feel we as Christians are asked by God to take.  I feel that sometimes just because we read His word it does not necessarily become real to us until we make some promises to Him concerning His eternal word.  I have thus made a promise to God concerning that which I have learned.  This promise can be seen in Appendix F, God commands us not to make rash vows, but to think through them thoroughly before we decide to make them.  Starting in Acts 21:17 gives an account of Paul making a vow similar to the one I have made and the events following as he goes on his mission that the Lord has put him on in building the Church for the glory of Jesus Christ.
