Text Box: His Highness, the Aga Khan, is the 49th direct descendant of Mohammad, through Ali, his cousin who married Fatima, the Prophet's daughter.

The leader is the 49th descendant of Mohammad, one of the principal spiritual leaders of Muslim Shi'ites:

"I think that monotheistic religions, having an analogous BELIEF IN AN ONLY GOD, should and must dialogue. The three religions which Abraham inspired have many more common facets than those which divide them.

Aga Khan urges tolerance in the world

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By Penny MacRae

NEW DELHI, April 19 (Reuters) - The Aga Khan, spiritual head of the world's 15 million Shia Ismaili Muslims, said on Saturday survival of an interdependent globe hinged on people showing tolerance of the cultures, values and faiths of others.

Prince Karim Aga Khan, speaking to Reuters in an interview in the aftermath of the Iraq war, said the need for better cross-cultural understanding had never been greater at what he called a "clearly a defining moment in world history".

Tolerance of other cultures, values and faiths was "essential to the very survival of an interdependent world" and education was a crucial tool in achieving this, said the Aga Khan, a wealthy philanthropist and a key force in preserving Islamic cultural history.

"Pluralism is no longer simply an asset or a prerequisite for progress and development -- it is vital to our existence," he said.

Islam is for muslims *al--Haqq — the Truth*

A Passage from the Quran on Khilafat

The Muslim Sunrise, Summer 1995

by Ahmadiyya Muslim Community 1995-2001

Allah had promised to those among you who believe and do good works that He will surely make them Successors in the earth, as He made Successors from among those who were before them; and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them; and that He will surely give them in exchange security and peace after their fear: They will worship Me, and they will not associate anything with Me. Then who so is ungrateful after that, they will be the rebellious.

(Surah Al-Nur, Verse 56)

Commentary:

The present verse embodies a promise that Muslims will be vouchsafed both spiritual and temporal leadership. The promise is made to the whole Muslim nation but the institution of Khilafat will take a palpable form in the person of certain individuals who will be the Prophet's Successors and the representatives of the whole nation. They will be, as it were, Khilafat personified.

Briefly, the verse under comment covers all these categories of Khalifas, viz., the Holy Prophet's rightly-guided Khalifas, the Promised Messiah, his Successors and the spiritual Reformers or Mujaddids. Their mission, as the above verse says, is to protect the Law and to bring back "the erring flock into the Master's fold."

contradiction

'the Institution of Mujaddids is an Evil (Fitna)!!!

'crushed this evil [fitna] for all time'

"No Need of a Mujaddid in the Presence of Imamate"
Mirza Tahir Ahmad, The Fourth Imam’s Friday Sermon of 27th August 1993:

"27 August: Our Leader, Hazrat Imam of the Ahmadiyya Jama’at, may Allah help him with His Mighty support, has said that God’s support and His testimony through His acts have proved that there would be no need for a Mujaddid (Reformer) in the presence of the Imamate.

"There is no need of a Mujaddid in the presence of the Imamate." The deliverer of this sermon has laid his entire emphasis and exhausted all his knowledge on one point -- that no Mujaddid (Reformer) can appear when an Imam or a Caliph is present! Nay, he has gone so far as to call the institution of Tajdid (appearance of reformer at the head of every century) a mischief (fitna).

"Since the imamat [i.e. Qadiani khilafat] is in existence, there is no need for the coming of a mujaddid. The supporting testimony of God has crushed this evil [fitna] for all time. The imamat shall not end till the Day of Judgment, so there is no need for a mujaddid till the Day of Judgment.

question

based on his [COMMENTARY] -- Zohurul Hoque note#24:55 [pp. 606/7]- given above /below.

a.    are the muslim believers and doers of good [save the holy prophet's ahl al-baiyt i.e., the rightful holy imams [pbuth]; in the current islamic dispensation;

b.    equal or comparable to the israelite 'nabis-prophets' of the mosaic era, as claimed by the said author -- zohurul hoque?

please note that in this particular instance, he DID NOT compare the holy prophet [sas] with his former israelite counterpart namely, hzt. musa-moses [as], etc., by citing - Deuteronomy 18:15,18-19 (KJV) & HQ 73:15 i.e., he was 'a prophet like unto moses' [pbuth].

on the contrary, he only EXALTED the muslim 'believers and doers of good' to the level of the israelite nabis-prophets.

complete details to follow in my next installment.

c.    however, where in the holy qur'an did allah equate the two i.e., the muslim believers and the israelite nabis?

d.    also where in the holy qur'an did allah say that the muslim believers and doers of good, [save the rightful holy imams [pbuth], will succeed the holy prophet muhammad [sas] in the earth?

please note that i am not talking about one nation succeeding the other, as is clearly stated in the holy scripture. i am only referring to the 'muslims' -- as becoming 'successors of the holy prophet.'

Aga Khan urges tolerance in the world

"Pluralism is no longer simply an asset or a prerequisite for progress and development -- it is vital to our existence," he said.

that said, it must be noted that both the finality of the prophethood and completion and perfection of islam culminated ONLY AFTER declaration of the holy imamate in succession to the former and not prior to it.

insha'allaah the holy qur'an's steadfast testimony [5:67; 15:86-99] in this regard, will stand irrevocable until the last day.

qur'anic interpretation and a step by step analysis of  the verse 'noor - light 24:55'

now, who were/are the true and real witnesses over mankind besides the holy prophet [sas] [2:143; 24:55];  mentioned in the holy qur'an?

are they also the 'middle nation and doers of good' between the holy prophet [sas] and mankind as depicted CLEARLY in the same?

'ummat stands for an imam'

Wa Kadhalika Ja`alnākum 'Ummatan Wasaţāan Litakūnū Shuhadā'a `Alaá An-Nāsi Wa Yakūna Ar-Rasūlu `Alaykum Shahīdāan  (143).

Thus We have appointed you a middle nation, that ye may be witnesses against mankind, and that the messenger may be a witness against you. [2:143, pickthall]

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 2:143]

To understand this verse it is necessary to know the meanings of some important words and phrases used in it.

(1) Ummat does not always mean a community or a nation. In verse 120 of al Nahl it refers to a single individual-Verily Ibrahim was a people (ummat) obedient to Allah.

qur'anic linkage

  • 'Allah's are the fairest names'

  • 'a nation who guide'

  • 'Our revelations'

question

could this 'ummat-nation' of the holy imams [pbuth] also be, 'Lillahi Al-'Asmā'u Al-Ĥusnaá -- allah's are the most beautiful names'?

well, they must be BECAUSE they are allah's MANIFEST PROOFS or REVELATIONS, which allah had 'bidden to be joined unto him,' -- [surah al-fatihah 1:5,6; AL-BAQARA  2:27; AR-RAD 13:19-25].

here's the qur'anic linkage for your further perusal, contemplation and meditation.

Wa Lillahi Al-'Asmā'u Al-Ĥusnaá Fād`ūhu Bihā Wa Dharū Al-Ladhīna Yulĥidūna Fī 'Asmā'ihi Sayujzawna Mā Kānū Ya`malūna -- 007:180.  Allah's are the fairest names. Invoke Him by them. And leave the company of those who blaspheme His names. They will be requited what they do.

Wa Mimman Khalaqnā 'Ummatun Yahdūna Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Bihi Ya`dilūna (181)

And of those whom We created there is a nation who guide with the Truth and establish justice therewith. (7:181)

Wa Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi'āyātinā Sanastadrijuhum Min Ĥaythu Lā Ya`lamūna (182

And those who deny Our revelations - step by step We lead them on from whence they know not. (7:182)

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 7:181]

Those who have been thoroughly purified by Allah (Ahzab: 33), the Ahl ul Bayt of the Holy Prophet, are the people who guide mankind with truth. Also refer to the commentary of al Baqarah: 143.

Aqa Mahdi Puya says:

Since the creation of man there had been and should always be a person, present in this world, to guide others with truth. In view of this fact the Holy Prophet has said: "Whosoever dies without recognising the Imam (guide) of his age (in order to follow his guidance) dies the death of an ignorant pagan."

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 7:182]

The most important signs of Allah have been referred to in the preceding verse. The beliers of His signs in verse 182 may enjoy a temporary respite but Allah shall punish them in a way that they will not know.

Wa Ltakun Minkum 'Ummatun Yad`ūna 'Ilaá Al-Khayri Wa Ya'murūna Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Yanhawna `An Al-Munkari Wa 'Ūlā'ika Hum Al-Mufliĥūna (104).

Ye are the best community that hath been raised up for mankind. Ye enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency; and ye believe in Allah. And if the People of the Scripture had believed it had been better for them. Some of them are believers; but most of them are evil-livers. [3:110]

Lo! Abraham [IMAM- 2:124] was a nation obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolaters;

PLEASE NOTE THAT HZT. IMAM IBRAHIM [AS] HAD BEEN DEPICTED AS AN 'UMMAT--NATION' IN HIMSELF. meaning, every holy imam [sa] of the age is also an 'UMMAT' in himself.

allow me to explain.

let's begin with the qur'anic reference he had given to substantiate his viewpoint.

zohurul hoque:  'allah has promised [three things] to those among you who believe and do good [2:25]'

the verse in question reads

2:25. And convey good news to those who believe and do good deeds, that they shall have gardens in which rivers flow; whenever they shall be given a portion of the fruit thereof, they shall say: This is what was given to us before; and they shall be given the like of it, and they shall have pure mates in them, and in them, they shall abide. Shakir's Quran Translation

2. 25:C44. This is the antithesis to the last verse. If fire is the symbol of Punishment, the Garden is the symbol of felicity. And what can be more delightful than a Garden where you observe from a picturesque height a beautiful landscape round you, - rivers flowing with crystal water, and fruit tree of which the choicest fruit is before you. The fruit of goodness is goodness, similar, but choicer in every degree of ascent. You think it is the same, but it is because of your past experiences and associations of memory. Then there is companionship. If sex is suggested, its physical associations are at once negatived by the addition of the word Mutahharatun "pure and holy." The Arabic epithet is in the intensive form, and must be translated by two adjectives denoting purity in the highest degree. The Companionship is that of souls and applies to both sexes in the physical world of men and women. And this felicity is not a mere passing phase but will abide beyond the realms of Time. Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans

as can be seen from the above qur'anic text and interpretation thereof, it had absolutely nothing do with what zohurul hoque would have us believe. to this, he adds:

'there is no 'abrogation in the entire qur'an'

'such verses MUST BE interpreted on the basis of the fundamental ones 39:23'

zohurul hoque: note #3:6 --these [ayats]-- [or verses] are the mother [i.e., foundation] of the scripture, and others are allegorical [or ornamental, giving different  meanings, such verses MUST BE interpreted on the basis of the fundamental ones 39:23]. ... they in fact follow  the allegorical part of it seeking [to create] trouble and seeking to give it [imaginary] interpretations [in the form of mythological stories , instead of BASING ON THE FUNDAMENTAL verses of the qur'an: and when they fail to justify their myths with other verses, they claim one or the other verse as abrogated, whereas there is NO discrepancy NOR ANY ABROGATION in the entire qur'an 4:82]. [pp. 85] [own addition/distortion, navali]

qur'anic  comparison & distinction

i.     a 'prophet like unto moses'
ii.     'you' vis-à-vis 'Pharaoh'

1.   73:15. Lo! We have sent unto you a messenger as witness against you, even as We sent unto Pharaoh a messenger.

none will argue about the above.

'ye,' the muslims  vis-à-vis the 'disbelieving followers' of moses

2.    2:108. Or would ye question your messenger as Moses was questioned aforetime? He who chooseth disbelief instead of faith, verily he hath gone astray from a plain road.

3.    33:69. O ye who believe! Be not as those who slandered Moses, but Allah proved his innocence of that which they alleged, and he was well esteemed in Allah's sight.
Pickthal's Quran Translation

in short, allah compared the ishmaelite messenger with his israelite counterpart [pbuth]. he also compared followers of the former with the followers of moses.

in other words, the muslim 'believers and doers of good' were not equated with the israelite prophets.

if this was the case then who else did allah refer to in the verse 24:55?

well, here is some food for thought.

'Inna 'Ibrāhīma Kāna 'Ummatan Qānitāan Lillāhi Ĥanīfāan Wa Lam Yaku Mina Al-Mushrikīna (120).

Lo! Abraham was a nation obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolaters; [16:120, pickthall]

PLEASE NOTE THAT HZT. IMAM IBRAHIM [AS] HAD BEEN DEPICTED AS AN 'UMMAT--NATION' IN HIMSELF. meaning, every holy imam [sa] of the age is also an ' UMMAT' in himself.

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 3:113]

In verse 104 ummat means a-imma, because ummat is derived from amm (meaning) to intend, to lead, to give an example to others, or to command. In the sense of tending or intending it becomes the "way" intended to or to move on (tariq), or imam, the person intended to be followed, or mamun, the person who intends to follow-to follow certain persons or principles. The word ummat has been used in all these senses in the verses of the Quran. In verses 104 and 113 of Ali Imran and verses 128 and 143 of al Baqarah the context shows that ummat stands for an imam, who exercises authority, not for mamun.

[Pooya/Ali Commentary  16:92]

Aqa Mahdi Puya says:

The word ummat has been used here for imam as in al Baqarah: 143; Ali Imran: 104 and 110.

therefore, all references to the 'ummat--nation' in the holy qur'an quoted above should and must apply ONLY to the holy imam [sa] of the age and time -- as he is the foundation and axis of islam, regardless.

who are the witnesses between the holy prophet muhammad [sas] and mankind [2:143; 4:41; 11:17,18 [see below]; 16:84,89; 22:78 [see below]; 39:69; 40:51]?

'Afaman Kāna `Alaá Bayyinatin Min Rabbihi Wa Yatlūhu Shāhidun Minhu Wa Min Qablihi Kitābu Mūsaá 'Imāmāan Wa Raĥmatan 'Ūlā'ika Yu'uminūna Bihi Wa Man Yakfur Bihi Mina Al-'Aĥzābi Fālnnāru Maw`iduhu Falā Takun Fī Miryatin Minhu 'Innahu Al-Ĥaqqu Min Rabbika Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Yu'uminūna (17). 11:17. Is he then who has with him clear proof from his Lord, and a witness from Him recites it and before it (is) the Book of Musa, a guide and a mercy--'Imāmāan Wa Raĥmatan ? These believe in it; and whoever of the (different) parties disbelieves in it, surely it is the truth from your Lord, but most men do not believe.
Shakir's Quran Translation
Wa Man 'Ažlamu Mimman Aftaraá `Alaá Allāhi Kadhibāan 'Ūlā'ika Yu`rađūna `Alaá Rabbihim Wa Yaqūlu Al-'Ash/hādu Hā'uulā' Al-Ladhīna Kadhabū `Alaá Rabbihim 'Alā La`natu Allāhi `Alaá Až-Žālimīna (18). 11:18 Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah ? Such will be brought before their Lord, and the witnesses will say: These are they who lied concerning their Lord. Now the curse of Allah is upon wrong-doers,

11. 17:
C1513.
"Guide": the Arabic word here is Imam, a leader, a guide, one that directs to the true Path. Such a direction is an instance of the Mercy and Goodness of Allah to man. The Qur-An and the Prophet Muhammad are also called, each, a Guide and a Mercy, and so are these epithets applicable to previous Books and Prophets.
Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 11:17]

There are several traditions reported on the authority of Ahl ul Bayt, and also narrated by well-known Muslim scholars like Jalal al Din al Suyuti in Durr al Manthur, Muhammad bin Ahmad Qartabi in Tafsir Qartabi, Sayyid Hashim Bahrayni in Tafsir Burhan, Abd Ali bin Jumah Hawyazi in Tafsir Nur al Thaqalayn, Abu Ali al Tabrasi in Tafsir Majma al Bayan, Abu Ishaq al Thalabi in Tasir al Kabir, and Abu Nu-aym in Hilyatul Awliya that shahid in this verse refers to Ali ibn abi Talib, just as shahid in verse 43 of ar Rad also refers to Imam Ali.

In reply to a question Imam Ali said that in "Is he then (like unto him) who has a clear proof from his Lord, and a witness, from Him, follows him," the Holy Prophet is the divine "bayyanah" and I am the witness, guide and mercy.

Allah has declared Ali to be the Imam who alone testifies the truth about Allah and His Prophet, and like the Holy Prophet who is "mercy unto the world", he is also "mercy'! because both of them are from one and the same divine light, therefore, Ali is the only true successor of the Holy Prophet whom all the Muslims should follow if they have truly and sincerely surrendered themselves to the will of Allah.

Aqa Mahdi Puya says:

In this verse yatlu means to follow, and to translate it "to recite" is incorrect as there is no mention of anything to be recited. On the contrary a "person" has been mentioned, who is with clear evidence from his Lord. Therefore "to recite" is meaningless. It is clearly said that there is a person who has come with clear evidence from Allah and there is another who immediately follows and bears witness to the truthfulness of the first; and before him the book of Musa had borne witness.

All commentators agree that the person with the clear evidence from Allah is the Holy Prophet.

The person who follows him is next to him, none come between these two.

The Holy Prophet is the first person. His witness is the second person.

The same testimony was borne by the book of Musa before.

Both are "Imam" and "Rahmah" (also refer to Ahqaf: 12).

The witness is Ali ibn abi Talib as has been mentioned by a large number of Muslim scholars mentioned above.

His mother beareth him with reluctance, and bringeth him forth with reluctance, and the bearing of him and the weaning of him is thirty months, till, when he attaineth full strength and reacheth forty years, he saith: My Lord! Arouse me that I may give thanks for the favour wherewith Thou hast favoured me and my parents, and that I may do right acceptable unto Thee. And be gracious unto me in the matter of my seed. Lo! I have turned unto Thee repentant, and lo! I am of those who surrender (unto Thee).

this then, is the unmistakable qur'anic context, which stemmed directly from:

'Īyāka Na`budu Wa 'Īyāka Nasta`īnu (5). Thee we worship; Thee we ask for help.
Ahdinā Aş-Şirāţa Al-Mustaqīma (6). Show us the straight path,
Şirāţa Al-Ladhīna  (7). The path of those

it is therefore, clear from the above that only the rightful holy imams from the holy prophet's ahl al-baiyt--household are the true witnesses over mankind and that the holy prophet and messenger of allah [pbuth], IS THE CHIEF WITNESS over them. see 4:41; 2:143; 16:89; 24:55. this is also the 'best ummat-nation' that allah had raised for mankind.

important: please note that although the holy prophet and messenger of allah [sas] was ALSO sent to the ishmaelites as a result of hzt. imam abraham's [as] ADDITIONAL prayer [2:129];

the former DID NOT represent both offices as did his predecessor hzt. imam abraham [as] i.e., hold the holy institution of imamate and the institution of NABUWWAH /RISALAT  [2:124; 19:41]; at the same time. on the contrary, he held only the latter [33:40].

note that hzt. IMAM abraham [as] prayed on 2 separate occasions.

the holy RISALAT - messengership

2:129. "Our Lord! send amongst them
a Messenger of their own, who shall rehearse
    i.     Thy Signs to them - 'Āyātika
ii.    and instruct them in scripture
    iii.   and wisdom,
iv.   and sanctify them - Wa Yuzakkīhim
'Innaka 'Anta Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu (129).
For Thou art the Exalted in Might, the Wise."
Yusuf Ali's Quran Translation

in other words, he clearly prayed for 2-two DIFFERENT institutions on 2 separate occasions. and for all intents and purposes, the holy prophet muhammad  [sas] - represented only one of them [33:40].

WHEN AND FROM WHAT WAS THE FIRST 'NON-HUMAN' IMAM CREATED?

1.    it is reported by abu ishaq thalabi that abdullah bin salam asked the holy prophet to give the name of the man who had knowledge of the book and brought the queen of sheba with her throne within the twinkling of an eye.

the holy prophet said: "IT WAS ALI."

it is stated in minhaj al sadiqin and umdat al bayan -- [SUNNI HADITH] -- that then the holy prophet said to ALI:

"O ALI, thou had been HIDDEN -- [BATIN, navali] -- WITH ALL THE PROPHETS of allah preceding me, AND WITH ME THOU ARE MANIFEST - [ZAHIR, navali] - [M.S. U.B.] [#vr. 40. [1699], s.v. mir ahmed ALI, pp. 1157].

     [Pooya/Ali Commentary 27:20]

2.    it is reported by abu ishaq thalabi that abdullah bin salam asked the holy prophet to give the name of the man who had knowledge of the book and brought the queen of sheba with her throne within the twinkling of an eye.

the holy prophet said: "IT WAS ALI."

it is stated in minhaj al sadiqin and umdat al bayan -- [SUNNI HADITH]-- that then the holy prophet said to ALI:

"O ALI, YOU HELPED ALL THE PROPHETS of allah incognito -- [BATIN, navali] -- (concealed from view), and YOU HELP ME in propria persona - [ZAHIR, navali] - (in person) MANIFESTLY."

Ali ibn abi Talib is known as mazhar al aja-ib and mazhar al ghara-ib because, as willed by Allah, he used to appear in different forms to carry out divine plans under very special circumstances. These two epithets are exclusively reserved for Ali. Even today the true believers invoke Allah to send him for help (???*navali).

the Famous Dua, Known as Nadi Ali, Which The Holy Prophet Recited, As Commanded By Allah, At Khaybar* Refers To Ali As Mazhar Al Aja-Ib. Ali Ibn Abi Talib Is Also Known As Mushkil Kusha, The Remover Of Hardships.

In every age, to many persons he comes personally to remove hardships. Through his name great spiritual achievements are attained. The Holy Prophet, and after him, Ali are acknowledged as the most superior possessors of the spiritual powers.

and since when had this IMAM for mankind been in allah's PRESENCE?

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 7:181]

Aqa Mahdi Puya says:

Since the creation of man there had been and should always be a person, present in this world, to guide others with truth. In view of this fact the Holy Prophet has said: "Whosoever dies without recognising the Imam (guide) of his age (in order to follow his guidance) dies the death of an ignorant pagan."

important

a majority of the muslims have been led to believe that the holy prophet muhammad [sas] will intercede on their behalf on the day of judgment.  well, that maybe - but allah had set a 'different divine' criteria for that purpose.

that is, allah had created a middle nation--'Ummatan Wasaţāan' [pbuth] between mankind and the holy prophet muhammad [sas].  in other words, even the muslims have to go through this 'middle nation' [pbuth] before they can reach the holy prophet [sas].

note: allah will raise the latter against the former and NOT AGAINST THE MUSLIM UMMAH per se., as is supposed or claimed! in that sense, any 'direct intercession by him' maybe out of question altogether, save what allah will.

They were to make their houses into places of prayer (Qibla), as Pharaoh would not probably allow them to set up public places of prayer. and they were now to be only sojourners in Egypt. These were the glad tidings (the Gospel) of Islam, which was preached under Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, and completed under Muhammad.
Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans

(i) At the time of going to Tabuk, the Holy Prophet designated Ali, as his vicegerent, to take charge of the affairs in Madina, saying that Ali was to him as Harun was to Musa.

( 15) The two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) relate on the authority of Sad bin Abi Waqqas that the Holy Prophet left Ali bin Abi Talib behind him as his vicegerent during the expedition to Tabuk, and Ali said: "O Prophet of Allah, do you leave me behind, among the women and children?" He replied: "Are you not content to be to me in the relation of Harun to Musa save that there shall be no prophet after me?"

its meaning

The Holy Qur'an, Text, Translation and Commentary, by S. V. Mir Ahmed Ali

'It is reported that the objects presented to the angels were Five Lights with wonderful radiance. The angels asked the Lord as to what those wonderful Lights were and what were their names. God in reply declared to the angels pointing to a Light saying

i.     "This is Muhammad i.e., the most praised worthy, the name drawn from My name Mahmood i.e., the Praised one --
ii.     This is
Ali, the High, the name drawn from my being the Ali-ul-Ala the Highest of the High.
iii.     This is
Fatema, the Original, the name drawn from My being the Fatirus- Samawate-wal ard i.e., the Creator, the Originator of the heavens and the earth;
iv.     This is
Hassan, the Bountiful, the Virtuous, the name drawn from My being the Benefactor, the All Good,
v.     and this is
Hussain, the Good the name drawn from My being the Good in Origin."

The declaration of the Lord to the angels continued "O Angels! It is in love of these Five have I created the Universe, meaning with the object of manifesting through these Five the various aspects of the divine glory in everything of the created world has come to stay and have been endowed in the seed of Adam." [Durr-Manthur] - [pp. 92].

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 5:67]

Shibli Nu-mani in Siratun Nabi (completed by Sayyid Sulayman Nadvi) writes:

A small lake is called ghadir in Arabic, so this place is known as Ghadir Khum. There, the Holy Prophet addressed his companions and said:

Glory be to Allah. I am a human being. I may be recalled shortly and I must comply. I leave behind, among you, the two weighty things. One of them is the book of Allah wherein there is guidance and light; hold fast to the book. The other thing is my Ahl ul Bayt. I call your attention to Allah in the matter of my Ahl ul Bayt."

Pickthal's Quran Translation

6) Sūrat Al-'An`ām

Wa 'Ismā`īla Wa Al-Yasa`a Wa Yūnis Wa Lūţāan Wa Kullāan Fađđalnā `Alaá Al-`Ālamīna (86).

And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot. Each one (of them) did We prefer above (Our) creatures,

Wa Min 'Ābā'ihim Wa Dhurrīyātihim Wa 'Ikhwānihim Wa Ājtabaynāhum Wa Hadaynāhum 'Ilaá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin (87).

With some of their forefathers and their offspring and their brethren; and We chose them and guided them unto a straight path.

Dhālika Hudaá Allāhi Yahdī Bihi Man Yashā'u Min `Ibādihi  (88).

Such is the guidance of Allah wherewith He guideth whom He will of His bondmen. .

'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna 'Ātaynāhum Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥukma Wa An-Nubūwata (89).

Those are they unto whom We gave the Scripture and command and prophethood.

'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Hadaá Allāhu Fabihudāhum Aqtadihi Qul Lā 'As'alukum `Alayhi 'Ajrāan 'In Huwa 'Illā Dhikraá Lil`ālamīna (90).

Those are they whom Allah guideth, so follow their guidance. Say : I ask of you no fee for it. Lo! it is naught but a Reminder to (His) creatures.

in addition to what we have seen thus far, this is an unequivocal depiction of 'hereditary guidance in islam.' see also 3:33,34; 37:103-114; 43:26-28.

in other words, as long as the muslims recite surah al-fatihah in their daily salat, they will need to follow the holy imam's [sa] guidance at the same time.

1: 6. Show us the straight path
1: 7. The path of those .....
:
(6:87) With some of their forefathers
and their offspring
and their brethren;
and We chose them
and guided them unto a straight path.

(6:90)  Those are they whom Allah guideth, so follow their guidance

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 5:67]

Shibli Nu-mani in Siratun Nabi (completed by Sayyid Sulayman Nadvi) writes:

While returning from Makka to Madina, after the last hajj, along with his companions, the Holy Prophet broke the journey at a lake, 3 miles away from Juhfa.

He repeated the last sentence thrice. This tradition is mentioned in Sahih Muslim. Nisa-i, Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Tirmidhi, Tibrani, Tabari, and Hakim have mentioned the following words also:

"Man kuntu mawlahu fa Aliyyun mawlahu

Allahumma wali man walahu wa adi man adahu"

(The English version of Shibli's Urdu translation of the above is given below):

"Of whomsoever I am the beloved Ali is his beloved. O Allah love him who loves Ali and be hostile to him who shows hostility to Ali."

(Siratun Nabi p. 165, 166; printed in 1352 Hijra at Mu-arif press, Azam Gad). Shah Abdul Haq Muhaddith Dehalvi has mentioned this tradition in Madarijun Nabuwwah: "While addressing his companions at Ghadir Khum, the Holy Prophet said: 'Do you not know that I am nearer to the faithful than they are themselves?"

The Quran also says that the prophet is nearer to the faithful than they are themselves (Ahzab 6).

'Yes, you are,' replied all of them. According to another tradition the Holy Prophet continued: 'I have been recalled and I must comply. I am leaving behind, among you, two things, each of which is better than the other, the Quran and the Ahl ul Bayt. Be careful how you deal with them and discharge your obligation unto each of them. They shall never be separated from each other till they reach me at Kawthar. Allah is my Mawla and I am the mawla of all the faithful. (Then he took the hand of Ali in his hand and said:) O my Allah! of whomsoever I am mawla Ali is his mawla. O my Allah! Love him who loves Ali and be hostile to him who is hostile to Ali. O my Allah! Help him who helps Ali and forsake him who forsakes Ali; and turn truth to whichever side Ali turns.

It is related that, after this address, Umar came to Ali and said: 'Greetings be to you O son of Abu Talib! Now you are the mawla of all the believing men and believing women.'

zohurul hoque

corruption

playing mind games with 'allah's revelations' and the 'holy qur'an'

in view of the fact that zohurul hoque had printed his verbose notes in very tiny-small prints - scattered all over like Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces,  i guess it would be wise to piece together the same in order to decipher his hidden agenda  and the overall picture.

please read and review the following in 'this new light' because insha'allaah that will also demonstrate the true nature and character as well, the ultimate objective of the individual we are dealing with presently.

if and when possible, read between the lines -- because that is precisely wherein lies his hidden and  mystifying claim to the multifaceted institution of islam. he is rarely candid about it and more importantly, hardly ever reveals his full and complete thought on a given subject in any one place.

and although he may sound like a very sleek and knowledgeable professor, let not his deific double-talk and double standard fool you for a sec. unfortunately, like most western and westernized scholars, he likes to play mind games with allah's revelations and the holy qur'an.

PERSONAL   ISLAM

[emphasis added, navali]

please review the above solemnly and ask yourself, did allah leave out anything at all from the 'religion of islam' before the holy prophet's [sas] 23-year old mission culminated and also came to a close with the above proclamation?

zohurul hoque: note#5:3 and have accepted for you ISLAM .. [] .. as the religion [so no new creed will be revealed hence forth, and no new nabi is needed after muhammad, who is thus the last nabi, 33:40]. therefore [as the qur'an contains guidance on all matters of human requirements, both spiritual and physical, ...] [pp. 175]

zohurul hoque: note#2:253 ['yet muhammad OCCUPIES the highest position in the cadre of rasuls as he is given the complete and perfect religion, 5:3'] - [pp. 72]. see full text below.

let him alone, no human being on the face of this earth would ever use this kind of  favorable language if islam was still wanting somehow.

despite the above unequivocal assertion and conviction, WHY did it still become necessary for this faithful muslim to take upon himself the task of CORRUPTING the holy qur'an from the inside out?
