The Aga Khan: "I am amazed by the ignorance of Islam".

His Highness, the Aga Khan, is the 49th direct descendant of Mohammad, through Ali, his cousin who married Fatima, the Prophet's daughter.
The leader is the 49th descendant of Mohammad, one of the principal spiritual leaders of Muslim Shi'ites:
"I think that monotheistic religions, having an analogous BELIEF IN AN ONLY GOD, should and must dialogue. The three religions which Abraham inspired have many more common facets than those which divide them.

'Inna Rabbī Laghafūrun Raĥīmun(Hud: 41) 011.041

Lo! my Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.=

THE NAME of Allah hath been mentioned,
=question
1. if the prophet noah [as] exhorted his people to embark, 'In THE NAME of Allah -- 'Bismi Allāhi' ;
2. if the prophet solomon [as] began his 'honorable letter - kitabun kariim' - with 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim' - (An-Naml: 27:29,30) [see details below];
3. and above all, if allah himself exhorted the holy prophet [sas] and the believers to, 'Eat of that over which THE NAME of Allah hath been mentioned';HOW MUCH MORE IMPORTANT is it for muslims to begin surah al-fatihah and their daily salat- -prayer with 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim' -- IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, RAHMAN, RAHIM'?
importantnoah concluded his exhortation with, 'Inna Rabbī Laghafūrun Raĥīmun -- Lo! my Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.'
what does it mean?
is it possible that 'ALLAH'S FORGIVENESS AND MERCY' is directly linked to 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim' ?
if so, what kind of 'FORGIVENESS AND MERCY' could some of the muslims ever hope for AFTER they had knowingly violated and adulterated surah al-fatihah vis-ŕ-vis the great qur'an and their daily salat-prayer by dropping 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim' therefrom? and also by abandoning the 'noah's ark -- the holy imamate' in this day and age?
on the other hand, have they closed the DOOR of 'allah's FORGIVENESS AND MERCY' upon themselves by doing so and/or by following the saudi wahhabi royals and the likes of zohurul hoque?33:67. And they say: Our Lord! Lo! we obeyed our princes and great men, and they misled us from the Way. 37:32. So we led you astray, for we ourselves were erring. 37:33. So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 37:34. Surely thus do We deal with the guilty.
please note that allah _P_R_O_M_I_S_E_D_ to replace the abrogated Āyat (آية) - with 'something better or similar.' in other words, he would NEVER leave a void in its place.

Pickthal's Quran Translation2.106:
C107. The word which I have translated by the word "revelations" is Ayat. See C.41 and n. 15. It is not only used for verses of the Quran, but in a general sense for God's revelations, as in ii. 39 and for other Signs of God in history or nature, or miracles, as in ii. 61. It has even been used for human signs and tokens of wonder, as, for example, monuments or landmarks built by the ancient people of AD (xxvi. 128).
Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTransi. Second, the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, "When you recite ‘al-Hamdu li Llah,’ recite ‘Bismi Llahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim,’ for it is the Sum of the Qur’an (Umm al-Qur’an), and the Compriser of the Scripture (Umm al-Kitab), and the Seven Oft-Repeated [Verses] (al-Sab‘ al-Mathani)—and ‘Bismi Llahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim’ is one of its verses" (Bayhaqi, 2.45; and Daraqutni, 1.312),
ii. 15. Each verse of the Sūra is called an Āyat (آية) (plural. Āyāt (آيات)), which means also a sign. A verse of revelation is a Sign of God's wisdom and goodness The Āyat is the true unit of the Qur·ān. [Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans]
iii. 16. Fātiĥa (فاتحة)= Opening Chapter. [Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans]
iv. 17. These seven verses form a complete unit by themselves, and are recited in every prayer and on many other occasions. Cf. xv. 87. [Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans]
v. 18. by universal consent it is RIGHTLY PLACED at the beginning of the qu’ran [Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans]
vi.
BISMILLAHIR-RAHMANIR-RAHIM, as the first verse, is the part and parcel of al Fatihah
=
as can be seen, the holy qur'an, ahadith and the sunni/shia interpretations thereof -- are all in accord and very clear in their overall purport with regards to the tremendous importance of surah al-fatihah vis-ŕ-vis the great qur'an.
note: 'and ‘Bismi Llahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim’ is one of its verses -- it is an 'Āyat.' and 'The Āyat is the true unit of the Qur·ān.' by allah's infinite grace and mercy, i have proved this before on the strength of HQ: 15:86,87 & 27:1,30. please click on the link for details.
now, what happens when that very, 'true unit of the qur'an' is violated and broken WITHOUT any divine authority whatsoever?
how could anyone thereafter, still claim that he is practicing the 'same islam' as was originally revealed to, preached and practiced by our beloved holy prophet muhammad [sas]? and/or is also following the same divinely protected and unadulterated holy qur'an that was revealed to him? and the list goes on.
2:79. Woe, then, to those who write the book with their hands and then say: This is from Allah, so that they may take for it a small price; therefore woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn.

QUESTION
and more importantly, with what did zohurul hoque 'REPLACE' his unexplained or mysterious abrogation?
i. is zohurul hoque the 'new undeclared prophet and messenger' of the new millennium?
ii. on what PARTICULAR basis or divine authority did he abrogate the holy qur'an?
iii. did he replace his otherwise 'unauthorized abrogation' with 'something better or similar' ;
iv. as would have allah, if that had been the case? see HQ. 2:106 & 16:101 quoted above.
-
v. failing which, did he override allah's authority in every sense of the word?
vi. did he override the holy prophet's [sas] authority as well?allow me to explain the aforesaid only in the words of the holy qur'an, if i may.
Wa 'Idhā Tutlaá `Alayhim 'Āyātunā Bayyinātin Qāla Al-Ladhīna Lā Yarjūna Liqā'anā A'ti Biqur'ānin Ghayri Hādhā 'Aw Baddilhu Qul Mā Yakūnu Lī 'An 'Ubaddilahu Min Tilqā'i Nafsī 'In 'Attabi`u 'Illā Mā Yūĥaá 'Ilayya 'Innī 'Akhāfu 'In `Aşaytu Rabbī `Adhāba Yawmin `Ažīmin (Yunis: 15) --
10:15. And when OUR MANIFEST PROOFS are recited unto them, they who look not for the meeting with Us say : Bring a QUR'AN other than this, or change it. Say (O Muhammad): It is not for me to change it of myself. I only follow that which is inspired in me. Lo! if I disobey my Lord I fear the retribution of an awful Day.
=
note how many fundamental issues, all of them of highly SPIRITUAL nature and significance had to be addressed first before the messenger of allah [sas] could accede to their demands.
the divine order as listed by allah
a. 'And when OUR MANIFEST PROOFS are recited' ;
b. 'meeting with Us' ;
c. 'Bring a QUR'AN other than this' ;
d. 'or change it' ;do you understand the meaning and significance of the aforesaid? think about it seriously, as every aspect of the true islam resonates on it.
that said, the holy prophet and messenger of allah [sas] had NO control over any of the above issues and most certainly, HE HAD NO AUTHORITY to replace the holy qur'an itself. in other words, even his personal and spiritual ambitions if he had any, could not override allah's authority in any way, shape or form.
e. 'It is not for me to change it of myself--Nafsī.'
this episode shows how serious this matter really was at the time and frankly, nothing had changed since.
however, there is another fundamental issue here which may have been overlooked by zohurul hoque. for all practical purposes, this man had also denied the biblical prophecies and thereby, the prophethood of our beloved holy prophet [sas]. this is despite the fact that he had repeatedly shown and claimed in his publication that some of the following prophecies were fulfilled in the holy prophet [sas].
DENIED: the bible
'my words which he shall speak in my name'
Deuteronomy 18 17 And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken. 18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
'open the book & the seven seals'
Revelation 5:1-5 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
Isaiah 29:12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.Isaiah 28:10 (ASV) For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little. Isaiah 28:13 (ASV) Therefore shall the WORD OF JEHOVAH be unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, LINE UPON LINE; HERE A LITTLE, there a little; that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
=DENIED: the holy qur'an
A. HQ. 73:15 SHAKIR: Surely We have sent to you a Messenger, a witness against you, as We sent a messenger to Firon.
B. 15:86. Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 15:87. We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) "_A_N_D_" the great Qur'an.C. zohurul hoque Surah Fatihah, as the name indicates, is the Opening Chapter of the Holy Qur-an. The "Opt repeated seven verses" (15:87) of this chapter are recited many times everyday during the Salat or daily Prayers. This chapter is also called Umm al-Kitab or the Gist of the Book, that means, it contains the sum and substance of the Holy Qur-an
E. 96:1. Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-F. 17:106. And it is a Quran which We have revealed in portions so that you may read it to the people by slow degrees, and We have revealed it, revealing in portions.
Shakir's Quran TranslationG. 21:107. We sent thee not save as a mercy un to the worlds -- 107. Wama arsalnaka illa rahmatan lilAAalameena.
H. 11:17. Is he then who has with him MANIFEST PROOF from his Lord, and a WITNESS FROM HIM recites it and before it (is) the Book of Musa, a guide and a mercy? -- 'Afaman Kāna `Alaá Bayyinatin Min Rabbihi Wa Yatlūhu Shāhidun Minhu Wa Min Qablihi Kitābu Mūsaá 'Imāmāan Wa Raĥmatan.
[Pooya/Ali Commentary 4:70]
The "Imaman wa rahmatan (guide and mercy)" and "the witness between the Holy Prophet and the people is he who has the knowledge of the book" is Imam Ali (see commentary of al-Hud : 17 and al-Rad 43 for authentic references).
[Pooya/Ali Commentary 11:17]
There are several traditions reported on the authority of Ahl ul Bayt, and also narrated by well-known Muslim scholars like Jalal al Din al Suyuti in Durr al Manthur, Muhammad bin Ahmad Qartabi in Tafsir Qartabi, Sayyid Hashim Bahrayni in Tafsir Burhan, Abd Ali bin Jumah Hawyazi in Tafsir Nur al Thaqalayn, Abu Ali al Tabrasi in Tafsir Majma al Bayan, Abu Ishaq al Thalabi in Tasir al Kabir, and Abu Nu-aym in Hilyatul Awliya that shahid in this verse refers to Ali ibn abi Talib, just as shahid in verse 43 of ar Rad also refers to Imam Ali.
In reply to a question Imam Ali said that in "Is he then (like unto him) who has a clear proof from his Lord, and a witness, from Him, follows him," the Holy Prophet is the divine "bayyanah" and I am the witness, guide and mercy.
Allah has declared Ali to be the Imam who alone testifies the truth about Allah and His Prophet, and like the Holy Prophet who is "mercy unto the world", he is also "mercy'? because both of them are from one and the same divine light

11. 17:
C1512. "A witness from Himself': i.e., the Book which was given to Al-Mustafa, the Holy Qur-An, which is compared to the original Revelation given to Moses. We make no difference between one true and genuine Message and another, nor between one apostle and another,-for they all come from the One True God.
C1513. "Guide": the Arabic word here is Imam, a leader, a guide, one that directs to the true Path. Such a direction is an instance of the Mercy and Goodness of Allah to man. The Qur-An and the Prophet Muhammad are also called, each, a Guide and a Mercy, and so are these epithets applicable to previous Books and Prophets.

=note: all of the above named 'rahmats-mercies' have descended directly from RAHMAN. in other words, they were his manifestations in different forms.
please remember that only 'he is high above all else'. he is the universal 'SOUL OF MERCY- NAFSI - HIR - RAHMAH.' see i. & j. above.
in short, if and when you drop or remove the opening verse namely, 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim' from your daily salat and the holy qur'an WITHOUT ANY DIVINE AUTHORITY, ONLY you have FORSAKEN:
i. the holy prophet muhammad [sas] ;
ii. and his mission namely;
iii. the true islam;
iv. and the holy qur'an;
v. as well, DEPRIVED yourself of the DIVINE
'MERCY- RAHMAH' in all its forms.vi. and above all, you have DENIED RAHMAN, the CREATOR, SOUL AND RUH--SPIRIT of and in your very human being and existence thereof.
=
on the other hand, please note that zohurul hoque had surpassed this DIVINE AUTHORITY in every sense of the term. hence, what does that make him?
the following section is very, very important indeed. it cannot be emphasized more strongly.
the gravity of this matter speaks for itself. and moreover, it concerns each and every muslim brethren, regardless of his sect and creed. so, please don't take it lightly. rather, follow it with some intelligence and rationale.
Sūra XCVI ( اقرا ، العلق )
Iqraa or Read (or Proclaim) , `Alaq or the Clot of Congealed Blood
SECTION 1. (96:1-19)
C. 276.-
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

aqraa bismi rabbika allažī ķhalaqa
1.
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-
6203. lqraa may mean "read", or "recite or rehearse", or "proclaim aloud", the object understood being Allah's Message.
6204. The declaration or proclamation was to be in the name of Allah the Creator. It was not for any personal benefit to the Prophet:
خَلَقَ الإِنسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ
ķhalaqa al·insāna min `alaqin
2.
Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood:
اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الأَكْرَمُ
aqraa warabbuka al·akramu
3.
Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-
الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ
allažī `allama bilqalami
4.
He Who taught (the use of) the pen,-
6206. See n. 5593 to lxviii. 1. The Arabic words for "teach" and "knowledge" are from the same root.
عَلَّمَ الإِنسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ
`allama al·insāna ma lam ya`lam
5.
Taught man that which he knew not.
6207. Allah teaches us new knowledge at every given moment.
كَلاَّ إِنَّ الإِنسَانَ لَيَطْغَى
kalla inna al·insāna layaţĝha
6.
Day, but man doth transgress all bounds,
6208. All our knowledge and capacities come as gifts from Allah. But man, in his inordinate vanity and insolence, mistakes Allah's gifts for his own achievements.
please note that the CREATOR/TEACHER'S NAME, SIGNATURE and the UNIVERSAL INTELLECT:-
i. an 'all in one' concept, is directly associated with his creation.
ii. in the like manner, his name and signature is associated with his messenger [sas].
iii. the holy prophet muhammad's [sas] mission began with that profound reminder to all mankind.therefore, what was the PRIMARY objective of islam's revelation?
it was to recognize your creator in this life.
7:172. And when your Lord brought forth from the children of Adam, from their backs, their descendants, and made them bear witness against their own souls: Am I not your Lord? They said: Yes! we bear witness. Lest you should say on the day of resurrection: Surely we were heedless of this. 7:173. Or you should say: Only our fathers associated others (with Allah) before, and we were an offspring after them: Wilt Thou then destroy us for what the vain doers did? Shakir's Quran Translation
it was to recognize HIS DIVINE NAME in this life.
17:110. Say: "Call upon Allah,
or call upon Rahman:
by whatever name ye call upon Him,
(it is well): for to Him belong
the Most Beautiful Names.
Neither speak thy Prayer--SALAT...
Yusuf Ali's Quran Translation
it was to recognize his revelations in this life.
28:85. Verily He Who ordained the Qur'an for thee, will bring thee back to the Place of Return. Say: "My Lord knows best who it is that brings true guidance, and who is in manifest--MUBIIN -- error." 28:86. And thou hadst not expected that the Book would be sent to thee except as a Mercy from thy Lord: Therefore lend not thou support in any way to those who reject (Allah's Message). 28:87. And let nothing keep thee back from the Signs of Allah -- [AAYAATILLAAHI -- revelations of ALLAH, navali], after they have been revealed to thee: and invite (men) to thy Lord, and be not of the company of those who join gods with Allah. 28:88. And call not, besides Allah, on another god. There is no god but He. Everything (that exists) will perish except His own Face -- WAJHAH. To Him belongs the Command, and to Him will ye (all) be brought back.

despite allah's countless blessings on him, the ignorant and lowly man - the 'creature made of clay' and 'female menstruation' combined has had the audacity to revolt against allah, his creator. and although, his rebellion had taken many different forms since time immemorial - rest assured, none can or will ever surpass his intrinsic 'ingratitude' towards allah.

ahadith on 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim' & 'surah fatihah'
723) Narrated 'Ubada bin As-Samit: Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever does not recite Al-Fatiha in his prayer, his prayer is invalid."
528) Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Mu'alla:
He then said, "Shall I not teach you the most superior Surah in the Qur'an?" He said, "(It is), 'Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. ' (i.e., Surat Al-Fatiha) which consists of seven repeatedly recited Verses and the Magnificent Qur'an which was given to me."
226) Narrated Abu Said Al-Mualla:
Then he added, "Shall I tell you the most superior Sura in the Qur'an before I go out of the mosque?" When the Prophet intended to go out (of the Mosque), I reminded him and he said, "That is: 'Alhamdu-lillahi Rabbil-'Alamin (Surat-al-fatiha)' which is the seven oft-repeated verses (Al-Mathani) and the Grand Qur'an which has been given to me."
227) Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "The Um (substance) of the Qur'an is the seven oft-repeated verses (Al-Mathani) and is the Great Quran (i.e. Surat-al-Fatiha)."
419) Narrated Talha bin 'Abdullah bin 'Auf:
I offered the funeral prayer behind Ibn Abbas and he recited Al-Fatiha and said, "You should know that it (i.e. recitation of Al-Fatiha) is the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad."
Zohurul Hoque: and truly we have GIVEN YOU SEVEN OF REPEATED [Ayats of surah fatihah. 1:1-7. which is recited more often than any other surah, AS IN EVERY SALAT] and [which is equivalent to] THE GRAND QURAN [because this garland of seven pearls contains the essence of the entire qur'an Bu 65:1' [pp. 439.]

Why the Shaafis Recite the Basmalah Aloud In the Salat
that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, "There is no prayer for whoever does not recite the Fatiha" (Bukhari, 1.192). That the Basmala is the Fatiha’s first verse is shown by several facts:
First, the Sahaba affirmed nothing in the collation of the Qur’an (mushaf) of ‘Uthman’s time except what was Qur’an, and they unanimously placed the Basmala at the beginning of every sura except surat al-Tawba.
Second, the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, "When you recite ‘al-Hamdu li Llah,’ recite ‘Bismi Llahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim,’ for it is the Sum of the Qur’an (Umm al-Qur’an), and the Compriser of the Scripture (Umm al-Kitab), and the Seven Oft-Repeated [Verses] (al-Sab‘ al-Mathani)—and ‘Bismi Llahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim’ is one of its verses" (Bayhaqi, 2.45; and Daraqutni, 1.312), a hadith related with a rigorously authenticated (sahih) channel of transmission to the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), and through another chain to Abu Hurayra alone (Allah be well pleased with him).
Third, Umm Salama relates: "The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to recite: ‘Bismi Llahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. al-Hamdu li Llahi Rabbi l-‘Alamin,’ separating each phrase"; a hadith which Hakim said was rigorously authenticated (sahih) according to the conditions of Bukhari and Muslim, which Imam Dhahabi corroborated (al-Mustadrak, 1.232). Daraqutni also relates from Umm Salama that "the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) when he used to recite the Qur’an would pause in his recital verse by verse: ‘Bismi Llahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim: al-Hamdu li Llahi Rabbi l-‘Alamin: ar-Rahmani r-Rahim: Maliki yawmi d-din.’" Daraqutni said, "Its ascription is rigorously authenticated (sahih); all of its narrators are reliable" (Daraqutni, 1.312–13). These hadiths show that the Basmala was recited aloud by the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) as part of the Fatiha.

Al-Fātiĥa 1 or the Opening Chapter 18

bismi allāhi arraĥmani arraĥīmi
1. In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
=
18. by universal consent it is RIGHTLY PLACED at the beginning of the qu’ran, as summing up, in marvellously terse and comprehensive words, man’s relation to allah in contemplation and prayers.
15. Each verse of the Sūra is called an Āyat (آية) (plural. Āyāt (آيات)), which means also a sign. A verse of revelation is a Sign of God's wisdom and goodness just as much as God s beautiful handiwork in the material creation or His dealings in history are signs to us, if we would understand. Some Āyats are long, and some are short. The Āyat is the true unit of the Qur·ān.
16. Fātiĥa (فاتحة)= Opening Chapter.
17. These seven verses form a complete unit by themselves, and are recited in every prayer and on many other occasions. Cf. xv. 87.
Prayer is the heart of Religion and Faith
C. 42.- First comes that beautiful Sūra, The Opening Chapter of Seven verses, Rightly called the Essence of the Book. It teaches us the perfect Prayer.
19. To make us contemplate these boundless gifts of God, the formula: "In the name of God Most Gracious, Most Merciful": IS PLACED BEFORE EVERY SŪRA OF THE QUR·ĀN (except the ninth), and repeated at the beginning of every act by the Muslim who dedicates his life to God, and whose hope is in His Mercy.

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 1:1]
BISMILLAHIR-RAHMANIR-RAHIM, as the first verse, is the part and parcel of al
Fatihah.
Aqa Mahdi Puya says:
The Holy Prophet said:
LA SALATA ILLA BIFATIHATUL KITAB WA BISMILLAHIR RAHMANIR RAHIM MIN AYATIHA
There is no prayer (salat) without al Fatihah, and bismillahir rahmanir rahim is one of its verses. The Ahl ul Bayt (the thoroughly purified members of the family of the Holy Prophet), and the scholars, who follow their teachings, time and again, had verified this saying of the Holy Prophet. So according to Muhammad and ali Muhammad bismillahir rahmanir rahim is a verse by itself, which, if not recited as a part of al Fatihah, the prayer is rendered null and void. It is not only the component of al Fatihah but also of every surah except al Bara-at.
=
It is narrated from Hadrat Amir-ul-Mu'mineen Ali (a.s.) that :
" All secrets of Allah are in Divine Books; and the contents of all those Divine Books are comprised in the Qur'an;and what is found in the Qur'an is condensed in Sura Al-Fatihah, and what is in Al-Fatihah is gathered in /bismillah /, and what is in / bismillah / is concentrated in /b/, (the first letter of ' Bism-il-lah ' )..." Names of this Chapter and their Significance
The chapter has been called by quite a number of names, out of which the following ten are more authentic. These are: Al-Fatiha, Al-Sa1at, A1-hamd, Umm al-Qur'an, Al-Qur'an al 'azim, Al-Sab' al-Mathani, Umm al-Kitab, A1-Shifa, Al-Ruqya and Al-Kanz.
These names throw a flood of light upon the extensive import of the chapter.
Al-Salat (the Prayer) signifies that the chapter forms a perfect prayer and is an integral part of the institutional Prayers of Islam.
Al-Sab' al-Mathani (the Oft-repeated Seven Verses) signifies that the seven short verses of the chapter virtually answer all the spiritual needs of man. It also signifies that the chapter must be repeated in every rak'at of Prayer.
=Chapter 1: Fatihah
1. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful
2. All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds,
3. The Gracious, the Merciful,=
however, when you [Zohurul Hoque] willfully REMOVE this qur'anic foundation from its allocated place in allah's revelation and creation as well, the qur'anic context WITHOUT ANY DIVINE AUTHORITY, you have nothing else to stand on, regardless.
allow me to explain it further, if i may.
- BECAUSE this is AN OUTRIGHT VIOLATION of allah's revelations,
- the holy qur'an and islam.
- it is the VIOLATION of the holy prophet's [sas] teachings.
- this VIOLATION goes against the very core of the TRUE ISLAM
- as revealed in the holy qur'an only.
- it is a VIOLATION of your own personal faith and practice of ISLAM.

in short, if and when you drop or remove the opening verse namely, 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim' from the holy qur'an WITHOUT ANY DIVINE AUTHORITY, ONLY YOU have VIOLATED your trust and severed all ties with ALLAH, RAHMAN, RAHIIM, who is your RABB, the GOD.
after the said violation, how could you still 'serve or worship' him and/or even call upon him to help or defend you?
in order to understand the rationale behind this stupendous question, please review each of the following verses with some FAITH and intelligence, as exhorted in the holy qur'an.
IMPORTANCE of the 'NAME of allah' in the holy qur'an.
CONDITION: 'IF' ye are believers
006.118 Eat of that over which
THE NAME of Allah hath been mentioned,
'IF' ye are believers in
His revelations -- BI- AAYAATIHII.[Zohurul Hoque: 'his messages,' pp. 233]
=
NOTE ALLAH'S ABSOLUTE CONDITION:
uttering the 'NAME' of allah' before taking your food -- maybe constituted as an act of worship, that is only, 'IF ye are believers in His revelations -- BI-AAYAATIHII.
=
please note that allah did not say, 'if you are believers in 'his messages --risalatahu'- as is often misconstrued and mistranslated by zohurul hoque. see pp. 234-5. on the contrary, allah himself had made a very clear and unambiguous distinction between the two qur'anic 'words'.
CORRECT TRANSLATION
by Zohurul Hoque'āyatun - a SIGN' - & - 'risalatahu -- His message'
6:124 : wa·iža jā·athum ·āyatun qalū lan nu·mina ĥatta nu·ta miŧhla ma ūtiya rusulu allāhi allāhu a`lamu ĥaīŧhu yaj`alu risalatahu
Zohurul Hoque: 6:125 And when a SIGN comes to them, they say: We shall never believe until we are given the like of what has been given to the rasuls of Allah. Allah knoweth best where to place His message [pp. 234-5].
=
in short, if and when you drop or remove the opening verse namely, 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim' from your daily salat and the holy qur'an WITHOUT ANY DIVINE AUTHORITY, your very consumption of food and, utterance of the holy verse over your food or before its consumption, may be constituted as an act of defiance and transgression per se. you don't have to be an attorney at law or a law student to know this simple QUR'ANIC LAW and its consequences, if violated.
PRAY TO ALLAH OR PRAY TO RAHMAN
17:110. qul ad`u allaha au ad`u arrahmana -- Say: "Call upon Allah, or call upon Rahman:
by whatever name ye call upon Him,
(it is well): for to Him belong
the Most Beautiful Names.
Neither speak thy Prayer--SALAT
Yusuf Ali's Quran Translation
=important
you can't pray to one and ignore the other.
moreover, not only are you not praying to either one of them;
but also you are NOT even praying -
'WITH/IN THE NAME OF ALLAH' -- as in
'BISMILLAAH.'
remember, you have dropped it already.
therefore, how could you perform your daily salat without addressing it DIRECTLY TO:
'ALLAH,
RAHMAN,
RAHIIM'
through surah al-fatihah?
now let's look at another very important surah in this regards.
YASIN 036.001,5 YASIN .... Tanzeela alAAazeezi alrraheemi
YUSUFALI: It is a Revelation sent down by (Him), the Exalted in Might, Most
Merciful.
PICKTHAL: A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful,
SHAKIR: A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful.meaning: YASIN [sa] is a 'REVELATION OF aziizir RAHIIM,' in the same way as Muhammad [sas] was the 'revelation of Rahman' -- as in, 'rahmatan lilAAalameena'.
please note that the preceding two verses are re: YASIN ONLY. and when read with verses 1 & 2 combined, it changes the whole CONTEXT AND CONNOTATION of allah's revelation of this surah, as explained often in the past by me.
in short, if and when you drop or remove the opening verse namely, 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim' from your daily salat and the holy qur'an WITHOUT ANY DIVINE AUTHORITY, ONLY you have FORSAKEN 'YASIN & RAHIIM' simultaneously, no two ways about it.
therefore, how could you acknowledge or call upon either :
[zh#] 1:(?) allah?
[zh#] 1:2 rahman?
[zh#] 1:2 or rahim?
after dropping:
'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim'?

PRELUDE*Surah Fatihah, as the name indicates, is the Opening Chapter of the Holy Qur-an. The "Opt repeated seven verses" (15:87) of this chapter are recited many times everyday during the Salat or daily Prayers. Shakir's Quran Translation=
in short, if and when you drop or remove the opening verse namely, 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim' from your daily salat and the holy qur'an WITHOUT ANY DIVINE AUTHORITY, ONLY you have invalidated your salat-prayer.
RAHMAN is my RABB, the god
zohurul hoque
67:29. Say: ''He is the RAHMAN -- we believe in Him and upon Him do we rely. so you will soon know who is he -- in MANIFEST -- MUBIIN straying.'' [pp. 1004]
zohurul hoque
25:60. And when it is said to them: 'perform SAJDAH (i.e., prostrate) to the RAHMAN', they say: 'and who is the RAHMAN? shall we perform sajdah to whosoever you order us?' And this increases them in aversion. [pp. 621]
zohurul hoque
13:30. ... yet they disbelieve in the RAHMAN.
YOU Say: 'He is my RABB, there is no deity but HIM;
upon HIM do I rely, and TOWARDS HIM is my return.' [pp. 413][emphasis added, navali]
=note that according to the holy qur'an ONLY, 'RAHMAN' is the LORD god besides whom there is no deity save him. in other words, rahman is NOT an attribute of god as often misconstrued by the muslim scholars, etc.
rather, it is a proper name of the god. it is NOTHING less than 'ALLAH' and vice versa. moreover, allah himself had equated both names and commanded you to call upon HIM BY _E_I_T_H_E_R_ _O_N_E_ OF THEM during your SALAT--PRAYER! nothing could be more clearer.
therefore, there is no such thing as 'worship ALLAH ALONE' in islam, as claimed by you one too many times in your publication.
zohurul hoque: Allah, by disclosing His identity to man, was so kind as to teach him that man should worship Him alone.
--
however, allah teaches you how to pray in islam:
i. 'Īyāka Na`budu Wa 'Īyāka Nasta`īnu (Al-Fatihah: 5) Ahdinā Aş-Şirāţa Al-Mustaqīma (Al-Fatihah: 6) Şirāţa Al-Ladhīna ... (Al-Fatihah: 7) -- 1: 5. Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help. 1: 6. Keep us on the right path. 1: 7. The path of those ......
Shakir's Quran Translation1: 5. Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek. 1: 6. Show us the straight way, 1: 7. The path of those .....
Pickthal's Quran Translation=
note: as you can see, nowhere in this surah are we taught to pray to allah alone.
ONLY YOU among a few others, have adulterated your own translation by inserting the word 'alone' TWICE in one sentence. more often than not, you have allowed your personal faith and zeal to prevail over the divine facts. your overall translation of the holy qur'an had been subjected to the same 'faith and fate.' and, that indeed is very admirable because faith power works wonders.
4 You alone(?, navali) we do serve, and to You alone(?, navali) we beseech for help.
anyhow, we find the said adulteration in spite of your presumptuous claim to the contrary. allow me to quote you again, if i may.
Very accurate translation - very loyal to actual Arabic verses. No 'extra' word introduced suggesting these are equivalent of 'revealed' text. No Arabic word omitted from translation.
=
note that nowhere in the 'Umm al-Kitab* or the Gist of the Book' [Zohurul Hoque], did allah say even once that 'SIRATAAL MUSTAQIIM --the right path,' was 'his path or 'the path of allah' -- simply nowhere.
it ONLY says, it is, 'SIRATAL-LADHINA -- the path of those.' please prove it if you believe otherwise.
'Umm al-Kitab'*
although the surah under discussion, contains the sum and substance of the holy qur'an, the qur'anic/hadithic word 'umm - mother' sounds much better because it has that 'DIVINE TOUCH' to it -- which, for all practical purposes, is lost in the interpretation, 'Gist of the Book'.
i. for example, would you call your mother -- 'my gist' ;
and/or the 'gist of her family' or children?
ii. would you tell someone that she is 'my gist' meaning this is 'my mother'?
iii. how would your very supportive wife viz., safia khanam [preface x],
iv. react if her child/children addressed her as 'my/our gist' instead of 'my/our mother'? [see Zohurul Hoque : 'Umm -- mother' & 'Umm al-Kitab' -- 'mother of the book' - HQ. 43:4' pp. 227, 851.]my point being: if you cannot 'PROSTRATE--SAJDAH' to the holy qur'an [HQ. 84:21] please accord the same kind of respect to it as well, if you do not mind.
2:200. And when ye have completed your devotions, then remember Allah as ye remember your fathers or with a more lively remembrance. But of mankind is he who saith: "Our Lord! Give unto us in the world," and he hath no portion in the Hereafter. 6:20. Those whom We have given the Book recognize him as they recognize their sons; (as for) those who have lost their souls, they will not believe.
Shakir's Quran Translation=
now, who were they whom allah had 'exalted unto himself' and also 'joined in his worship,' as per surah al-fatihah only?
Bi'āyātinā -- Our revelations-- & Şirāţin Mustaqīmin - a straight path
Wa Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi'āyātinā Şummun Wa Bukmun Fī Až-Žulumāti Man Yasha' Allāhu Yuđlilhu Wa Man Yasha' Yaj`alhu `Alaá Şirāţin Mustaqīmin (Al-'An`am: 39) -- 6:39. Those who deny Our revelations-- are deaf and dumb in darkness. Whom Allah will sendeth astray, and whom He will He placeth on a straight path. Pickthal's Quran Translation
in short, when you come this far in surah al-fatihah and let ONLY ALLAH GUIDE YOU -- you will insha'allaah spontaneously, allow your 'SOUL -- NAFS' to embark on a new spiritual journey and/or to enter into a different realm of spiritual reality altogether, where personal faith and fanaticism has NO room at all. if you are to make any SPIRITUAL PROGRESS here then that extra baggage has to go long before you perform your daily salat--prayer.
at this point in surah al-fatihah, your islam should turn into 'IMAN--FAITH' where ONLY the will of allah COUNTS and not yours. see HQ. 15:86-99 & 49:14-18.
that said, allah exhorts:

allah's divine revelation and the message thereof is very clear. AND if you, all faithful muslims out there continue to associate yourselves with such violators of 'allah's revelations -- aayaa-tillaahi' then you will become one of them. and such people are also prone to satanic attacks and intrigues. they will all share the same fate in the end i.e., in the hereafter.

1. The Opening (Al-Fátíha)
This chapter has 7 verses.
1. In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
The translation of the Holy Quran presented here is the Abdullah Yusuf Ali translation improved and expanded by the Quran translation committee set up by King Fahd ibn Abdul Aziz
and the General Presidency of the Departments of Islamic Researches, Ifta, Call and Guidance of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia.Preface to the Translation of the Qur-ăn
The Glorious Qur-ă is the Book of Allah, the Wise and Worthy of all Praise, Who has promised to safeguard it from any violations in its purity.
A number of individuals have in the past ventured to translate the Qur-ăn, but their works have generally been private attempts, greatly influenced by their own prejudices. In order to produce a reliable translation free from personal bias, a Royal decree (No. 19888, dated 16/8/1400 AH) was issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd ibn Abdul Aziz, at that time the deputy prime minister, authorizing the General Presidency of the Departments of Islamic Researches, Ifta, Call and Guidance to undertake the responsibility of revising and correcting a particular translation which would be selected for this purpose and made publicly available later.
To accomplish this enormous task, a number of committees were formed, comprising scholars well qualified both in Islamic Shari'a and the English language. Some of these scholars were associated with the General Presidency of the Departments of Islamic Researches, Ifta, Call and Guidance.
The translation by the late Ustadh Abdullah Yusuf Ali
was consequently chosen for; its distinguishing characteristics, such as a highly elegant style, a choice of words close to the meaning of the original text, accompanied by scholarly notes and commentaries.
According to the Royal decree (No. 12412, dated 27/10/1405 AH), this translation is printed at King Fahd Holy Qur-ăn Printing Complex in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah and also with coordination of the General Presidency of the Departments of Islamic Researches, Ifta, Call and Guidance.

was Zohurul Hoque aware of the above translation at all? did he ever consult it? was he aware of its contents?
well, let the PROOF speak for itself.
Text in light green background are Dr. Zohurul Hoque's translation
Text in light brown background are late Abdullah Yusuf Ali's translation as published by King Fahd Holy Qur-an Printing Complex, Saudi Arabia. Inaccurate or incorrect translations have been highlighted in red color. Text in page background are comments as to why Abdullah Yusuf Ali's translation is deemed inaccurate or incorrect. Comments:
1. La raiba means there is "no doubt"; Fihi means "in it". So the correct translation is "there is no doubt in it". Yusuf Ali has translated it as "sure, without doubt". The translation does not conform to the Arabic wordings.
2. Li means "for"; al-Muttaqin means "the reverent". The word has been used as a Noun in Passive Participle. So the correct translation is "for the reverent". In Yusuf Ali's translation, "To those who fear Allah", he has not only inserted the word "Allah" as extra, but also converted the Noun into a Verb. The Arabic of "To those who fear Allah" is "li-lladhina yakhshauna-llaha".[emphasis added, navali]

in other words, although Zohurul Hoque was fully aware of those earlier translations of the holy qur'an, upon which he heavily depended for the most part, he adopted a radically different and diametrically opposite approach overall. and in the process, not only did he practically revise all the previous editions, simultaneously but also he 'MUTILATED' the divine message of the holy qur'an, as he would put it.

ABDULLAH YUSUF ALI
( 1872 - 1948 A.D. )Abdullah Yusuf Ali was born in a family of the Bohra community in Bombay, India, in 1289 A.H. 1872 A.D.
His father, a merchant, was a very religious man who made sure that his son learned Quran before anything else. ... In addition to studying contemporary knowledge at school, Abdullah continued to receive lessons in Arabic language and never ceased in his studies of the Quran.
After studying what was written about the Quran in both European and Eastern languages, he returned to India and took up new residence in Lahore where he became the Dean of the Islamic College. He then began his monumental work of translating and commentating on the Quran. Abdullah later died in Lahore in 1367 A.H. 1948 A.D.
It has been more than 60 years since his complete work of translations
and commentary of the Holy Quran was made available to the world.
His pride and joy in The Holy Quran: Text, Translation and Commentary
has made a tremendous impact upon the English-reading Muslims and
non-muslims alike. His work is by far the most well-known, and most
well-respected by 'Ulama, i.e, Scholars, and 'Amma, i.e, the general public,
in the English language work of the Quran=
anyhow, with the exception of the late rashad khalifa, none of the above named muslim translators of the holy qur'an, including Ifta, Call and Guidance of Saudi Arabia, ventured to edit the revealed arabic text of the holy qur'an.
NOTE: the latter i.e., the saudi wahhabis had dropped it from their daily salah-prayer.
despite the said omission from their daily salah, all of them have retained the opening statement of surah al-fatihah 'as is' -- and also translated the same into english. in accordance with HQ. 15:87, most of them have treated it as the opening verse of the said surah.
but not so dr. zohurul hoque. some may argue that he begins every new chapter [EXCEPT SURAH AL-FATIHAH & AL-TAWBA], of the qur'anic translation with the opening statement viz., - 'With the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Rewarding,' so what's the big deal?
enigmatic & deceptive pauline style and approach 'incorporated' in the english translation of the holy qur'an by a twofaced -or- multifaceted innovator
well, that in and of itself, is the big deal BECAUSE you are dealing with a disingenuous innovator, who would like you to believe in his non-qur'anic fabrications as the gospel truth.
having said that, it is a well known fact among both the christian and the muslim scholars that paul of tarsus was the founder and innovator of the pauline christian faith, as we have it today. not only did he deliberately distort, misinterpret and misrepresent the old testament but also he abrogated 'jesus christ's islamic teachings' with his pagan cult and pre-christian paganism.
unfortunately, zohurul hoque followed in his footsteps almost to the letter. if you have any doubt about the aforesaid then please, i urge you to remember his bombastic claim - quoted elsewhere, and the following facts.
ABROGATION OF THE HOLY QUR'AN IN THE 21ST CENTURY
like the late rashad khalifa, zohurul hoque also abrogated the holy qur'an on the strength of some weak and disputed hadith. it must be remembered that such spurious ahadith come down to us some 250 years after the prophetic mission and not before.
so, if only one weak and disputed hadith was powerful enough to do the job i.e., 'ABROGATE 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim' -- then why not replace the whole qur'anic revelation on the strength of such SPURIOUS ahadith, etc.?
that said, note the big difference:-
any _n_o_t_a_b_l_e_ mention and english translation of 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim' is missing from his unnumbered'' page 1.
see details below.
on the contrary, he had inserted a business logo/monogram and his commentary on the same in order to deceive the unsuspecting muslims and others.
and also thereby, he dropped/removed
i. 'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim'
ii. ['With the name of Allah, most Gracious,
most Rewarding'];from surah al-fatihah itself.
as well, SEPARATED i. & ii, from the rest of the surahs--chapters of the holy qur'an in a very untruthful manner. see details below.
each and every opening statement viz., 'With the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Rewarding,' had been printed in italics - small type.
similar proof maybe seen on his web site as well.
please note that the 'other so-called' muslim translators, too have printed IT in 'small type.' but none have had the audacity to remove it from surah al-fatihah and thereby abrogate as well, BREAK THE QUR'AN into parts [HQ: 15:86-95 - see above], as had zohurul hoque.
and this makes all the difference in the world of ISLAM. we are talking about apples and oranges here.
==============
the most important & irrefutable proof
TRANSLATION:
The translation is very accurate and correct word to word with the Arabic text of the Holy Qur-an.
This translation is literal, not literary.
No Arabic word omitted from translation due to negligence, arbitrary reason or for the sake of English writing.
No new words introduced inside the translation to elaborate a point, to justify a given opinion or for the sake of English writing.
The translation does not show allegiance to any group or any particular school of thought.
Very accurate translation - very loyal to actual Arabic verses. No 'extra' word introduced suggesting these are equivalent of 'revealed' text. No Arabic word omitted from translation.
frankly, how true and reliable is the above claim? well let proof speak for itself.
1. says allah:
2:59. But those who did wrong changed the word which had been told them for another saying, .... 2:75. Have ye any hope that they will be true to you when a party of them used to listen to the word of Allah, then used to change it, after they had understood it, knowingly?

He will admit them into
mercy from Him--2. minhu, and grace,

4. şirāţan mustaqīman.contradiction
The translation is very accurate and correct word to word with the Arabic text of the Holy Qur-an.
dr. zohurul hoque: O you mankind! indeed a MANIFEST PROOF --burhānun --has come to you from your Rabb, and We have sent down towards you a clear light--nūran mubīnan.
[
distortion and displacement of the words]
dr. zohurul hoque: so that as to those who believe in Allah and hold fast unto Him --1. bihi, He will soon cause them to enter into mercy from himself --2. minhu and grace, and will guide them
on a straight road path --
4. şirāţan mustaqīman
towards himself --
3. ilaīhi. [pp. 173]
[emphasis added, navali]
compare
1. bihi --to him
2. minhu -- from him
3. ilaīhi --unto him
4. şirāţan mustaqīman - by the straight path
rest assured, this is not a typical example by any means at all. insha'allaah we will review his claim in more detail in the following section.

dear sirs,
re: prelude and sura al-hamd: ‘'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim’
‘with the name of allah, most gracious, most rewarding’
I need some help and clarification re the above as I am a little uncertain
and confused.
as his publishers/distributors, could you kindly answer the following
questions on his behalf or better yet, forward my email to the author
himself for his kind response?
‘'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiim’
what is dr. zohurul hoque's ACTUAL position on the above?
although, he has explained it VARIOUSLY both on the internet and in
the print, it very confusing and a little difficult to determine what
his ACTUAL position is on this matter.
a. for example, is it a part and parcel of surah al-hamd – revealed
or otherwise?
b. on what basis did he determine his ACTUAL position, whatever it
is?
c. WHY is it missing from the arabic text and translation of surah
al-hamd itself? see pp. 2 of his publication.
d. what about the other opening statements of the remaining surahs
[surah 9 excepted]?
e. why are they all in ‘SMALL-ITALICISED PRINT,’ if they are a part
and parcel of each of the remaining surahs?
f. had his position ever changed on this matter. here I am thinking
about his previous 2 translations.
g. therefore, what does his ‘SMALL-ITALICISED PRINT’ in his english
translation represent in terms of changes or corrections in this
particular case?
h. WHAT determined that change of position and when did it occur?
having said that, what makes 27:30 unique from the rest of the
‘'bismillaahir rahmaanir rahiims’? why is its translation a little
different from the rest?
compare 27:1 with 27:30 pp. 646,650.
27:1 WITH the name of allâh, [?] most gracious, [?] most
rewarding.
27:30 '… IN the name of allâh, THE most gracious, THE most
rewarding.
your kind assistance, ‘in the name of islam’ will be highly appreciated.
please treat this as urgent.
regards and salaam
brother in islam,
ali
