Aga Khan urges tolerance in the world

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By Penny MacRae

NEW DELHI, April 19 (Reuters) - The Aga Khan, spiritual head of the world's 15 million Shia Ismaili Muslims, said on Saturday survival of an interdependent globe hinged on people showing tolerance of the cultures, values and faiths of others.

Prince Karim Aga Khan, speaking to Reuters in an interview in the aftermath of the Iraq war, said the need for better cross-cultural understanding had never been greater at what he called a "clearly a defining moment in world history".

Tolerance of other cultures, values and faiths was "essential to the very survival of an interdependent world" and education was a crucial tool in achieving this, said the Aga Khan, a wealthy philanthropist and a key force in preserving Islamic cultural history.

"Pluralism is no longer simply an asset or a prerequisite for progress and development -- it is vital to our existence," he said.

Islam is for muslims *al-- Haqq — the Truth*

salaamun alaykum and ya ali madad

in addition to what we have seen so far from the above author, please allow me to present the following piece of evidence which pertains to his multifarious claim. read the same with extra caution and intelligence, if you will.

19) Sūrat Maryam

'and therein they have food for morn and evening.
Such is the Garden
which We cause the devout among Our bondmen to inherit -
We come not down save
by commandment of thy Lord'

'Illā Man Tāba Wa 'Āmana Wa `Amila Şāliĥāan Fa'ūlā'ika Yadkhulūna Al-Jannata Wa Lā Yužlamūna Shay'āan (60).

Save him who shall repent and believe and do right. Such will enter the Garden, and they will not be wronged in aught -

Jannāti `Adnin Allatī Wa`ada Ar-Raĥmānu `Ibādahu Bil-Ghaybi 'Innahu Kāna Wa`duhu Ma'tīyāan (61).

Gardens of Eden, which the Rahman hath promised to His slaves in the unseen. Lo! His promise is ever sure of fulfilment -

Lā Yasma`ūna Fīhā Laghwan 'Illā Salāmāan

Wa Lahum Rizquhum Fīhā Bukratan Wa `Ashīyāan (62).

They hear therein no idle talk, but only Peace

and therein they have food for morn and evening.

Tilka Al-Jannatu Allatī Nūrithu Min `Ibādinā Man Kāna Taqīyāan (63).

Such is the Garden which We cause the devout among Our bondmen to inherit.

Wa Mā Natanazzalu 'Illā Bi'amri Rabbika Lahu Mā Bayna 'Aydīnā Wa Mā Khalfanā Wa Mā Bayna Dhālika Wa Mā Kāna Rabbuka Nasīyāan (64).

We come not down save by commandment of thy Lord. Unto Him belongeth all that is before us and all that is behind us and all that is between those two, and thy Lord was never forgetful -

please note that these verses do not speak of the angels and/or some other winged spiritual beings, etc. and to say otherwise, is to deliberately refute or reject the holy qur'an in every sense of the term. allow me to explain.

please read the following with some intelligence.

18:65. Then found they one of Our slaves, unto whom We had given mercy from Us, and had taught him knowledge from Our presence
Pickthal's Quran Translation

18. 65:
C2411. One of Our servants: his name is not mentioned in the Qur-fin, but Tradition gives it as Khidhr. Round him have gathered a number of picturesque folk tales, with which we are not here concerned. "Khidhr" means "Green": his knowledge is fresh and green, and drawn out of the living sources of life for it is drawn from Allah's own Knowledge. He is a mysterious being, who has to be sought out. He has the secrets of some of the paradoxes of Life, which ordinary peoplc do not understand, or understand in a wrong sense, as we shall see further on. ne nearest equivalent figure in the literature of the People of the Book is Melchizedek or Melchisedek (the Greek form in the New Testament). In Gen. xiv. 18-20, he appears as king of Salem, priest of the Most High God: he blesses Abraham, and Abraham gives him tithes. Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans

Wa Lā Taĥsabanna Al-Ladhīna Qutilū Fī Sabīli Allāhi 'Amwātāan Bal 'Aĥyā'un `Inda Rabbihim Yurzaqūna (169).

zohurul hoque 3:168. And do not count those who have been killed in Allah's way as 'dead'; rather they are ' alive' IN THE PRESENCE OF THEIR RABB, they will be given sustenance [pp. 121

note that both the holy qur'an and the current dispensation of islam have been in existence for over 1400 years now.

question

1.    how and when did these 'dead' people become alive?

2.    let alone the 'PROVISION' they will receive directly from allah;

3.    how and when did they get into allah's PRESENCE to begin with?

a.    'Inna Al-Ladhīna

 b.    `Inda Rabbika

 c.   Lā Yastakbirūna `An `Ibādatihi

d.   Wa Yusabbiĥūnahu

e.  Wa Lahu Yasjudūna (206).

a.  Lo! those who are

b.   in the PRESENCE of thy Lord

c.    are not too proud to do Him service

d.   but they praise Him

e.  and unto Him they prostrate.

4.    was there any form of ‘wafat’ - gathering or ‘rafa’ - ascension  involved or mentioned in their case here?

5.    if not, where are the 'once dead and now living' muslim martyrs from eons past?

6.    did they leave and/or were they removed from allah's presence at anytime?

please prove it from the holy qur'an only. look for additional details and irrefutable qur'anic evidence in the next section - zohurul hoque_multifaceted claim_iv.

the hadith

"I SAW HIM LIFTED TO THE SKY''

Sahih Bukhari Hadith - Book 5
Hadith From Number 401

419) Narrated 'Aisha:

Abu Bakr asked the Prophet to allow him to go out (of Mecca) when he was greatly annoyed (by the infidels).... When the Prophet (and Abu Bakr) went away (from the Cave), he (i.e. 'Amir) too went along with them and they both used to make him ride at the back of their camels in turns till they reached Medina. 'AMIR BIN FUHAIRA WAS MARTYRED ON THE DAY OF BIR MA'UNA.

Narrated 'Urwa: When those (Muslims) at Bir Ma'una were martyred and 'Amr bin Umaiya Ad-Damri was taken prisoner, 'Amir bin At-Tufail, POINTING AT A KILLED PERSON, asked Amr, "Who is this?" 'Amr bin Umaiya said to him, "HE IS 'AMIR BIN FUHAIRA."

'amir bin at-tufail said, "I SAW HIM LIFTED TO THE SKY AFTER HE WAS KILLED till i saw the sky between him and the earth, and then he was brought down upon the earth."

Then the news of the killed Muslims reached the Prophet and he announced the news of their death saying, "YOUR COMPANIONS (OF BIR MA'UNA) have been killed, and they have asked their Lord saying, 'O our Lord! Inform our brothers about us as we are pleased with You and You are pleased with us.' "

SO ALLAH INFORMED THEM (I.E. THE PROPHET AND HIS COMPANIONS) ABOUT THEM (I.E. MARTYRS OF BIR MAUNA).

please read, review and understand the above qur'anic text and the hadith very carefully. the following matter is somehow related to it.

Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian (the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement; the Mujaddid (Reformer) of the 14th Century Hijrah; and, the Promised Messiah and Mahdi) <Please read his biography in the 'Biography' section>and like his predecessor, the late ghulam ahmed qadiani, zohurul hoque, a self-proclaimed 'mujaddid/nabi/rasul and the divine light' - [see his book notes#6:65-69, pp. 228]; says that although jesus was 'crucified' - 'he was saved from death on the cross.'

he plainly asserts that not only did jesus recover in a cave but also that he AFTERWARDS ESCAPED to an 'unnamed' greener plateau.

zohurul hoque note#4:158  'and allah is exalted in might, most wise [in PAVING his way of escape]' - [pp. 169]

and although, he did not name or associate it directly with jesus -- zohurul hoque, asserted elsewhere in his 'book-novel' that other jews emigrated TO kashmir, northern india.

[see note#2:61,72,243, pp. 16,19,68; note#3:54, pp. 96; note#4:157, pp. 169; note#7:124,128,137, pp. 270/71/73; note#19:33, pp. 512;  note#23:50, pp. 584] - [translation and commentary on the holy quran - Dr. zohurul hoque ISBN 0-9678304-0-0 Holy Quran Publishing Project] --  [[email protected], [email protected] [email protected]]

however, the qadiani leader identified the 'promised land' as kashmir, in the far east.

As expected, zohurul hoque failed to name the place because that would show his direct  dependence on the qadiani literature and philosophy as well.

but as luck would have it, his commentaries on this subject and translation of the qur'anic text had betrayed him, regardless. See his translation cum note#2:61,72, 243, pp. 16,19,68 & note#4:157,158, pp. 169.

'_A_N_Y_   Egypt   ---  the rich PROMISED LAND OF KASHMIR'

1.     Verse 2:61 -- Section 7   -    zohurul hoque: And behold! you said: "O Musa! we cannot endure with one food; ..... Go down into _A_N_Y_ Egypt...."

2.     zohurul hoque: note#2:61, And behold! you said: "O Musa! we cannot [] endure with one [] food; ..... Go down into _A_N_Y_ Egypt [as, in front is the rich PROMISED LAND OF KASHMIR having meadows and springs, 23:50,] [note#2:61, pp. 16 see also note#2:243, pp. 68].

compare the 'UNNAMED' - rich 'promised land'

original source: Yusuf Ali's Commentary

2. 61:  C74. The Tanwin expressing indefiniteness may mean "any Egypt", i.e., any country as fertile as Egypt.

(2) In front is the rich Promised Land, which you are reluctant to march to; behind is Egypt, the land of bondage.

important note

not only did zohurul hoque REVISE the original note [Yusuf Ali's Commentary 2. 61:  C74 - see details below] in this case but also there was absolutely no mention of the purported, 'PROMISED LAND OF KASHMIR' @ note#23:50.  this was despite the above notation [zohurul hoque: note#2:61]. allow me to explain.

for example:

i.    see zohurul hoque: note#2:255, pp. 73 - 'on intercession' ;

ii.   it was further elaborated on @ zohurul hoque: note#43:86, pp. 862, the most appropriate place for it.

in the like manner, note#2:61, pp. 16 and note#2:243, pp. 68, etc., should have been corroborated at the following spot, too. after all is said and done, his hypothesis on 'the promised land of kashmir' stemmed from the following qur'anic verse.

Wa Ja`alnā Abna Maryama Wa 'Ummahu 'Āyatan Wa 'Āwaynāhumā 'Ilaá Rabwatin Dhāti Qarārin Wa Ma`īnin (50).

zohurul hoque: note#23:50. 'And We made the son of mar-yam and his mother a sign [], and [after their escape from the land of prosecutors 4:157] We sheltered them in a [vast] plateau having [rich] meadows and [plenty of] springs.' [pp. 584]

the original proponents

a.    The Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement
50a. There has been much discussion as to the land spoken of in this verse. Rabwah is lofty ground, and qarar means cultivated land, and a place where water rests in a meadow (LL). Jerusalem, Egypt, Palestine or Damascus, which are the names suggested, do not answer the description, which applies exactly to the valley of Kashmir.

b.    qadiani note - [see also the Ahmadi Qur'an, published under the auspices of Hzt. Mirza Tahir Ahmad, pp. 742]

WHY did not zohurul hoque respond in the same manner? there is only one of the two possibilities here. either zohurul hoque did not  agree with the qadianis at this point and/or more likely, he did not wish to show his direct  dependence on the qadiani lead, philosophy and literature per se.

regardless, it was his  typical way of playing mind games with the revelations of allah and the holy qur'an.

meaning: that piece of land - 'promised or otherwise' must have been in the vicinity of the revelation per se., and not, somewhere in the distant indian sub-continent.

the main reason being, 'india' was already well known in the biblical times - and not once had it been referred to in this particular context even by the biblical authors, the editors and/or the exponents thereof.  allow me to give you an example from the bible.

paran, ishmael and kedar

1.    Genesis 17:20 (KJV) And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.  Genesis 21:13 (KJV) And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he [is] thy seed.

2.    Genesis 21:20 (KJV) And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.
Genesis 21:21 (KJV) And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

3.    Genesis 25:13 (KJV) And these [are] the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

Deuteronomy 33:2 (KJV) And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand [went] a fiery law for them

Isaiah 42:10 (KJV) Sing unto the LORD a new song, [and] his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

Isaiah 42:11 (KJV) Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up [their voice], the villages [that] Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
Isaiah 42:12 (KJV) Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.
Isaiah 42:13 (KJV) The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.

what is my point?  simply to show that this 'UNBROKEN' biblical trend continued in one form or the other right from the book of genesis up to and including the last book of revelation.

in other words, despite all the changes, additions and deletions, etc., that have crept into the bible - the lord god's plan for ishmael and his descendants -- i.e., the holy prophet and his ahl al-baiyt--household or the rightful holy imams [pbuth], in the later days was mapped out very clearly therein.

Later this afternoon the President will have a brief meeting with the Aga Khan, who is a leading Shia, a imam of the Shia faith from Asia. The President looks forward to talking with the Aga Khan about expanding opportunities and democracies in Muslim nations. [just saw this news release on the internet, navali]

that is the real peace 'road map' that the bush administration and its allies should really look at and not just map out its own political strategy in the mid-east because, sooner or later it is bound to FAIL.

and although, INDIA was the cradle of religion and spiritualism as well, the blessed land of the lord vishnu's 8 manifestations, from times immemorial, there were no direct prophecies linked to it in the bible.

on the contrary, his last 2 manifestations were supposed to take place in the middle east, according to both the hindu scripture and the bible.

furthermore, it must be noted at this point that both the mother and her newly born [jesus] returned to their folks after his birth. this qur'anic fact alone must remove all the 'mystery' that is generated by the said claimants re: the identity of the location in question.

see 19:22-26 and the pertinent details given below as well.

on the other hand, not only was the so-called 'promised land' placed in the far east' by these individuals but also zohurul hoque was perhaps, the only interpreter who had gone this far with his bold claim [note#23:50; note#2:61, pp. 16. see also note#2:243, pp. 68 and note#21:9, pp. 544]. look for irrefutable details below.

note#100/61c.   Sale’s translation, "Get ye down into Egypt," is decidedly wrong. The word misr is used here as a common noun, and means a city. Hazeroth (Num. 11:35) seems to have been the place referred to here, "a station in the desert journey, the second after leaving Senai, probably to be identified with the modern ‘Ain al-Huderah, about forty miles N.E. of Jabal Musĺ" (Bib. He said: "Will ye exchange the better for the worse? Go ye down to any town, and ye shall find what ye want!"

zohurul hoque:

And behold! you said: "O Musa! we cannot endure with one food; therefore pray to your Rabb for us that He may produce for us out of what the earth grows: of its herbs and its cucumbers, and its cereals and its lentils, and its onions." He said: "Do you wish to change that which is inferior for that which is superior? Go down into A_N_Y_ E_G_Y_P_T, so you will have what you ask for."

T. J. Irving:

first of, please note that none of the qadiani and/or the lahore ahmadiyya sources have been accredited above by zohurul hoque.

Romans 3:7 (KJV) For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

1 Corinthians 9:19 (KJV) For though I be free from all [men], yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. 1 Corinthians 9:20 (KJV) And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; 1 Corinthians 9:21 (KJV) To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. 1 Corinthians 9:22 (KJV) To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all [men], that I might by all means save some.1 Corinthians 9:23 (KJV) And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with [you].

4:143. Swaying between this (and that), (belonging) neither to these nor to those. He whom Allah causeth to go astray, thou (O Muhammad) wilt not find a way for him:
Pickthal's Quran Translation

4.143:
C651. If we-choose evil deliberately and double our guilt by fraud and deception, we do not deceive Allah, but we deceive ourselves. We deprive ourselves of the Grace of Allah, and are left straying away from the Path. In that condition who can guide us or show us the Way? Our true and right instincts become blunted: our fraud makes us unstable in character; when our fellow-men find out our fraud, any advantages we may have gained by the fraud are lost; and we become truly distracted in mind.

Similarities Between Apollonius and Jesus
By Dr. R. W. Bernard, B.A., M.A., Ph.D. (1964)

Apollonius of Tyana
... Apollonius who undertook a journey to India,
and this became the basis for the story, which many believe, that Jesus did not die on the cross but went to India ... members.lycos.co.uk/sldocs/tyana.html

could he be 'Apollos' of the new testament?

there is ample evidence out there to this effect and as such, more and more christians are leaning towards it.

Acts 18:24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus. Acts 18:28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:5-6 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

1Co 3:6
1Co 3:6. It will be seen by the account in Ac 18:24,27-28, that Apollos commenced his ministry in Corinth, after Paul had left it.

And behold! you said: "O Musa! we cannot endure with one food; therefore pray to your Rabb for us that He may produce for us out of what the earth grows: of its herbs and its cucumbers, and its cereals and its lentils, and its onions." He said: "Do you wish to change that which is inferior for that which is superior? Go down into _A_N_Y__ _E_G_Y_P_T,_ so you will have what you ask for." And humiliation and vagabondism were flung upon them, and they drew wrath from Allah. That was because they indeed went on rejecting the MESSAGES OF ALLAH, and would kill the nabis without just cause. That was so because they disobeyed and they used to transgress.

The Tanwin expressing indefiniteness may mean "any Egypt", i.e., any country as fertile as Egypt

There is here a subtle reminiscence as well as a severe reproach. ....  Moses's reproach to them was twofold:

(1) Such variety of foods you can get in any town; would you, for their sake, sell your freedom? Is not freedom better than delicate food?

(2) In front is the rich Promised Land, which you are reluctant to march to; behind is Egypt, the land of bondage.

question

i.    why compare zohurul hoque's translation with that of the qadiani's and/or the lahore ahmadi's respective translation?

ii.    what do these 3 translations have in common, if anything at all?

note:

a.    despite his DELIBERATE failure to accredit the qadiani and the lahore ahmadiyya sources;
b.    he was NOT the original exponent of the said notions.
c.    on the contrary, he merely imitated  the original(?) EAST INDIAN proponent namely, mirza ghulam ahmed qadiani.

Survival of the Crucifixion

The first Muslim writer known to have included the tradition of Jesus having traveled to India in his youth with the tradition that he, as Yuz Asaf, had traveled in southwest Asia in the latter half of the first century, was the 10th-century historian, Shaikh Al-Said. 41 [41. Shaikh A-Said-us-Sadiq, Kamal-ud-Din (Iran:Syed-us-Sanad Press, 1782) 357-358. See K. N. Ahmad, Jesus in Heaven on Earth, 365-366.]

the missing years

Luke 2:42 (KJV) And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.  Luke 3:23 (KJV) And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was [the son] of Heli,

please note that 18 LONG years of jesus' prophetic mission and life had been mostly unaccounted for in the christian bible and history until recently. that matter has now been resolved with the following discovery.

important

but first, please note that according to the original - 'far eastern source - the buddhist scripture' - jesus was ONLY known as 'ISSA'  in kashmir and among the buddhists.

and never as 'Yuz Asaf'.

'IN THE SACRED PERSON OF ISSA'

Source: "The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ" by Nicolas Notovitch

In a nutshell, after the close of the Turko-Russian War (1877-1878) Nicolas Notovitch took a tour through the Orient. While visiting a Buddhist convent, he learned from the chief Lama that there existed very ancient memoirs in the archives of Lassa (Lhasa) Tibet. These precious chronicles reveal the life of Christ and the nations of the Occident.

"It is not to him I referred, sahib," the Lama replied. "We also respect him whom you recognize as the son of an only God, only we do not regard him as such, but as the excellent being, the chosen one from among us. BUDDHA DID, INDEED, INCARNATE HIMSELF WITH HIS INTELLIGENCE IN THE SACRED PERSON OF ISSA, WHO, WITHOUT THE AID OF FIRE AND SWORD, WENT FORTH TO PROPAGATE OUR GREAT AND TRUE RELIGION THROUGH THE ENTIRE WORLD.

Nicolas questioned the Lama about "Issa" and the Lama answered:

"Issa is a great prophet, one of the first after the 22 Buddhas; he is greater than any of the Dalai-Lamas, for he constitutes a part of the spirituality of our Lord...His name and his deeds have been recorded in our sacred writings, and whilst reading of his great existence spent in the midst of erring people, we weep over the horrible sin of the pagans, who assassinated him after putting him to the most cruel tortures."

Nicolas' mind raced. Issa sounded exactly like the Christian Dalai-Lama, Jesus. "Where are these sacred writings, and by whom were they compiled?" he asked.

And so Nicolas set out to visit every convent in Tibet in order to find these manuscripts about Issa. "When the sacred child had attained a certain age, he was taken to India, where, until he attained manhood, he studied the laws of the Great Buddha..."

1. In the course of his fourteenth year, young Issa, blessed by God, journeyed beyond the Sindh and settled among the Aryas in the beloved country of God.

VIII.

1. The fame of Issa's sermons spread to the neighboring countries, and, when he reached Persia, the priests were terrified and forbade the inhabitants to listen to him.

IX.

1. Issa, whom the Creator had chosen to recall the true God to the people that were plunged in depraviation,

was 29 years old when he arrived in the land of Israel.

XIII.

1. Saint Issa thus taught the people of Israel for 3 years in every city, in every village, on the roadways, and in the fields, and all that he had predicted had come to pass.

23. At these words, the Governor became violently enraged and ordered the death of Issa.

6. Three days later, the Governor sent his soldiers to take up the body of Issa and bury it elsewhere, fearing a general uprising of the people.

7. The following day the sepulcher was found open and empty by the multitude; and the rumor immmediately spread that the Supreme Judge had sent his angels to take away the mortal remains of the saint in whom dwelt on earth a part of the Divine Spirit.

There was no physical resurrection. Pilate's soldiers removed Issa's body!

please note that an 18 year gap had been finally filled by the above buddhist account of jesus' life and sojourn in the far east and journey back to israel via persia and his subsequent cruci_FICTion and death.

the following independent account lends some credence to it.

Ch.7, "Those Versatile Essenes" Beskow quotes from the anonymous
"The crucifiction by an eyewitness, (p.54-55), the Essene Letter", which
begins:
"I have informed you of all these things, my brethren, that you shall
indeed know that Jesus was our brother, and belonged to our Holy Order, ...."

1.    The document claims that Jesus was revived by Joseph of Arimathea & Nicodemus using Essene healing practices.

2.    and the youth observed with inexpressible joy that the lips of the body moved, AND THAT IT BREATHED. he at once hastened to JESUS TO ASSIST HIM, AND HEARD SLIGHT SOUNDS RISING FROM HIS BREAST. the FACE assumed a LIVING APPEARANCE, and the EYES OPENED and in astonishment gazed at the novice of our order [pp. 79]

3.    The two angels at the tomb were really Essene brothers dressed in white. Jesus died some six months later from the injuries sustained during his torture.
['the crucifixion, by an eye-witness' - second edition, chicago indo-american book co. 1907, reprinted 1972 by health research, pomeroy, wa 99347]

"The Crucifiction by an Eye-witness", (1907), & 'The crucifiction and resurrection of Jesus, by an eyewitness", (1919), & "An eyewitness Account" (1975).

question

1.    the qadianis and zohurul hoque contend passionately, 'where is the grave of jesus and/or his mortal remains,' if indeed jesus died in israel?

the sepulchre

Matthew 27:60-62 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed. And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre. Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,

although a majority of the muslims do not subscribe to the aforesaid nor do they contend as the above, this biblical evidence just cited, is as good as any in this respect.

2.    however, the same scripture speaks differently in the case of moses and aaron [pbuth], respectively.

my question to them then is, if the following biblical text is valid and acceptable to them -  where are those '2 graves and the mortal remains' of the 2 deceased israelite prophets?

3.    remember, this was the 'lord god of abraham' who spoke to moses then.

deuteronomy 32:50 (KJV) And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:

Deuteronomy 34:1 (KJV) And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that [is] over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan, {Pisgah: or, the hill} Deuteronomy 34:2 (KJV) And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea, Deuteronomy 34:3 (KJV) And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.

'This [is] the land which I sware unto Abraham'

Deuteronomy 34:4 (KJV) And the LORD said unto him, This [is] the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see [it] with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither

Deuteronomy 34:5 (KJV) So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. Deuteronomy 34:6 (KJV) And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.

4.    however, was the 'lord god of abraham' different from 'allah of the islamic dispensation'?

regardless, we have more than enough non-islamic evidence here to refute the qadiani's/zohurul hoque's respective claim in this matter.

again, please note that according to the original - 'far eastern source - the buddhist scripture' - jesus was ONLY known as 'ISSA'  in kashmir and among the buddhists.

and never as 'Yuz Asaf'.

he was taken to 'INDIA' - as a young child. LATER, he returned from india as an adult - teacher. he journeyed back to israel via persia, etc. he taught for 3 years in israel before his so-called cruci_FICTion and death.

at least there is some harmony between the two 'unrelated accounts' of his life and whereabouts.

Did Jesus survive the crucifixion?
... As Jesus gradually moved through Persia, he increasingly became known as "Yuz Asaf," meaning "leader of the healed." Tradition says he preached throughout ...

navali: this account refutes his one-way - eastward journey to INDIA.

The Life of Saint Issa
Best of the Sons of Men
Translation by Notovitch

3 At sunset the sufferings of Issa came to an end. He lost consciousness, and the soul of this just man left his body to become absorbed in the Divinity.

4 Thus ended the earthly existence of the reflection of the Eternal Spirit under the form of a man who had saved hardened sinners and endured many sufferings.

5 Meanwhile, Pilate became afraid of his action and gave the body of the saint to his parents, who buried it near the spot of his execution. The crowd came to pray over his tomb, and the air was filled with groans and lamentations.

6 Three days after, the governor sent his soldiers to carry away the body of Issa to bury it elsewhere, fearing otherwise a popular insurrection.

7 The next day the crowd found the tomb open and empty. At once the rumor spread that the supreme Judge had sent his angels to carry away the mortal remains of the saint in whom dwelt on earth a part of the Divine Spirit.

note again

hope this answers some of his outlandish questions.

rest assured, the holy qur'an always humbles a seeker after the truth, what to speak of a person who claims to feel allah's divine presence at all times!

We will give you correct translation of the verses, word for word,  so that you can get the point.  It is a sad that many Muslims  blame the correct translation to be false and cite incorrect translations as authentic.  We will show you several examples of correct and incorrect translations so that  any sensible person can find out the true picture.

[mujaddid showing light and guidance, navali]

Your mind will prompt you to say these are falsification of the teaching of the Quran. Please read again and tell me which part is false, where did I misguide you, where is the forgery. There is no forgery.

My aim is to show you that you have been kept in darkness, away from the truth. Unlike others, I am not jumping into conclusions by force,  rather I am trying to show you the true picture, and leaving the decision to yourself.  With this let us revisit two verses from Surah Ale Imran, 3:53-54.

The Lost Years of Jesus:
The Life of Saint Issa
Translation by Notovitch: Ancient scrolls reveal that Jesus spent seventeen years in India and Tibet

  • From age thirteen to age twenty-nine, he was both a student and teacher of Buddhist and Hindu holy men

  • The story of his journey from Jerusalem to Benares was recorded by Brahman historians

rest assured, the modern day qadianis have had the audacity to alter the above account to suit their purpose as well, add a tinge of divine flavor and mystery to their leader and founder's findings in 1899 i.e., 127 years _A_F_T_E_R_  Shaikh A-Said-us-Sadiq's, Kamal-ud-Din (Iran:Syed-us-Sanad Press, 1782 & Notovitch's  published translation.

Jesus(pbuh): Dead or Alive?

By: Nadeem Quraishi
The author of this page is NOT a Qadiani
This is not a Qadiani propaganda

I am trying to show you plenty of  evidences from the Quran to prove that Jesus(pbuh) is not alive --  he is dead and that he was not raised alive in the Heaven.  Unfortunately this may sound so much like a Qadiani propaganda.  However, it is not a Qadiani propaganda and the author of this text is not a Qadiani.  It is true that it was the Qadianis who for the first time proclaimed that Jesus(pbuh) is not alive in the Heaven, rather  he died a natural death.   Because originally it was a Qadiani thought,  believing in this judgment seems like you are believing everything that the Qadianis proclaim.  Then you fall prey to the curse that you are no more a true Muslim!   So you play safe and reject any and all opinions propounded by the Qadianis.

  • all Muslims believe Jesus(pbuh) was raised alive, so I also believe it (I don’t care what the Quran says);
  • if I believe Jesus(pbuh) was not raised alive, then I become Qadiani, and I don't want to be a Qadiani;
  • my forefathers believed Jesus(pbuh) was raised alive, were they wrong?  I would rather follow my forefathers (instead of following the teaching of Quran).

It is up to you to summarily reject the arguments because it appears like a Qadiani or Ahmadiya debate. Once again I am reminding you, you don’t have to become a Qadiani or Ahmadiya to believe in the total Quran. In order to reject the Qadianis or Ahmadiyas, you are trying to burn your own house.

Please have courage to accept the truth.  It has nothing to do with Qadianism.  You are not converting in to Qadiani faith.  This is not a Qadiani propaganda.

it is nice to know that the ahmadis have found a real sympathizer and defender in one zohurul hoque. however, will he also accept the founder's claim to the prophethood after the holy prophet's [sas] advent and his--zohurul hoque, categorical stand and interpretation of surah 33:40? here's what i mean.

For ease of argument, before I unfold my points, I want to declare the following:
That I believe there is no God but Allah, and Muhammad(pbuh) is His Rasul.
That I believe Muhammad(pbuh) is the Last and the Final Nabi. No Nabi can come after him.  Period.

In reaching my conclusion I laid down few cardinal rules to follow.  Let me see if you can follow the same rules with me:

I believe in Total Quran –  its entire message and teaching.
I believe no verse in the Quran contradicts each other and there is no abrogation of verse(s).

the Ahmadi Muslims

According to the Ahmadi Muslims, the expression 'Seal of the Prophets' does not mean that the Holy Prophet is chronologically the last Prophet. A seal is a mark of distinction and, in this case, implies great perfection of prophethood. Ahmadis believe that the door to prophethood is always open. However, a new prophet after the Prophet Muhammad must be a follower of his and must be from within the fold of Islam. Ahmadi Muslims do believe that the Prophet Muhammad was the last law giving Prophet and that no new law giving prophet can come after him.

so, was zohurul hoque DEFENDING the aforesaid mahdi and mujaddid, his predecessor?

that said, what did the latter represent in the ahmadiyya islam per se? let its irrevocable record speak for itself.

Need of Imam of the Age

In this booklet, written in September 1898, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad describes the qualities that are bestowed by Allah upon the person who is appointed Imam of the Age. He explains how the one who is the Divinely-appointed Imam of the Time is distinguished from other persons who also may be blessed with spiritual experience to some extent.

one or both of these qadiani leaders were wrong, as was their accomplice!

hadith: ' the two weighty things'

4:54. Or do they envy the people for what Allah has given them of His grace? But indeed We have given to Ibrahim's children the Book and the wisdom, and We have given them a grand kingdom
Shakir's Quran Translation

2:124. And remember that Abraham was tried by his Lord with certain commands, which he fulfilled: He said: "I will make thee an Imam to the Nations." He pleaded: "And also (Imams) from my offspring!" He answered: "But My Promise is not within the reach of evil-doers."
Yusuf Ali's Quran Translation

2.124:
C123. Kalimat: literally "words" here used in the mystic sense of God's Will or Decree or Purpose. This verse may be taken to be the sum of the verses following. In everything Abraham fulfilled God's wish: he purified God's house; he built the sacred refuge of the Kaba; he submitted his will to God's, and thus became the type of Islam.
He was promised the leadership of the world; he pleaded for his progeny, and his prayer was granted, with the limitation that if his progeny was false to God, God's promise did not reach the people who proved themselves false.
Yusuf Ali's Commentary from QuranTrans

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 4:54]

It was the "house of Ibrahim" which was promised leadership in religion and greatness as a nation. Please refer to the commentary of al-Baqarah: 124 to know how the divine kingdom was transferred to the descendants of Ismail, the son of Ibrahim,-the Holy Prophet and his Ahl ul Bayt, whom Allah has given the book, the wisdom and a great kingdom.

*3715 - Ahl al-Bait i.e. the household of the Prophet (SAS) which includes his wives as well as his daughter Fatima, his son-in-law 'Ali and his grandsons Hassan and Husain generally in accordance with the narrative of Umm Salama. (The Holy Qur'an English translation of the meanings and Commentary - Mushaf Al-Madinah An -Nabawiyah - Revised & Edited by The Presidency of Islamic Researches, Ifta, Call and Guidance, pp. 1251).

hadith: ' the two weighty things'

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 5:67]

Shibli Nu-mani in Siratun Nabi (completed by Sayyid Sulayman Nadvi) writes:

A small lake is called ghadir in Arabic, so this place is known as Ghadir Khum. There, the Holy Prophet addressed his companions and said:

Glory be to Allah. I am a human being. I may be recalled shortly and I must comply. I leave behind, among you, the two weighty things. One of them is the book of Allah wherein there is guidance and light; hold fast to the book. The other thing is my Ahl ul Bayt. I call your attention to Allah in the matter of my Ahl ul Bayt."

Chapter 33 Al-Ahzab

the qadiani-ahmadiyya movement

*2353 - The expression Ahl al-Bait applies principally and primarily to the Holy Prophet's wives. ..... In its wider sense, however, it includes all members of a family who form one's household, even one's children and children's children. [see also the ahmadi qur'an, pp. 908, published under the auspices hzt. mirza nasir ahmad & tahir ahmad, respectively].

[important note: when, in RESPONSE to his very derogatory remarks re: my holy imam, the aga khan iv [sa] and the qur'anic concept of purity, this author confronted the above named qadiani leader in 1986, with the just cited qadiani tafsir -- interpretation,  he  vehemently  denied, BELIED and DENOUNCED it in the presence of his qadiani jama'at and other canadians in calgary, alberta.

in this manner, not only did he publicly BELIE and denounce his 2 predecessors namely, mirza bashir ahmad, the 2nd successor and author of the said tafsir ;

and mirza nasir ahmad, the 3rd successor and their judgment ;

but also he BELIED and denounced his own, simultaneously because later the said tafsir was published under his auspices as well.

frankly, what other choice did he have at the time but to deny, denounce and BELIE the 'qadiani - ahmadiyya islam/movement' in all its forms - when boxed in a corner in this manner?

some qadianis were noticeably disappointed in him and his above remarks or plea for help, as were the other canadians present then.

by the way, i was invited to the 'qadiani seminar' by the late leader himself. the full session was videotaped at the time. i still have a copy of that videotape.

did he then knowingly MISLEAD the qadianis for all these years, as did his grandfather and founder of the ahmadiyya movement before him?

rest assured, the said zohurul hoque is wearing the same mantle today!
