11-7-02
Today is always a day to look forward to, friday.... The weekend, plus the prospect of not being at the dorm for an extended period of time is always a plus. Tonight I was planning to spend it at 5 ships with Leah. So I wake up and I study for the Japanese quiz that I had today. I received an e-mail from the person who is suppose to be my Japanese partner for the JAT program. He wanted to meet at 12 today and I told him that it would be okay. My boy was online since it had been a lot time since that I had gotten the chance to talk with him, mmmeee sooo happy :) He even called me for a short time. I was procrastinating to go to class so I had to rush to school. i saw a few of the girls from school on the way. It is funny because there is this girl that I was by everyday on my way to school and i think that she has the coolest clothing. Everyday i see her and I am tempted to start a conversation with her but I don't know enough Japanese. I ended for class and I still managed to get there slightly earlier. We took our quiz, but I was not in class mode. While I was talking to Ceceil then I realized that I told the guy that i would meet him while I was in class *smacks forehead* then I felt horrible. I texted messaged him and I was hoping that he would receive it. Erika texted messaged me during class and asked if I wanted to have lunch together and I said "sure." Then as Leah, Cecilia and I were on our way to Yotsuya we ran into Erika :) I explained how that I was going to eat at Yotsuya to see if my language partner was still there, and while we were at the cafeteria he e-mailed me. I ate my onigiri and my an-pan which was minature bread with chocolate inside. I was talking about how glad that my snack was not double wrapped. Erika explained that the Japanese double wrap a lot of things because once someone posioned them and a bunch of kids died.... so there is one reason. The cafeteria was packed and then we realized that we had to head back. Erika headed home and we headed back towards school, and then Leah and I were reminiscing about 80's cartoons, and we started singing random ones and I was surprised that she knew some of the more obscere ones. Once we were back at school I realized that we were 5 minutes late for class and that if we went into the class late that she would number one notice this fact and then we would have to sit in the front and pretend to pay attention. We opted to skip :) We went to computer room and i decided to look up on e-bay to see if I could make any money but it seems that no one is spending money these days... so strange. After about an hour of looking Leah and I decided to head back to her dorm. I stopped at the camera shop and purchased two disposable camera for 900yen, then I went to the bank and got out some money. At Shinjuku we stopped at Odakyu as I picked at all of the free samples she was complaining about her cheese fix. So she bought some cheese and bread in the process. I opted for checking out the different floors, starting with the kid's toys. When we got into the elevator we actually had an elevator girl and could not help but think back to our second lesson in the Japanese book. The kids floor was really cool and they had a ton of Hello kitty stuff, and then the boys section was not as interesting and then Leah pointed out these dolls that I had when I was little. They were these fuzzy animals that wore very cute clothing and they always came with really articulate items or you could buy different houses or set up for them... it was weird because i remember that toy from when I was sooo little. then we smashed ourselves into the train and she commented on how we should go to shitamokutazawa, which was the place that i had been before and I thought they had a lot of cool clothing. We ended up getting back to her place by dark. Walking by the photo shop she gave them her film. She got her key and we went into her dorm. I dropped off my stuff and I commented on how cold it was, and we walked to this super market. Going to Japanese supermarkets are fun because you realize how much healthier their diets are and they have a ton of yummy stuff. I of course migrated upstairs and gawked at the snacks, and I opted for a tiny chocolate bar. Leah was bent on making Paste and cachre or something like that, but she could not find the cachre. second time around she did. We went into the check out line and then it is really funny because you have to bag your own groceries, which does seem more time effiencient. I had my chocolate money bar, which tasted like nestles crunch, and then Leah gave me a chocolate chip bar and i commented on how different icecream tastes her but I like it soo much better. Once we got back to her place, we started making the food and she put me to work. I chopped the broccili and then since we did not make a steamer we put in the pan with water and it was my job to make sure that it did not burn. I e-mailed Ceceil to come over and it did not send, but when i realized it she had e-mailed me back. I told her to come over. While we were working on the stuff she came over by that time it was time to eat. I found out that most of their appliances make noises or sing to them, it is amusing. Then while we were eating we were waiting this makeover show which i have seen before, but this episode was about how this kid was telling her mother that she should lose weight and that she was fat. After we finished eating we ended to Shitamokutazawa and once we got there everything was closed.... except that we did get to go this one store which had a cute bag only for 800yen so i bought it then we went to this home store, but everything else was closed and then I had to pee since I was drinking so much water. Nothing was open so I used Leah's pass to get into the station to use the restroom. We figured that it was bust to walk around when I when I returned so we returned back towards their place. We stopped at 7-11 on the way and I bought alcohal as well as green tea icecream. Once back in their place I got a shower and it felt good then I took a bath. i was all refreshed.... Then she set out my bed. We ended up talking until 2 in the morning and once she informed me that she would fall asleep while i was talking then i opted for sleep :) good night
