I had to get up for cleaning and after cleaning i made sure that i kinda shoved my breakfast quickly down my throat and before I left, Sara asked me where I was going. "out" i said and elaborated once i realized i was being kinda a bitch, "Yokohama." So Cindy was telling me where to get off at the station and i figured that everyone else would know where to go. For the entire morning it was a three struggle of communication on the keitai's between Leah, Ceceil, and myself. I got at the station fifteen minutes early only to discover via keitai that Ceceil was going to be late. So I amused myself with the different travel brouchures and thought about the different places that I would like to go. After looking through all of the brochures and amusing myself that all of the highlights in the American brochure where places like disney world, and universal studios, i began watching this man set up his stand in the middle of the station. I watched him from the beginning of the set up until he almost finished. Yes after 40 minutes of waiting Ceceil arrived at Ichigaya station. My back felt so strange and it cracked a lot. Anyway she explained that she was late due to getting on the wrong train, and she had to back track. I just brushed it off, and was happy that we were on our way. Leah tried to call us on the phone. We arrived at Tokyo Station and as we got off the train, there was these two Japanese guys who were arguing. One was holding on the others sleeve and they were both were very gruff with one another. They walked down the stairs like that and it was very apparent that the one Japanese guy must have said something about getting off his sleeve because the other one shook the other one some more. I wanted to watch and Ceceil said that we should not get involved so we kept walking *sniff*. I wanted to see how it played out because one does not get to see something like that everyday especially in Tokyo. First we were trying to find Leah, and i went to go to the bathroom really quick. As I went into the bathroom, the toilet started speaking to me, i was kinda surprised, anyway i did my business and letf. We meet up with Leah and now we have to catch up with Uta and her friend. So we walked around the station and they spoke to Ceceil and we were trying to figure out where exactly they were. Finally we met up with the girls. We only need to take this one line that was about 540yen to get there and it took us right to Yokohama. The train ride was nice and Ceceil and I were having an interesting conversation. She was talking about arbian nights, and in the middle of a story of hers, we arrived at Yokohama. We headed towards china town being directed by the various signs, and we browsed around a few of the stores and got paranoid looks from the workers. Thus we headed to chinatown and right outside there was a KFC with a huge plastic life sized Kernal. As we walked into the largest Chinatown, outside san francisco, the smell everywhere was sooo good. I saw this really cute long sleeve chinese outfit, that was made of velvet, looked very comfortable. We also looked around at the various dresses that none of us could afford, and I commented how I wanted one and Ceceil said that she could hook me up. I told her that I would hold her to that. Walking by some stores they had these cute bags and everything and then we were all deciding where to eat. The one restuarant we went had really good food. I am not sure what I order, something with bamboo, eggs, etc... but it kept me full for the entire day. We went into this one souvenir shop and some of the souvenirs were really fake and i was really disappointed since I could buy better ones in the states, which I felt was rather ironic. Next we walked down this one street, to see the Buddhism temple. Then we did go into this one really cool store that had all of this traditional Chinese furniture and as I turned around there was this HUGE buddha made of wood. I wanted to take a picture but somehow I felt that it would have been inappropriate. Naturally they only took cash, so I could not buy my mom this oddly colored ball that I wanted to. Anyway we walked down this one street into another traditional chinese dress store where they had these really cool pillow covers. Anyway I decided against it because they took every single credit card besides visa. We almost left chinatown, then we realized that there was more to see and it order to get to the bay we needed to go through chinatown. So we went back and i stopped at another traditional chinese dress shop where they had these really cool coats that button only at the neck. We left and then i found a nice souvenir shop, that took visa with the purchase of over 5,000 yen. Thus i bought two things for my friend in exchange for lunch earlier that day, a wallet, a carrying case for my bento, a set of tea, and three braclets. It was a really nice store. As i was in the store my phone was ringing and i attempted to grab it, but it stopped ringing as I had it in my reach. Naturally, I assumed that it was my boyfriend and i e-mailed him saying that he could call me now. Anyway we left the store. As we were walking there was a bunch of stands giving out roasted walnuts samples, and it was sooooo damn good. As we walked to Monkey Punch shopping center, I saw a palm reader which I REALLY wanted to get done, even though it would obviously be in Japanese. Anyway we went into this store and they had a lot of cool stuff, but i knew that I spent my money for the day. Anyway we walked briskly towards the bay, and I saw for the first time foreign hostesses, and as my friends and I walked by they sneered at us..... yuck it was sooo gross since they were with men about 50 years old. We walked towards the bay and as we got there we saw a man who saw feeding the seagulls, and it looked like a scene from the birds. Then a Japanese man tapped me on the shoulder and gave me a piece of bread and motioned his hand up as to feed the bird. I did and it was only in the air for maybe a second before it was snatched it out of my hand. Uta and her friend decided to got on a boat ride, so we said that we would meet them probably in the direction of the huge fairess wheel. As we were walking Leah demanded coffee so she stopped at either a starbucks or an excelsior cafe, i dunno they look exactly the same, so ceceil and I went into this little area that looked similar to Boscovs bargin tents and whatnot. She bought her caffenine fix and we started walking to the port. Ceceil decided to point out every landmark in Yokohama that Godjira destroyed. It was funny. We went into the port and it was really pretty since the sun was just setting and you could see around the bay. We walked toward the fairess wheel and I kept wondering what these two huge red building were. Apparently they use to be warehouses that they converted into a shopping mall. As soon as we entered there was this wonderful smell that was probably coming from the hand made soap. There were different bags, lamps, jewelry, hats, etc... there was even an import store with food from europe and america, so naturally i went right to the chocolate and drolled.... We went to the second floor which had mostly furniture and home decorating stuff. The third floor was two restuarant. Uta and her friend caught up with us, and they wanted to see what was inside as well. Next we headed for the big fairess wheel. It was really cool because there was an arcade inside, and there i found Para Para Paradise and I finally after months of searching got to play it. We left and we had to back track to get to another enterance to the train station. It was very beautiful, by then it was night time and all of the christmas lights were on. As I was walking on the bridge and looking around i finally knew what it was like to be in an RPG. Yokohama's architecture, the lights, the music playing in the background, walking across the bridge, I felt like I was in Final Fantasy. I really liked yokohama. Ceceil wanted to get a picture with her and the boat so we went over and took a few pictures, and then we left for home. We parted ways and I took the extremely long train to Tokyo station and i felt like falling asleep on the train a few times. At Tokyo station I wanted to jump right on the chou sobu line but it was not moving. In fact I was in the train for 30 minutes and I know that they were saying something over the loud speakers but nothing was happening. So I tried jumping on a different line and to transfer at akihabara, and once i got there to transfer onto the chou sobu line, again waiting. Lots of the business men were pissed and annoying the ekiin, which could do nothing but call the higher ups. Anyway I thought that the trains were not moving because someone committed suicide, which apparently that is a really common way to do it in Japan. So i waited for an hour at the station and finally the trains were running again and i got off at iidabashi. Walked home and then had a bananana. So very tired, went online and then went to bed.
