I posed to wonder, what message has the art and the artist amidst all of this?! An sweeping
emotion took me over and a conviction that we all must confront this vicious attak on our
culture, heritage and identity, and to defend our historical right to this land that was still
is irrigated by our sweat and the pure blood of our martyrs.
The
Palestinian heritage is the culture of our people cumulated and crafted since our earliest
dawn. If we are to understand the personality of the Palestinian, be him a farmer of a
labourer it best done through examining his heritage, added to his ,culture and heritage is
one strong pillar of Arabic identity and a powerful factor of unity. Only then will we realise
the siginficance of confrontation and taking up this tremendous national and regional
challenge.
