It
is the work of the farmer cultivating his land,
and the gathering of neighbours chatting the night away, it is their songs and dance, the
harvest and reaping olive and orange and threshing corn on the BAIDAR.
For
all this I dedicated myself heart, mind and soul to register this holy weave of our heritage
and wondered around the bosoms of this heritage touching it and breathing it so as to present
a work throbbing with life and warmth.
I
tried the best my ability and far from claiming perfection of this accomplished work.
All I could was to add yet another brick onto this monument of civilisation. I only hope this effort I exerted in each and every one of these painting combined in this volume will meet with the approval of the viewer and that it may impact all to carry out their own undertaking in the preservation and revival of our heritage, to develop it, modernise it, and take it a source of inspiration to build for our people and nations a better present and a more promising future. The lord I beseech to guide our steps.
