It is my pleasure to
introduce Vilnius Gediminas Technical University - a pretty young but
fast developing higher education institution.
You are welcome to meet the following vision of ours:
the university oriented towards the European academic space, capable to
prepare specialists competitive in a wide market.
For the vision to come true, the university must be open, ready to expand
and develop both in its quality and quantity.
The openness of the university is ensured by the international study
programmes in English carried out in all the faculties. The number of
students, constantly growing in all the faculties, proves the developing
quantity of the institution. The variety of study programmes and
specializations characterizes the qualitative development of studies (the
total number of study programmes is up to 40 and approximately 200
specializations).
The three-tier system has been implemented at the university since 1990. The
plans of both the first and the second tier studies allow the fundamental
knowledge be applied in practice quite successfully. That is why the
employment rate of our students is so high!
