Academic regulations for
foreign students |
|
Corroborated by Recorate on June 15, 1999 |
Students are organized according to the University Statute, study
regulations, curricula and other relevant articles. All subjects
are completed by examinations. Examinations, course projects
(works) and diploma projects (thesis) are graded from 0 to 10.
Students must register for studies: by September 15 for Fall
semester and by February 15 for Spring semester. Tuition
fees are to be paid before registration. Tuition fees are not
refundable.
Students having debts in the first, second, third, or in fourth
semester, they are not allowed to continue studies in the third
year. They will be dismissed or have to repeat the second year
again.
The
student with academic debts (from first and second year) can
repeat the courses, provided the full tuition fees are paid.
The
attendance of lectures, laboratory works and practice lectures is
compulsory. A student can take examinations only and only if all
necessary works (laboratory works, control works, homework,
projects, middle exams, etc.) are completed. The students, having
not made the laboratory works on time, are allowed to repeat them
during next academic year with the group of lower year students
(have to pay, see p.13).
However, the students of Architecture program must present their
project works according to the faculty schedule.
All
exams should be held during the examination (session) time. If a
student fails, he is allowed to pass the exam one more time,
during the official re-examination week.
Each examination taken after the examination period requires an
extra payment (see p.13). Re-examination is allowed only, if a
permission from ISC is granted.
Persons who have completed their undergraduate studies with grades
average "7" and higher have the right to continue their studies
for Master's degree.
Students who have successfully carried out all study tasks can
prepare the final diploma project (thesis). All individuals who
pass the final diploma project (thesis) are presented an engineer
(architect) Bachelor university diploma (undergraduate studies) or
an engineer (architect) Master university diploma (postgraduate
studies).
A
student may only change his program (in engineering fields) during
the first-year studies. Afterwards the program may be changed only
in special cases and in accordance with the requirements of
programs.
Students are provided with access to laboratory, library,
computing, sports facilities.
All
expenses relating to the registration fee, visa, copying of
literature, repeating of curriculum and re-examinations as well as
laboratory works (see 13 below), and medical services are the sole
responsibilities of the students. |
