All the old boys out there, my fellow brothers, if you haven
known - Cat High is in a huge CRISIS!
From what I know, it
started with a 20-page petition written by sec 3 Wee Seng (my
debates junior). I have not read it but here's an excerpt:

3. Reasons of Request
3.4.1.3. He caused the breaking down of a teacher in public,
where when he scolded the students of Class 3-9 of 2006 for
being late. Mrs Alice Long, as form teacher, defended them, and
Mr Lee then blamed Mrs Long for being irresponsible and letting
her students to be late. The students then told Mr Lee that it
was not the fault of Mrs Long, and that they were fully to
blame. He then scolded both Mrs Long, who was totally innocent,
and the late students. This trauma of being scolded on
absolutely no basis has made her break down.
3.4.1.3.1. Mrs Alice Long’s record as a teacher has been
excellent, and has been constantly producing As in the ‘O’
Levels, and is very well respected by the students.

Basically, it is about
the poor leadership by Hak Boon, where the teachers were 'asked'
to transfer. It also questioned the reason for having many
statues including the Mother Mary that greets the visitors at
the school gate. That comes after he repeatedly seek donations
from students and make them pay for worksheets.
Eventually, the police
stepped in to investigate on this 'corruption' case on how he
manages the school fund but nothing happened. Well, what can
happen even if he spends all the donated money on statues? The
poor students have to continue paying for their worksheets I
guess. The newspapers heard about it and wanted to cover on this
story, but Hak Boon threatened to sue? And he told the students
that the matter is put to rest, after MOE told him to be
careful. Now, I have to be careful here because some blogs were
closed down. Heard that Wee Seng made an official apology and
went for counseling. But we all know the truth better, don't we?

teachers leave, it is the official defeat and downfall of Cat
High. Mrs. Neo, Mrs. Anna Tan and Mrs. Chung... omg the
legendary 'Charmed Ones' as Jeremy and I used to call them. For
English, Math and Physics respectively. Although Mrs. Neo always
fail our English that we are so desensitized to it, it was all
good. For the 'ecstatic, jubilant, exhilarating, gay, elated'
time we spent together, and till today I still feel guilty for
not scoring distinction for my English... yes I cried after I
received my O levels results. Mrs. Anna Tan always had the smile
and although she never taught me, I remember she told me to work
hard and asked me about my A math. One thing, I don't even know
how she knows me... Mrs. Chung never taught me also but she
remains the favorite teacher in Cat High. Every teachers' day
she's swarmed with students. I remember clearly when she was
blasting at us during PCCG for not starting on our TYS when we
are sec 3 during May. She spoke about how her RGS nieces
finished TYS in Sec 2 and started on A level syllabus in Sec 3.
Nobody believed her at that time but when I went to VJ and met
the RGS girls, it was soo true! Long lao shi in the list also,
in charge of Chinese Orchestra from bronze to gold. What can the
CO do without her, there's still the Gold-with-honor next year.
Long mo mo, as we used to call her and even my mom knows, she's
my source of advice when I had to deal with issues in NYPCO.
Bobby Yong and Goh Yong Han are old boys of the school, great
Chinese and PE teachers respectively. I remember Mr. Goh made
the entire class stay in push-up and made Alaric sing the school
song, just to test us on our knowledge of the school song. Add
this list to the ones that have left... like Mr. Terence Goh,
Mr. Siau Choon Fui, Mr. Lim Tow Wee... haix. Cat High is already
in Band 3 liaox, without these teachers its going to be worse.
Imagine how the
students preparing for O level feels, all these distractions.
Knowing that his teacher is going to leave and putting his/her
efforts to teach him. I can't imagine the next Teacher's Day,
when all the old boys knows that this is possibly the last time
seeing their respected teachers.

I interviewed Hong Junyang today... simple questions like
Describe your CD, what's your fav song in the CD, how is acting
and hosting different, what are your future plans etc. He was
sooo nervous lo, stumble on words, dunno why, haha. More nervous
than me sia, lolx~ He took like half an hour to make up and do
his hair...argh! But overall ok la, quite friendly.
I was reading through
my previous 2 blogs Reality Shieh and refreshed the times I
spent at secondary school and JC, quite interesting arh. I
blogged alot more about reality shows than I do now i think,
quite sad huh. haha.
22nd July
Stupid danielpoh hasn't contacted me at all since he left for
Thailand on Wed, maybe there's no computer there but i doubt so
bah. Maybe he's busy... we actually spent his last two days in
Singapore, great fun. Monday we went to eat dinner at AMK, saw
that Tim gave him a scrape book with photos of them together.
The first one was when our class, we were all Sec 1 on the FIRST
DAY of school in Cat High, orientation. We were sitting in the
auditorium, probably learning the school song?! omg, we were
soooo young and small at that time. so touching rite... After
dinner we went to play pool, which I lost by a small margin. 2-1
score out of 3 games, so i muz train harder to bao chou...
actually i haven't played for almost a year liaox. Then played
arcade, haha. House of dead... Striker 1945 aeroplane game,
Metal Slug, Photohunt and driving games...we spent so much larhx!
Then daniel forgot that
he had to meet his fren at AJ, n forgot to buy something for
her. So we ran over to Sportslink and shopped quickly and ran
over to AJ! sweat sweat... haha. The next day, he came over NYP
and we had lunch, den did pullups which he assisted... nv done
that for 2yrs liaox, to have someone assist so well, haha. Then
went to play arcade again, haha. Then wished him all the best on
the phone before he left... one year leh... v. long sia. The
morning after he left, I bled when i brushed my teeth la! So
scary lopx. Stupid danielpoh, hurry email/msn me lahx!
In school, I wrote my
first short story in prose...for Canon DV Fest where we have to
produce a 15 minutes short story. My team all very excited about
shooting this story, Rachel can't sleep haha. I've been thinking
all about it also, trying to iron out the details. We spent like
one whole day doing literature review and clarifying all the
issues and details of the story like characterization and logics
and flow and symbolism. Really like going back to lit class,
haha. i haven written a short summary yet, will need to think
hard about this so as to not let the ending away. =) really
excited about it, hopefully we can win haha.
17th July
Had my napfa and CHMA on the same day - last friday. Napfa had a
technical fail at pull ups lo, sianz. Realise that after
cheonging the situps, cannot do pullups liaoz so its something
to worry about. Bunching all the stations together, very not use
to it lopx cos nv train up liddis, so all the stations did badly
lahx. sad ritex
Then after that went to
pick Xing'er up for CHMA which we were running late cos of Napfa.
Met Louis & Alicia on bus 13 den something funny happened. I saw
the bus conductor came up onto the bus, realising that I was
using my bro's ezlink card, we quickly alighted at the next
stop. So we came down and the bus 88 was behind, so boarded it.
you jing wu xian larhx, den i was seeing whether the bus
conductor will alight and board 88...luckily didn't. So much for
being a bad citizen, lolx.
Anyway, jus in time for
CHMA lah so we settled down and the opening act was beatboxing.
Then the two rappers doing another eminem song?! but not as good
as Jus Lose It which they did @ chma03 and HCJC last year.
Overall, all the solo vocalists were technically decent but no
X-factor or entertainment, very boring! gosh... instrumental
category, ok lopx, yang qin won becos of his cute factor n VA...
the electone wasn't that impressive. The whole show got killed
because of poor technical and sound, everything was too soft!
Even the emcees, omg, one was ok but the other just mumble all
the way! Feel like stabbing them. The lucky draw was a disaster,
the way they host it, lost all the glitz factor. They still gave
away ipod shuffles and mini but it didn't add to the show.
Fortunately, Mark Tan
came onto the stage and saved the day. Justin Jap & Marcus Sim
sang Right Here Waiting... dun think they should do duet lahx,
lost the entertainment factor. tho they are vocal powerhouses.
Mark trying to do the chinese thing is juz so funny, hahax. Then
Shao Xian sang An Jing and She's the one... best act of the
night. Twohill didn't get on stage at all, probably due to
contract obligations. Overall, this year very sadz lahx,
deprove in standard and logistics. Then again, I like the
backdrop which was classic like bar liddat, and the video, very
good standard for secondary sch students.
Anyway, we left the
school and then I suddenly remember, I wasn't using my bro's
ezlink card. He took it for his oral... so I panicked and
alighted the bus for NO REASON! lolx, how dumb of me rite.
lamer... den Xing'er suggested to go Sembawang for roti prata,
got taurus and alvin there as well. Not bad larx the prata esp
the roti john, like pizza liddat..lolx.
Yesterday went to
Republic Poly for CPF game & Poly Forum faci meeting. Both event
CLASH lehx, whoa piangz. Napfa & CHMA clash on same day i oreadi
sian diaoz liaox, now at another poly oso can have clash of
events~! >.< So I went for the meeting first, den left halfway
for the CPF game... which someone from RP scored almost twice
higher than me lahx, he must hav cheated on the die (singular
for dice). Stupid game lahx, kena hack by students on the die.
Then went back to PF meeting where my sub sub team is doing v.
well in progress. quite satisfied about it.
11th July
Just watched till ep 18 of Dance of Passion and finally the show
is getting into faster pace and better plots. On the surface, it
has larger themes like gender discrimination, superstitious
mentality, the old vinegar always bully the young and
power-craving men. ah well, muz wait for the later episodes...

sleeping in the print room, sian diao lo, first time sleep in
there already kena caught. totally sian diao lo, so suay sia.
there goes my A for tep liaoz, haix. suan le... my future is
bleak. totally sianz in print lo, doing something that im not
interested in. sianz la, i'll stop here.
6th July
So many things going on in my head that i dun even know where to
start. Juz a sudden sense of lost & depression. hmm... been on
this screen for 10 minutes le... start with school ba, TEP just
covered Orion singing competition, some of them are really
talented but i'm looking forward to chma instead, haha. CO
suddenly attacked by other CCAs and Estate, sudden wave of
politics and im so tired of it. its not even a big deal but haix,
ren shan bei ren qi (kind hearted ones are always being
bullied). was watching Dance of Passion (aka sequel of War N
Beauty) which is another xin ji zhong show, a lot of politics.
