On the way home, met Ms. Saras. She said that Cat High may become the 2nd school to have International Baccalaureate program, along with ACSI. MOE says ACSI IB cohort not big enough, so need to pool another school. So it's probably between Cat High and SJI, choose one school. Clearly, ACSI has become the model school of commercialization... Then Hak Boon said Gong Jiao probably rank 7th even if we include RI, RGS and TCHS... nice surprise!

Then at home, my father and I went to NTUC to buy rice... haha he buy the wrong sort of rice lah! 20kg some more! Gonna suffer 3 years of soggy/rockhard rice. Then he sat at the front of the trolley and ask me to push him! Diaoz... Then I tell him hor, to set up a comics shop at Vista Point where there are so many schools around and there isn't really a comics shop in Woodlands area, sure very chi xiang. 

Tomorrow going down to Yushof Ishak tomorrow. Gong Jiao dictators... rock on man~!

30th March
Raining... didn't go Gong Jiao in the end and now I actually feel so bad. Heard that Robin and Mark were there to help them spar and prep, I should have been there but I didn't. What is wrong??? This friday is make or break against CHIJ(TP) at the worst location possible - Yushof Ishak sec. Been there 3 times from sec3 to last year as senior, if I'm not wrong we lost all 3 there, cursed place and you can call it superstitious. Last year was Mark's bday there some more, which we jack him against the pillar there! Deep inside, I'm also worried for them because they cannot afford to lose without breaking into the quarters, especially Shawn, Kanneth Kang, Nicholas and B.Wong who are sec 4 le. The pressure is paramount and that's why debating is fun... its a competitive sport, the patriotism for the school to thrash another school, the spirit that passes down each generation. Ok, shall go cat high tomorrow...

29th March
It started off with a serene and tranquil day where I met up with Lihui & Siti to rent mangas and hang out. Reading Hikaru No Go, quite a funny book. Then we bought the basic theory TYS (ten-year-series for those who forgot), then proceeded to have a meeting in CO. Came out and saw VC, she replied that the electives should be out after exam results. Jap is no problem but German class may get cancelled due to lack of numbers. Then I saw the SBM OGL camp, syazwan maxine eve huien ariel yiting kelly kevin all look quite sian to me. Ok I'm bias cos I dun hav confidence in the SBM club after the ghastly orientation which I don't want to recall. 
* For the cat thing, its still fighting outside! Reply to siti : Zi fei yu, yan zi yu zi le. Super cheem ancient Chinese idiom, meaning "you're not the fish, how you know if the fish is happy or sad". 
Then was reflecting about this semester, and to my horror its not that successful. Foolish as I am, it slowly and gradually gained speed to fulfill the promise and I didn't realise it until now. Freak!

EARTHQUAKE! In the night was having web-cam chat with teckie then she started typing 'Earthquake!!!' and I saw her so shocked on the cam, the cam shaking and all. Was kinda skeptical at first cos she stays at Lavendar, then she rushed offline and I was stunned. Called her on the phone, she was crying or almost crying... was trying to comfort her but I also didn't know what to do. She got out of the house with her family, brought only the handphone and no money. So my idea of having her drink something hot was infeasible. Ended up joking with her about sasuke and naruto. As the sound of music song goes "When the storm bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling scared. I simply remember My Favourite Things and then I don't feel so bad..." Later I saw the news, 8.5 quake at Sumatra. Poor teckie, she was so scared. After about 30 minutes or so, she felt better le and phew... what a night!

28th March
Just uploaded background music for the blog, hope you all like it. Was blog surfing and as usual, everyone so busy and so much to blog about. Then I almost forgotten what I wanted to blog about... poor memories. 
As usual, the 2 kats fighting outside at the corridor again! Then I tell my papa, let's go out and watch! Saw one of the kat pregnant which ran away at the sight of us. The male one ran up the flight of stairs and stopped. Then I saw something shocking, one of the ears was cut! As in like using a scissors to cut the tip of the ear! My papa say it was a marking by the authorities to show that the cat went through operations so that it can no longer reproduce. SO CRUEL! I'm not that pro-animal loving but I'm definitely anti-animal-cruelty. Cut of the ears, yikes, I can't even imagine doing ear piercing on myself. Then again, NOW I know what the cats are fighting about... If the male kat cannot reproduce, how come the female kat can be pregnant?! 

The Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown
Robert finds himself being framed as a murderer after the death of the curator of Louvre museum which house many famous paintings. Together they explored the clues left behind by the curator, which leads them to the ultimate truth of the sacred feminism that will shatter the very foundation and principles of Christianity. The truth offers another side of the story found in the bible, something that the Church had manipulated and hide for centuries. On the search, they explored various Da Vinci paintings such as Mona Lisa, The Vitruvian Man and The Last Supper which acts as clues. However, the church Opus Dei is on the hunt to destroy it, the police hunting after Robert for murder... Who will break the code and find the treasure? 

It's always better to say the good things first, then the bad things. So here goes: The story brings the readers onto a code-breaking hunt which is very intriguing. Many mysteries to be solved, many breathtaking action and in-depth analysis and explanation of various historical phenomenons and Da Vinci's paintings. With the vast research on history and the widespread of this book, it is easy to trick the readers into believing everything that is said in the book. The plot is so thick and interesting that its like reading Kindaichi or Shelock Holmes. 

BUT the characters are pretty FLAT. Good guys are good guys, bad guys are bad guys. Some good guys turn bag guys, some bad guys turn good guys, that all. Also, as logical as some of the conspiracy theories may sound, the fundamental link that 'Churches has been lying for centuries' is a mere assertion that all men are greedy and they fear losing power. Then the author tries to explain various symbols and phenomenon as signs of the sacred feminism (e.g. The 4 suits in poker cards originated from the 4 suits in Tarot Cards which represent male, feminine, royal blood and goddess) But another theory is that the 4 symbols actually means the 4 seasons. On wikipedia, it says the suits were created in France and spade=sword.. So the book is selectively bias when presenting the theories and making them seems like facts.
And it exploits loopholes that cannot be explained. "The Bible is a product of man, my dear. Not of God. The Bible did not fall magically from the clouds. It has evolved through countless revision... History has never had a definitive version of the book." Thus establising the link that the Church is not telling the whole truth. It's like asking 'If God is so forgiving, why not spare everyone the suffering and let all go to heaven now.' These cannot be explained... that's why Christianity is a religion, based upon faith... not a law of science! 

In conclusion, the book is nice to read if you take the matter inside as a pinch of salt and PLEASE do not believe these lies in the book!

26th March
The irony in life... was reaching The Da Vinci Code on Good Friday. Slightly more than half way through the novel, I downloaded it lolx~ Too bored so I can't wait for Justin to lend me. I'll write a book review after I finish it k. Mediacorp didn't have any religious shows, not even The Littlest Angel. I watched Sesame Street (Elmo!!!), Winnie the Pooh (ee-hor!), little bit of SOUND OF MUSIC! The later portion of American Idol and finally Survivor: Palau. How can I miss Survivor rite?! 
In the afternoon was reading comics 'wu zhuang lian jing' (alchemist) and having the omelet egg that my papa cooked. Was listening to a CD which I burnt late last year, it included Ocean, Linkin Park, Hillary Duff and HI-5! hahaha~ 
Another thing, I keep getting this inivitation to join sms.ac and friends... PLEASE read the agreements and all carefully when signing up for anything that has got to do with internet access or hand phones because they charge into your bills. sms.ac offers 5 free web-2 -phone sms and after that, it's 50 cents per sms! 

23rd March
Yesterday woke up early to play badminton with KK Syazwan and Eve. But the school hall had exams, so they wanted to bowl but the Cathay alley opened only at 11. Then I suggested going YCK sports hall to continue badminton, which we managed to book and started playing. KK v. li hai and I lost to him a lot of points by his spike. Too long never play badminton le...
After that went to book driving test with KK, waited quite long and took some eye check. I saw the pink colour... they say it was orange! Oh no!!! I never have colour blindess wat!?! Luckily she say its not colour blindness... thankfully. Then sat with KK at the FJ from 2+ until 5+ tokking crap. He had a wierd chinese teacher lee moui moui very funny~! 
Saw the news about JC cut off point dropping. AJ science drop to 8 pts, freaky~! Mickey Mouse must be dancing his mickey mouse march. Saw Bryan Lum on tv... I thot he was going VJ de~ Wierd rite...

21st March
Met teckimaru, lihuimaru, siti and roshi at Somerset to have brunch at LJS. After that teckie went to work, the rest of us watch spongebob squarepants. In the toilet, piangz 2 ACSi guys waxing hair for so long! Block the basins~ See liao v. bu shuang. 
In the cinema, had one big group of Hwa Chong JC guys~ All guys, i think must be some cca bah, they chop the last 2 rows. The entire cinema only 2 kids, the rest all 17+! The show was ultra super duper lame... Goofy Goofer man or something! Then the best part was Patrick wearing that net socking for hookers, lolx! Everyone was laughing except the 2 ang moh kids who came alone. 
After the movie, went to Paragon to find Teckie where she works at King Kows, a kids shop. All the stuff there very ex lo~ For the rich only, other shops like GUESS kids! Then we went to Kino and at taka we saw a princess in royal dressing, with security guards and police. About 10 of them in a group, shopping! Dunno which country de princess lah~ After that went to Far East, I'm very very unfamiliar with that place lah, will be surprise to see a Gong Jiao student there! Oh we saw a sports car ultra cool, bright yellow and very flat! How the person squeeze in there man?! Went Borders and saw this Idiot's Guide to contacting spirits. We were stuck at the media section, so many nice books about films and movies!!! Saw a whole shelf of Harry Potter Bk 5 hard cover selling for $7.95 whoa liaoz, feel dam cheated lah! 
After that went for CO and heard some gossips about other schools SYF. Heard ZhongHua Sec is black horse, may be better than Dunman High! Then RV is practising 5 hours everyday~! Gong Jiao oso bu kan shi luo okay... every morning 7am-8am and then afternoon oso hav! Hopefully this year can finally get the gold for meow's sake.

20th March
Yesterday Justin and Alvin came to my house to play Mahjong, my cousin who's staying in my house also played. Stress relieve man.... I almost made shi san yao, got the 13 out of the 14 cards needed. Just needed a 'fa' and I'll game liao, stupid Justin kept 2 'fa'. 
Will be registering for driving test with KK on Tues. Stupid Daniel dun wanna take, say no need... last time 16 liao ask him play pool, he say pool will learn bad! Now 18 wanna drag him to pub, he say 'will learn bad'. Next time 21 can watch RA shows... eh I think he'll be dragging me instead. 
Last night had a wierd dream about Jane, Xiuqing and Xingqi from 04s61 (funny, all 3 are tkgs). I was near VJ, waiting for bus. Jane used a method to suan ming (tell fortune) for me, then I used the same method to tell XingQi's fortune. XiuQing was observing at the side... very wierd dream... 

18th March
Was blog surfing and something that Daniel Poh really struck me. It goes:

Eh, I think the spelling is correct, I'm not sure either! Haha daniel, same case here... i oso dunno abt it then. I think is a girl who invented the word and the concept of clique. hehe~ *bish bish - hantam by girls* haha be like me lah, just be blind to such things and heck care lah... who cares abt it manz, not ur problem oso.

15th March
My tag-board's turn to PMS liao, I'm seriously thinking of changing it to another server. Last night was surfing for information about Christianity out of the blue (that's a cliche) and came upon the word Hell on wikipedia. It talked about the Chinese mythology of the 10 courts in hell and how Yan Luo Wang was transferred from one of the court to another one because Jade Emperor think he was too lenient... Then one of the courts punishes tomb raiders, so the website put "Lara Croft better watch out!" LOLx! It's 12.30am now and about 8 more hours till the final exam. Only Caryn is on msn... the rest should be mugging or sleeping bah. Afternoon was doing webchat with teckie, and my brother was talking as well and showing her his drawings of comics characters, haha! She tied her hair so funny, feel like burning it! Then wanted to study in the late afternoon but listened to an hour of CD and went to take a nap! Only started mugging at 8.30 but switch the tv on at 9pm, saw the horrendous Killer Waves again! I hate tuesdays night, there's no tv shows to really watch except CSI which I hardly watch nowadays. So by fate and destiny, mug some more lo... Maybe should be like Kevin tmr, do it asap and get it over with. 

14th March
Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears! I came here not to praise Accounts but to bury it! For it is another product of the Matrix, a parallel ancillary branch of A math! Ergo, who can deny the truth that the sanctity of human intelligence shalt not be eroded by thy evil anymore! 
ok ok... in other words Accounting is finally over! Made some careless mistakes in the paper caused by the trick question and almost didn't compare apple for apple, pear for pear in one of the question. Rushed through last 15 minutes to redo that answer. Thanks Mdm. Sharifah, Mr. Paul Ng, Boon Tiam and other teachers for drilling in that. Paper was okay lah, sure have some people get full marks but definitely not me...hehe! Miss the time when the entire cohord fail English with only a single digit for comprehension! Yup, I remember I got 4/25 for that one, melvin that shen got 13...Quite exhausted for the term, glad that it'll be all over soon! 

Anyway last night was toking to DanielPoh, his family went China so he was online. He lasted longer than me... so rare~ While talking, there were 2 cats fighting outside. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon man, then after a while I turn and the cat was looking at me... the eye so round and bright that its jade in colour! Got a rude shock lah... den the some cats at the stairways having sex again... when cats have sex, they moo! ya I SWEAR my brother can also be a testimony, the cats MOO!!! 

13th March
After the 2hr spent at the library with eve and kelly on accounting, haven really started studying yet. So not in the mood to mug, so spent the afternoon finish watching Tri-gun. 3 cd = 3hrs lo. Then played warcraft which my bro just got, its so hard to play man! Told KK and syazwan they all that I wasn't mugging in the afternoon, they don't believe... I even sweared on God. Is it so hard to believe that I can be a slacker too? So started mugging at 8pm but now is 8:48pm haha, so not in the mood to mug lah! Sunday leh~ Later got Ang Tau Mui which mneo loves to talk about and always "you must write a story which tug at people's heartstring. Something local!" Ang Tau Mui becomes epitomises that winning formulae to score in O levels, which sadly I didn't follow after so much effort put in.  Then hor, my com hard disk space le, 9GB of full metal alchemist which I haven watch a single episode! Haha, i betta go sim lim and buy a big set of blank CD-R. Can't wait for the holidays!!!

* Leow Puay Tin's Ang Tau Mui
After watching the show I was so buffled and like HAR?! It's about this Ang Tau Mui (selena tan) who left home in her teens to persue her dreams of a singing career, idolising the 60s Lin Dai. She met a guy who eventually got chased by loan sharks. She sold her body in a toilet cubicle and later, the guy found out and left her. She then became the toilet cleaner, everyday charging 20c and cleaning the toilet. However her dream kept her alive and she continues with her mundane life when she said "I have a respectable job, a good life and I'm a modern women." However, her idol Lin Dai died and she lost her dream. The entire show depicted the very last day where she eventually died. The lyrics in the song goes "When you wake from dreaming, your moment of life is over." 

11th March
Planning post-exams activities is such a hard thing to do. One whole month of holiday not knowing what to do is a big issue, especially when everyone else are not having holidays and mugging for the MYE. Sorry lah, im always prejudice against NJ people cos they keep mugging and so hard to call them out de. Haix... what to do? 

9th March
Wheee! Went down to TPY for breakfast with lihui & siti, crapping abt Hakboonism. Then went for SSL klaz, did the rachel's parody thing. Mee Mum really act like Wendy Wong! Aiyo, why you all laugh?! After that, went with lihui and KK to AMK tianchi, ate qiu lian ban mian and then played arcade - mahjong! lolx! OH, then we saw THE INCREDIBLES dubbed in cantonese voice, super duper funny lah! Then got fake naruto merchandise that look so... fake! Sakura hair is purple!!! lolx so funny...

8th March
Ate laksa and calbee crackers and biscuits today, abit sick. Playing MahJong on the computer in the afternoon, cldnt study mah. KK and maxine they all started muggin le, haix... so ks, make me so kan cheong. So I missed CO and studied in the night, didn't memorise anything at all. I watched Killer Waves, it was like some 50s attack-of-the-spiders show. Got some actors to act on the beach, turn around and look shocked. Den cut in videos of the tsunami, den they run away! LOLX! Worst, they took low angle shots of the waves at East Coast and try to make it like tsunami. So bad quality lo! Den the best is, they have people running away in the foreground, den use special effects in the background to put the waves... but the people never get washed away, they just keep running! 

7th March
FINALLY! Got my hands onto the Cat High yearbook! Stupid Hak Boon delay it for a year, that's 365 days!!! Those of you who haven got it, just go to General Office and show your ezlink card. Before that, I met up with JJ to eat Qiu Lian Ban Mian first, miss it so much! Then went to school to collect the yearbook, saw Mrs Neo. She was just about to go HCI for drama syf briefing. Good luck to them, muz get the gold! Heard that Hak Boon gonna start an Arts Fest in Cat High this July, with CHMA as the opening and Esplanade as the closing. In between got other competitions and the *cough* Homecoming Day!

After the trip back to Cat High, went home and actually STONE! Was xchnging mp3s with Lihuimaru and playing games. Then I watched Striperalla for the first time, it's so exaggerated! Whoa piangz, quite funny!

6th March

It's here, brand new DA KIDZ theme! First it started out as Reality Shieh in blogspot, then the season went into the forums. Now, my new creation DA KIDZ has finally been published after 2 days of work.
If you're thinking why I chose this theme, well, quite simply because I find it so much simpler and happier to be like a kid... yup! As the saying goes "An ice cream makes Shieh a happy boy!"
Another new 'thing' about this blog is that it's no longer password protected, so my frenz from NYP can actually read it... This is after some requests and considerations.
One last thing, the cartoon character that you see is called Kikumaru Eiji from Prince of Tennis. I like him a lot because he's so kiddish, simple and jumpy. Hoi Hoi!
