This site is a daughter page off the larger Maintenance Support page for which I was project manager. It allowed me to make a one-stop repository for training, make monthly reports available to all our locations simultaneously (eliminated 1-2 weeks in turnaround time for report routing), provide automated web-based training (eliminated per diem and travel costs for some classes), and provided me and work center supervisors with the tools needed to maintain their training programs at our fingertips.
The purpose of the Logistics Training Program is to monitor maintenance training requirements and assist work centers to develop and implement effective training programs.
Training provides the maintenance activity with the skills needed to accomplish its mission. The Logistics Training Manager (LTM) oversees the Maintenance Training Program and monitors all maintenance training requirements, assists workcenters to develop and implement effective training programs, and is knowledgeable of the maintenance activity's training needs and the training resources available to satisfy these needs. The LTM also knows the maintenance activity's training status and provides this information to the Chief of Logistics, Maintenance Superintendent, and production workcenter supervisors on a monthly basis.
