This is the home page of the Self Inspection program. Here you will find a link to the local Self Inspection program OI, as well as guidance on the Self Inspection process.
LSK is the focal point and will provide oversight for this
program. The Self-Inspection program is an internal system through which the
unit conducts its own evaluation. By properly applying this program, the unit
keeps aware of its management posture and identifies areas that need extra emphasis.
Self-inspections may be either unit-wide or sectional and are conducted semi-annually
according to 48 IS LOI 21-001 para. 4.
Selp-Inspection Process.
Phase I: Preparation
1) Review and be familiar with all applicable guidances, previous Mission Effectiveness Inspection (MEI), other unit MEIs, Higher Headquarters Staff Assistance Visits (SAV), internal inspection reports, Special Interest Items (SII), crossfeed information and best practices, corrective actions, and follow-up responses.Phase II: Self-Inspection.
1) Select Team Members ( key functional area experts, not necessarily rank dependent) for each area.Phase III: Follow-Through.
1) Develop a game plan to correct deficiencies. Determine if outside assistance is needed.|
