Flooring

The flooring of the Masonic Lodges are covered with black and white tiled inlay.
It displays the dualism between the spirit and the body, or the desire to do good, and potential to do evil. (Zeldis, Internet)

________

This duality is exhibited in many of the storylines and settings of Twin Peaks.
However, more literally, the flooring of
The Red Room is also black and white tile inlay.

Since The Red Room is the waiting room for the
Black or White Lodges,
it is only fitting that it exhibits the same duality found in the Freemasonry Lodges.
