Escapade Build Report

After the brackets have been riveted and the glue dries, it is time to fit the fuel tanks.  It sits tight up against rib #2.  After it is sitting against that rib, the final rib (rib #1) is glued tight to the other side of the tank.  Make sure the wing is fitted to the fuselage when epoxying rib #1.

We built a rack for the wing with spare wood and PVC pipe.  It allows the wing to be spun all the way around to work on any part.  We got the idea from Jim Maye, another Escapade builder, from Cotter, Arkansas.  We visited Jim in February and built this rack from pictures of his.

A view looking back at the front spar, with the stringer and false ribs installed.  The false ribs go in between the actual ribs and are there to support the fabric in the gaps.

The wing tip support braces attached with epoxy and rivets.
