Escapade Build Report

For the cold Wisconsin winter months, we moved to a heated shop to work on the wings for the Escapade.

This is the I-beam wing spar extrusion going into the forward spar on the out-bound portion of the right wing.  Troy told us it was best to make a "V" cut on each end of the extrusion so that it could be lined up once inside the spar.

Next, it is time to put the wing strut attach brackets onto the spar.  After lining up all the holes with the extrusions inside the spar, a two-part epoxy ("gorilla snot") is spread on the two surfaces and the brackets are riveted into place.

At this time, it is time to attach the wing gussets with gorilla snot.  The hole is drilled in the middle to allow for wire to hold it in place while the glue dries.
