"Mexico: The Last Magical Country" |
Mexico City´s weather today and the weather you can expect in different seasons,
altitud and winds. |
ALTITUDE |
Mexico City is located on a plateau at 2240 (7347.2 ft) meters above sea level. This
is a lot higher than the average city but I´ve never known anyonene from any
country being affected by this. If you plan to do some excercise while in the city you may experience some fatigue but nothing out of the oridinary. For working out please try to avoid doing it outdoors (try the hotel gym) specially in winter (see "truth about pollution" for more details). |
WEATHER TODAY |
There are several places on the internet where you can find the weather on line,
however, the two that I´ve found as the most accurate are: Yahoo Intellicast |
WEATHER PER SEASON |
Mexico City is aprox. 200 mi away from the sea and there aro no significant lakes
near, You can expect the air to be dry throughout the year. WINTER: The temperature is almost never below freezing (we never get snow) and within a reange of 4 to 18 Celsius. A lack of rain and blue skies are also common in this season. SPRING: Higher temperatures arrive (between 10 to 32 Celsius) with little rain and scattered clouds. May is the hottest month. SUMMER: During summer rain is one thing you can rely on usually in the afternoons with some sunshine in the mornings (unless a hurricane is nearby in which case you can expect clouds and rain all day long). Heavy Hail may happen. Such weather will worsen traffic conditions for sure. FALL: Less rain (once or twice per week) and moderate temperatures (8 to 24 Celsius). |
