Rascal o' the Year

By secret ballot, each Lair elects a "Rascal o' the Year" at its annual Ball. The coveted award recognizes the Rascal who best exemplified the virtues of Rascaldom in the preceding year.  The Lair No. 1 Rascal o' the Year trophy, known as "Our Lady of the Interesting Thing", was created by Dan Morrison out of junk found at a Salvation Army thrift store.  It was first awarded in 1995.  Sadly, an email to the Archivist of Lair No. 3, dated October 2, 2019, reports that Our Lady of the Interesting Thing was thrown into the trash by its last recipient.

The Lair No. 3 Rascal o' the Year trophy, known as "The Ark of the Humidor", was created by Michael Moscherosch. It was been awarded annually from 2002 to 2005.  The honor then lay in abeyance and was not revived until 2023.  Tradition stipulates that the Rascal o' the Year trophy must be prominently displayed in the home of the winner.
