Michael is a charter member of Lair No. 3 and a signer of the Lair No. 3 charter. He won the Last Cigar Tray at the 2001 Mass Challenge of Lair No. 3. He was named Rascal o' the Year at the 2002 Rascals' Ball of Lair No. 3. He won the 2003 Mass Challenge, which was to create a patentable item, with his "Device to Avoid the Auto-Extinguishing of Cigars." He won the 2020 Mass Challenge, to produce a chain of an unusual substance. Michael is a member of the Ephorate and the Abbot of the Order of Rapscallions. He won the Rascal o' the Year trophey for a second time in 2023. He has attended more meetings of Lair No. 3 than any other person -- 86 as of August 2023.
