Meet the Planners of the 10th
. . . and they really did try!

It all began with a simple e-mail: SUBJECT: EMT Batch 11, Tenth Year Anniversary, sent to the present NSC employees.
Then Dion wrote suggestions on the venue as well as the responsible persons for the details of the event. He wrote: "I nominate myself for the program or food or arrangement committee. I think Jessie is good at holding the PURSE. . . . Ferdie and Jonath will be our security officers . . . Everybody knows [they] are effective in this endeavour. Aying in food is a choice so good. Jong and Pons is synonymous with boom na boom fun -- -- let them have the party games and fun. . . . Litow will be the music man --with Lagers and Reynan. Rey Run or Rey Gonz or Rex with the site arrangement.
"The rest and everyone will be managers in one way or the other. Of course, I nominate you as the Overall Chairman of all. You're just the man who can raise the baton for us to play our part."

Jong for his part e-mailed "we [Jong and Eric] suggest that we have a family day (kids & 1^st wife) at the beach - it will be a whole day affair though. Also, I suggest that we solicit funds & invite our batchmates who are in abroad or outside NSC - that’s if they can join us in so short a notice. Anyway, I’ll try contacting & raising fund thru Bampi & Fred. I’ll just feedback to you their respective responses.
"Remember, this celebration is a unique one not only that we been here for 10 years thru thick and thin but this is the last before we enter the new millennium - we don’t know what will happen next year.
"Keep up the fervor - we only have 8 more days to prepare."

And my job was to send e-mails to inform the group of updates and minor snags, to keep the spirits and fervor up. Hope I did it right and did not overdo it! It was Eric who made the nitty-gritty details, who's in-charge of what, who brings the what, so simple that it really did work!
